I agree though with one of the posts above, in another 5 years or so hardware will hopefully be powerful enough to handle multiple cities, and then we should be able to fly to London, and free roam there, but let's face it - The US is so much better in terms of GTA.
I don't know why you think this will happen. PC and both decent consoles have hard drives large enough to cope with multiple cities, but they won't do it because it takes more time and money to make and they'll still only charge $60 for it. They also aren't going to chuck all the eggs in one basket and leave themselves with nothing to do for the next game.

iirc IV was going to be open from the start until quite near the end of development. If they restrict the map I hope they don't come up with faggy reasons for it.

Pets would be funny. You could sit on your porch, if a cat comes along to shit in your flowerbed you could fire an RPG up its rectum.
PETA shouldn't have a problem with that because irl, it's illegal to fire an RPG in public like that, and if you did it you'd be sent to prison.

I quite like the weight/muscle thing. I'd rather they kept it simple but if they don't, I hope there's a cheat for max muscle... arsed going to the gym all the time.
EDIT: ^actually, yeah, you're right. I don't want to have to stop for something to eat all the time.
Need more clothing too. Hair and tats are cool but not a necessity.

Free roam with a similar ranking system to GTA IV
Nah, that was crap. You had to boost to rank 10. At the same time though, I really hope they don't give higher ranks all the cool gear, like better weapons and such in RDR. That really spoils the essence of free roam for me.

Can we sub divide the GTA 5 section? That shit is getting out of control. Like, put car topics in one section, Trailers and other things attached to that in another. We gotta clean up the living room before we really get this party rocking.
We can do when it gets unmanageable, but I think it's okay atm. If you split it up too much when there's no need it just looks silly.
We could have separate forums for peoples ideas and official info, but there isn't enough of that right now to warrant it.

I think people forget the transformation Liberty City underwent from III => IV. I expect there'll be lots of complaints about it just being LS and the surrounding area, but it won't be anything like the one in SA. They'll make it work regardless of where it's set.
Also, the comments about there must be more than one city and multiple airports if there are jets... maybe, just maybe, they're adding all the stuff people have begged for from SA that they missed in IV. It's rare for developers to give people what they want but clearly someone at Rockstar has been listening.

I just wanted to point out my official guess is November the 20th ofcourse that would be in the US though not UK where we apparently have to brew longer until we can play an awesome game, cuz thats fair *mumbles to himself while tearing up*It's very unfair! after all rockstar practically came from the uk (Scotland,Dundee) Whoo scotland!
IV was a worldwide release. I don't see why this would be any different.

Yeah, looks too 'out there', but with jets in the game I can't see how they could block you from going up there without doing something really retarded. The sky limit might just be very high and the mountain detail not finished yet, or maybe the draw distance is set low so we're seeing a low-res version in the trailer. Who knows.

There are tonnes of hobos though did you see the hobo camp and all of them by the road I think we could be on to something here.
Did you see all the hobos on the pier in northern Alderney in IV? Of course there are going to be hobos, just like there are the super rich. GTA is all about rags to riches.

I saw a plane. So I'm happy if we can fly them bad boy jets. Oh and a blimp, that would be fun to fly for 10 minutes I guess.Free mode is going to be all about jumping out of a jet and landing on that blimp!

I'm not too bothered about the vehicles that return. I'm more excited about what new vehicles we'll be seeing. Did you see that nice Audi car in the cop-chase scene.
Pity it has the same treacle suspension as the sports cars from IV.

I wanted a 2TB external for xmas but seems a bit rich asking for it when they were half the price a month ago. One I was looking at on Amazon was listed for £70, now it's at £160 and rising.
