  1. If you'd consider stepping back into fantasy again, a few years ago I read the Long Price Quartet, I've read loads of fantasy series, but this one has in my opinion the most interesting concept - poets and andats. Murakami? I read something by him some time ago and it was quite good. I picked up and started on, because my dumbass never got around to read it before. Which Murakami? I've read a few books by Ryu Murakami which were quite short but were good stories (Popular Hits of the Showa Era being one example) but I assume you mean Hiroki Murakami. His writing seems a bit serious but I might check it out properly. The Liar's Key by Mark Lawrence is out in June - can't wait!! Will definitely check this out - still want to read Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale as well... Thanks all Yeah, Hiroki, 1Q84 sounds interesting. And yeah, I'm going to order Prince of Fools later, I found it under £5 on a website. I love Mark Lawrence. Post Office was pretty fucking amazing, definitely one of the best reads I've had in a long time! Now reading,
  2. Pretty sure I'm holding a bottle or something. Everyone else in that photo is Spanish, they are just friends I made here. At some point last year I met a few people, we started going to parties, met others, the group grew... Now I have my very own Spanish armada. There's LOADS of Spanish people down here in Kent, it's really cool - nice people and it really helped my Spanish too, feeling confident I'll get close to fluent this year!
  3. I think this was the night I tried to backflip off my pull up bar.

  5. I feel like I've been missing out on great literature, it's all about catching up. I don't necessarily read fast either, most of my reading happens during the night, unfortunately it's not every night I can read, other night time activities often take over and I find myself outside with drink in hand or keeping someone else's feet warm in a random bed in Kent. I've recently made the decision that I don't want to drink anymore during the week, this has been helping my reading time considerably. As the days go by and I keep myself sober, I am able to sleep a little bit better and my hands are less shaky in the morning,I also no longer wake up to a feeling of incoming dread. Somehow this post went from books to me admitting my borderline alcoholism problem.
  6. Increasing weights each week is unnecessary if you are performing the exercises correctly and know your strength. No one gains the strength to increase their lifts like that each week, it's all about finding the correct weight. The deadlift especially, it took me ages to increase my lifts after a few years - I could add more, but I'd be sacrificing form, and when it comes to deadlifts... one way ticket to snap city!
  7. You guys take QD way too seriously. The man is a poastering genius and you keep stepping into his poast-bear traps.
  8. Which affiliate program did you sign up with? CuntAds?
  9. Indy, try chest+tris. Bench will hit your tris quite hard, so after you're done with your tris the burn is insane! Last exercise: dips. Your triceps will be crying. I used to do chest+bis like most people (we used to call it "copacabana training") but i switched it up the last couple of years with great results! Edit: I don't lift anymore
  10. All I can say is that it looks brilliant! If I played any games and owned an iPhone, I'd be on the lookout for this!
  11. Worry not. That fella really wanted to join our big group for the night!
  12. My dad, who has some wine knowledge, has never bought a bottle of wine for more than €5. There is very good wine available for cheap prices. Although I'm not so sure here in the UK, even though all supermarkets sell wine from Spain, Portugal and Italy, the vineyards all seem to be British owned and I have no idea what goes on in there. I have bought £5 wine which was pretty decent... it's just harder to find good Port. I want a bottle of Ferreira ffs.
  13. I have been craving a bottle of Port since I came back from holiday.
  14. I don't know why OP would question people liking wine in his poll. Back where I'm from, and anywhere in the south, the pussies are the people that DON'T drink wine. With that said, red wine is amazing and I'm drinking far too much of it.

  16. Hell yeah. Ham on Rye was a great book.
  17. Go Charles Bukowski. I really want to pick up the rest of his books.
  18. Dude, I've been in Bluewater, it's ok, I don't like shopping centres, but let me know if you come any further down. Mote Park is pretty good on a sunny day.
  19. My office has a bunch of those keyboards lying around and I hate them. I keep pressing those G keys by accident - can't seem to get used to that layout.
