Looks really nice, despite Kinect not working 100% (what do you expect).

The dashboard looks great.

As expected, it's not just some of the PS4's having problems out of the gate. The XBone is having some issues too.

Consoles just aren't built to last these days (or in these cases, not built correctly to start with). My Original Sega Megadrive still runs flawless, whilst i'm struggling to own a current/last gen console for more than a year and a half before it gets replaced.

consoles are cheaper to own, dork... plus they play games without needing new upgrades...

err, wat

this myth where hardware suddenly goes out a month after release is just that... a myth.the 8800gt's and 9600gt's are 2006 and 2008 era and still run games.

The "very good" tier build ($600) can run games no sweat, and $600 is relatively conservative, this isn't even accounting for the fact you could find parts on sale and save a bunch.

I have a decent pc I built, its outlasted all my ps3's (with a few components replaced over the years) But I'm ready for a new build soon.

Still doesn't change the fact I want a console. I prefer them for gaming, and I like the tailor made games which you can't get on PCs.

I think that if you built a pc now, it would play every game coming up this generation on at least medium settings.

But, as im finding out.... PCs that are custom build are a pain in the ass to run, as all the preloaded stuff you need (speciifically in my case, c++ libraries that dont automatically get installed). Its taken me three months to get my pc running w/o bsods....

Im using it as a set top box as well, though, so it requires more work. With gta having came out in september i havent even played a game on it...

In addition, pc's require constant attention, updating, virus protecting, ect... Unlike a console where everything is automatic.
