Regarding Margaery Tyrell:

In the books, we don't actually meet her until the scene at court where the Lannisters break Joffrey's engagement to Sansa and decide Margaery will be his new bride. So she wasn't hanging out on the battlefield with her husband Renly while he plowed her brother Ser Loras, the Knight of Flowers. I did think it was odd she was with Renly's host, they generally don't take highborn women to battle.

They introduced her early so we'd know who the hell she is. They do say the common people love her, compared with how much they hate Lannisters, so that charity-walking-through-shit scene was added to establish her character.

The scene in S3.2 last night where Sansa has lemon cakes with Margaery and her grandmother, the dialogue is verbatim out of the book...just a bit shorter and with fewer characters. I had just read that scene earlier in the day, so it was eerie to hear it echoed word for word in the episode a few hours later.

Regarding Massacre's question about Tyrion:

No, the midget doesn't die, at least not yet in any of the books to date. More deaths to follow, but his is not one of them. I suppose it's possible Martin might kill him in a future novel, but he's like Danaerys, too much of the story hinges on him to kill him off.

That's straight out of the book. Have you read them, Clip?

I've read the 1st and the first half of the 2nd but never got round to finishing it. This episode had an extreme lack of Danerys

The Grandmother scene was missing the singing fool though lol Minor detail, but I was expecting it.

I've read way too many other fantasy series to remember anything in GoT :(, I keep placing Logen Ninefingers in it, even though he is 100x more badass than any GoT character.

I felt that way all through the books too, always MOAR Dany please! Arya too, she's one of my favourites.

I hear you, between GoT on TV and rereading the books, watching Vikings, and playing a whole pile of Skyrim, I keep having these crazy medieval dreams. :P

read that scene earlier in the day

dam you better start readin faster or the show will pass ya

 I've read the entire series multiple times. Got the first three books about ten years ago. I reread them as a refresher after I found book 4 at my local library after moving east, and reread them again when book 5 came out. Now I'm rereading them again to follow along with the TV series.

George R.R. Martin has been diligently working on book 6, there is a preview available on his website. If anything, the TV series will catch up to the books in no time, and then we'll have to wait for another 1,000-page book to be completed before they can produce another series.

The ending to this weeks episode was brilliant. So glad to see Jamie's lost his right hand so that cunt can stop asking everyone to duel him.

you really need to put spoiler tags on stuff like this...

Theon Greyjoy's bum totally wanted it...

So, Daenerys Targaryen finally got her army, and made them freemen. I liked the way she took revenge on the unsullied slave lord for talking trash to her lol

I'm gonna start watching season 2 tonight. I know, I suck..

I didn't realise Stephen Dillane was in it. He was awesome in 44 Inch Chest.

This show is good, but i wish it wasnt so whorish. When im in the mood for porn, i want porn... This softcore shit is distracting.

The whole scene with the two whores and the guy when he is discussing the history of things and the whores fisting each other... Meh.
