The thing with the FX series is that it pales in comparison to some of the 4 core intel CPU's, but its capable of Hyper threading. The downside is not that much consumer software uses it yet (games don't, if you move onto video editing some of the higher end stuff might use it) but by the time software uses it. AMD and Intel will have better processors out. If you're going for silence, the HAF series cases are kinda counter intuitive. They're "FANS EVERYWHERE" cases and are very loud, they're also ugly but I think that's just my opinion. Oh and if you search around you can find a Caviar blue 1tb for a couple of pounds more than the 500gb model.
