  1. Comedy, live shows, TV, etc... all pointless imo. I would be happier if I heard there was nothing like that, then I would know they spent more time on something else.

The problem with the live shows/comedy club is there isn't an atmosphere, it isn't immersive, and it gets boring real fast. What doesn't get boring is blowing up everything in Star Junction at rush hour, because with the people screaming, traffic driving all over the place, lights from the buildings, police, etc, there's an atmosphere to keep you engaged. The canned laughter and recycled jokes are too distant for a video game, especially when most of the time, you'll be watching it on your own.

  2. As a result of playing to much Gears of War lately, another thing I'd like to see: Executions.

Remember in GTA IV when you could choose whether to let someone live or not, and if you killed them you normally got a gory execution sequence? I want to see that available for everyone. I want to be able to walk up to anyone and automatically shoot them in the kneecaps, and then in the forehead. There needs to be dozens of sequences, a few different ones for every weapon. SA and RDR let you assassinate people with the knife, definitely want to see it again in a better form in V.

  3. Multiple protagonists would be a mistake. GTA has always been about one person's story. RDR and LA Noire were the same actually.

I think the closest we'll get is the ability to choose what role we have in a mission, which might mean playing as a different character, depending on how the story is written. That would allow for co-op as well. It would still only be one person's story though.

It's a pity Gawker (company that runs Kotaku) can get so many hits by writing anything they like and calling it a rumour. I guess it gives us something to talk about though.

  4. share the big list duffman lol

Okay, from that one hour playing, my complaints were:

    • Car handling - suspension on sports cars in IV is too soft and you can't drift. Too bouncy on other vehicles. The engine overrevs every time you want to pull away quickly. I hope they can perfect car handling in V, it's a major part of the game after all.
    • Cover system - very glitchy and still was in RDR. Needs to be snappier, like Gears of War. I know they're going for realism but I would prefer slicker gameplay over perfect animation.
    • Wanted level system - you could outrun high wanted levels just by driving in a straight line in IV. It doesn't work that well.
    • Friends - we all know about this one
    • Car shops - why take out Transfender but add in car washes?
    • In game internet - it's funny reading some of the pages, but I would like a bit more interactivity
    • The 'rags to slightly better rags' story that GTA IV was supposed to be didn't really work out. You still ended up with over $1 million and fancy safe houses at the end of the game. If you're going to make us rich, do it in style, not with a subdued atmosphere to make it 'realistic'. And give us stuff to spend it on!
    • Audio is pretty weak, weapons don't have enough metallic/mechnical sound to them and all the cars sound like small family hatchbacks. Muscle cars should have solid bassy engine notes, sports cars should have high pitched ones.

  5. Its in your wardrobe after you kill Playboy (Reminder)

Yeah, funny how you remember stuff like that.

I only played it for an hour and came out with a big list of things that need to be fixed for GTA 5.

One of them came as I was watching the saxophone guy play against the sunset. I thought, this would be great if this game had a camera. Then I remembered the phone has a camera on it... but then I remembered you can't do fuck all with it. So changing that and linking it so you can upload photos to the social club would be fucking brilliant.

  6. I had a spinning GTA IV GIF file as my avatar for the last few months with no problems, only when I tried to upload the new one, it started having problems.

Yeah that was carried over from a previous upgrade, so that was different. I think the new cropper tool in the photo uploader along with merging avatars and photos into one causes problems for animated GIFs. Something to keep an eye on, they might fix it in a future update.
