  1. That was my favourite helicopter. I'm going to have to pop San Andreas in too now, that shot of the marihoochie fields is just too much.
  2. Saw a part of this quote in the paper today, made me lol: Demetri Martin: Swimming is a confusing sport, because sometimes you do it for fun, and other times you do it to not die. And when I'm swimming, sometimes I'm not sure which one it is. I gotta go by the outfit. Pants - uh oh. Bathing suit - okay. Naked - we'll see. Should I be swimming faster, or am I getting laid? Eat your heart out, Phelps - you're not swimming to not die, you're only swimming for medals.
  3. Fyi, most of those gymnists are 14-16... You have to be 16 or turning 16 within the same year of the Olympics to be eligible to compete. So the gymnasts you'll be wacking off to can't be any younger than 15, FYI. What's the age of consent for that?
  4. I was watching some judo, I don't get it. The gymnastics has been awesome.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EWY7OYUcB0
  6. This is one of my favourites (and unscripted): Marney, that ski jump scene with Roger Moore is from The Spy Who Loved Me. The most epic Bond chase for me is this one (start at 2:20 if you want to skip the foreplay): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJubOZLpp4A
  7. Ankle-deep in beer-crime spills and puked-up bratwust while being deafened by the polka band...yeah, I didn't go back, ever.
  8. Well, shop windows are only allowed to display the Union Jack - if it's Olympic at all, they'll come shut you down.
  9. Dup, I can't watch your video, apparently I'm in the wrong country.
  10. Derailing topics - it's what we do.
  11. Yeah I like the idea of there being a subtle indication like the gold knobs. The gold knobs on this forum aren't subtle at all.
  12. Syria is sending 10 athletes, and Iran is sending 53. Both countries are sending male and female athletes (although there's one Syrian athlete that looks transgender...) I've got a professional interest in watching the opening ceremonies - I always wanted to work on an Olympic opening or closing ceremonies as part of the crew. Friends of mine who worked the Vancouver games had to move there between 6-14 months in advance to be part of the prep and rehearsals (if they didn't live there already). At that point, I'd already retired from showbiz and moved to the opposite end of the country, so it wasn't practical...but they are some of the biggest live stage productions done on the planet, and one of my favourite parts of the Games.
  13. I'm looking forward to watching coverage from the 2012 Olympic Games in London. What are your favourite Olympic events? Which country, team or athlete are you rooting for? I'm glad I don't live near any of the venues, and hear that traffic is already a nightmare. Will the Games be interfering with your day-to-day life (for the UK members)?
  14. You exactly captured how I feel about this series. I find it difficult to choose just one because each one has something unique that makes it my favourite. I still love hearing a "GTA song" come up on the radio and the memories it inspires.
  15. There is an option for this in notification settings too.
  16. I don't think I'd mind any other kind of critter. Too much Hitchcock growing up? Dunno why birds are not my thing as far as pets go.
  17. That's awesome, Vicey - I was hoping we'd have the boys for that long...alas, perhaps the next round of kitties will be as lucky as your Benjy. PS Fanboy, I fucking hate birds for pets, there's no way in hell I'd let a macaw, budgie or any other squawking flying feathered creature live inside my house. Birds are for eating or observing in nature, or at the feeders - I get lots of enjoyment from seeing hummingbirds, chickadees, woodpeckers, various finches and sparrows at the feeders by our windows, but they are not welcome inside. No, I've been eating it all as a tribute.
  18. Teddy was just over 13 years old. It's a big adjustment when you've lived with someone that long and they're suddenly gone.
  19. Only if it's a good-luck foot charm on a keyring, with a R* logo incorporated somehow.
  20. Did you get a pair of mittens from the fur, at least?
  21. Your Benjy looks like quite the Mr. Personality, Vicey. Here's my Teddy that just left us on Saturday: I forgot how chubby he was, this was from several years ago. This is a shot of both boys, Teddy and Miko (I didn't name either of them), every so often they'd sleep together: RIP my fuzzy buddies.
  22. Ironically, looking at your current sig, his name was Teddy, also called Teddy bear because of his uncanny likeness to a living Gund. The family that fostered him until I took him and his brother named him Theodore as a play on "theatre", since they knew he'd been earmarked to live with theatre folks...I was supposed to pick a new name after meeting him, but there was no reason to change it. I called him "minou" more than anything anyway, which is French for kitty. I'll post a pic later on in the appropriate thread.
