That's how Billy Mays went out. Well, not the suitcase, but the ensuing concussion, followed by sleeping.

Review The Last Thing You Watched
Massacre replied to Psy's topic in Graphics, Media & Entertainment
Disgusting. I'd rather watch obese-black-granny-scat-beast porn, and force myself to masturbate to it. Mila Kunis is hot, though. -
Finally finished it. Fuck, I loved this DLC. Nothing in New Vegas - or Fallout 3, for that matter - felt even remotely as desolate and post-apocalyptic as Lonesome Road. I loved the Marked Men; their origin is fascinating and their armor not only looks great on its own, but also serves as scrap for repairing any other medium armor. I hated the Tunnelers; they're more of a nuisance than a real enemy (I only took three hits from them the entire DLC), their origin is basically impossible, so they never ended up making sense to me, and they felt too random and out of place in the Divide. The weapons? Meh, barely touched them, aside from Red Glare, which I was immediately able to fully mod thanks to the thousands of caps' worth of junk sitting around. Seriously, the amount of miscellaneous loot scattered around is insane. I walked away with nearly 500 stacks of pre-war money, and about 50 or so duct tape, wonderglue, sensor modules, etc. It's going to take forever to run around and pick up all the loot caches I left behind when my weight was too high. The shoulder-mounted SMG was pointless, I can get more done with my Survivalist's Rifle, but the Industrial Hand was fun to play with. The best part, of course, was the end game, the meeting with Ulysses, the man who'd put the Courier through so much over the course of the base game and DLC. I loved the way Uylsses spoke and carried himself, how everything he said and did was tied to history, be it the Courier's history or that of the real world. While most people would be out for revenge, I feel like the peaceful route was the way to go, the only way to get all the answers and have a truly epic ending, regardless of how the missiles were handled. I also have a new-found appreciation for ED-E. There. I think I kept that vague enough to not qualify as a spoiler. Fuck tags.

Why do you still come here? Look, I get that you're stupid, but you can't really be stupid enough to think that you're actually accomplishing anything by making all these accounts. How much of a loser are you that you were banned over a year ago and still try to come back every month? Right, your posts disappear when you get banned. Forgot. -
Since you mentioned it after seeing the trailer (I assume this isn't a spoiler), technically, there aren't two of Ulysses' outfit in the DLC, there's his outfit with the Old World flag on it, and there's a 'Courier Duster' with one of four designs on the back. There's some kind of "hidden" point system that determines which coat you get, but I couldn't make sense of it or how to get a specific coat.

Another thing about being able to come and go freely: If you want to play Lonesome Road on a character that hasn't done the other DLC, you can get a taste of LR, then go clear out Honest Hearts. Once that's done, you can dig through a little more of LR, then go fuck around Big MT. As tough as the enemies are, the DLC has sort of a casual feel about it, much more accessible than the other DLC that leaves you stranded until your business is done. Also, while getting my "final" courier ready for LR, I realized that I hate Dead Money all of a sudden. I just couldn't motivate myself to step into that bunker.

Nope, no slideshow. I guess you're meant to find out the legend of the Divide all on your own. Feels weird not having one, though.
-
Been a while since I played any DLC on a console, but on PC there's two pop-up windows, one that intros the DLC and one that says "[DLC name here] has been loaded. Your level cap has been increased by 5." The first one says something about a message from Ulysses.

It's not Ranger armor, it just looks mostly the same. But better.

That's sarcasm, right?

And now, Warlord Industries presents: Spoiler-Free Spoilers, Lonesome Road Edition, Part 1 As expected, the entrance to the Lonesome Road area is in the Canyon Wreckage. However, the wreckage isn't cleared out at all, you enter through the door of the crashed bus. Before you enter, check the containers, there's a new healing item in one of them. I lol'd. As you enter the Divide, you immediately get a sense of how fucked the place is. You will also find one or two of the new healing items in nearby containers. You'll follow a short path, and enter the first building. There's plenty of cool shit in here, you'll find a new weapon and a new head item right away, and if you have a few thousand caps to spare, you'll be able to get another variant of the Ranger armor, arguably the best-looking one yet. You'll later find another new weapon, a sort of sub machine gun, and the Bowie Knife you see in the Sentry Bot's head in the trailer, and three new outfits. Then you'll end up back outside, and, well, you'll see.

I've got Gears 3, I might not be playing this until tomorrow, either.
-
Nothing about the courier's past is revealed in the game, except what we'll be finding out in Lonesome Road.
-
Breaking news: I've 'linked' the media to being a colossal proud american. Someone arrest all the reporters.
-
I might buy it if they get a GTA that won't be ported to consoles later (like LCS or VCS, not Chinatown Wars), or in the unlikely event they ever make Fallout for portables. If not, fuck it.

For most people, as Fitty said, it's 'likes.' In my case, it actually is pure awesomeness. In Demon's (or whatever stupid name he's using now) case, it's some noob that makes a half-dozen accounts every few months and 'likes' a bunch of his posts. Demon's actual rep is -29. -
A bunch of people on SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) do roleplay like that, and on the few occasions I played IV online, I wound up in a few Free Roam games where people were roleplaying. Needless to say, I trolled the shit out of them. But anyway, the normal life option could work.

Back when I lived near Cincinnati, there was a shooting almost every night. I think we had the highest number of unsolved murders in the country for a few years in a row.
-
I was thinking exactly that when I got to "overseer's office" in your post. So, now I have nothing to add, but I still feel obligated to post, so... Here's my post.
-
I think Rage has co-op. Maybe there can be co-op wasteland shenanigans once that's out and had a few price drops.
-
I've been aware of this for some time. I see the Housers every year at the Cult Leaders' Conference.
-
I don't know, Lonesome Road looks a lot tougher than Dead Money. As much as I'd like to get to it as soon as possible, it looks like there are serious preparations to be made before you can walk that road.
-
The red things, they look like they've been skinned. I'm thinking it's something like the Troggs in the Pitt: Not quite ghouls, but some similar or more severe level of mutation, with various levels ranging from mostly physically intact, but crazy, to monstrous and, uh, more crazy. As for their being two coats like that, Ulysses says to "Bring your bull, or two-headed bear, or whatever flag you're carrying now," so I'm guessing you find one of the coats early on and it displays the symbol of whoever your allegiance lies with. Now, the screen that might be from the Mojave? All the Lonesome Road stuff appears to have that same hazy, dusty look to it, and this screen is normal Mojave lighting. There aren't any visible landmarks that make it clear it's the Mojave, but it's a wide-open area, too big for it to be part of Lonesome Road, because the urban area we've seen looks huge. I'm thinking the DLC will actually have some effects outside of the confined DLC zone for once.

Nobody makes a trailer like R*. This trailer took me from "This isn't GTA V, fuck this," to "I'm totally going to buy this used a year after it comes out."
