  1. Ya, almost zero chance of SF or LV, after all neither have anything to do with Southern California...hell Las Vegas isn't even in California, and San Francisco "is the leading financial and cultural center of Northern California." San Andreas was California as a whole, but V is only covering Southern California.

Now that leaves open only a handful of cities to choose from if they plan on using a real city as a second town in the game.

    San Diego to the south

San Bernardino to the east (although it might be too close to LA and be merged with Los Santos)

    Oxnard to the northwest

    Santa Barbara to the northwest

    Bakersfield to the north

    ...and that's about it.

  2. If you want to play SA go ahead and play it, nothing wrong with reliving memories. But GTA V will be nothing like it, sure they are trying to bring back the fun time feel with all these new things we've seen so far, which probably only accounts for 0.1% of the game. If you want GTA V to be exactly like SA it might as well be a wasted game, i'd feel pretty pissed off if I went out and bought it and it was 99% identical to SA.

I know bro, it will be "all for the money" because the V sign is like in the dollar one or whatever, I never saw a dollar in my life. I suppose it will be all business and downtown L.S, all that stuff. I just hope that they will make the same thing like they did in GTA IV-Episodes From Liberty City, like when you play with Luis Lopez, the part-time hoodlum. I hope they will make a dlc with those kind of missions in the ghetto :)

See, DLC is a good possibility, but not in the main game in my opinion. Personally I'm hoping for major missions based around the movie industry. I was disappointed they didn't do that at any point back in SA. After all whats the point of making Los Santos and Vinewood if you don't use them?

  3. Also going on Vice's post:

was all about Los Santos and the gangs and the gang banging aspect of the game. This time around there's nothing that suggests that street gangs will be a major part of V's plot. So I expect to see street gangs based on the Crips and Bloods but I don't expect to see the Grove St Families or the Ballas or to have all that much to do with their counterparts at all.

  4. They won't be there for the same reason St. Mark's wasn't in GTA IV. While both versions of Liberty City were more or less based on the same city they were both created in different ways. The same applies here. There will be areas based on Compton and Inglewood in GTA V but there's no reason to expect them to be named Ganton and Idlewood again.

But even if they were named the same I'm 100% certain that they will not be laid out the same as they were in GTA: SA. First of all you can tell from the helicopter screens that the city has a totally different layout, and from specific parts of the trailer that the neighborhoods look different too.

once you step on a certain area you get mugged or beaten up by gangs. have your car stolen/distroyed.

    Good God, no.

  5. Wow, that is a stupid idea...and one unlike anything Rockstar has ever done or is ever likely to do.

So no. No I wouldn't. Because Rockstar never would either.

    -EDIT-

Besides it's impossible. Some people don't have HDDs big enough for 2 extra games to be installed on their system, and Microsoft still requires all games to be playable on the 360 without hard drive installs, so you couldn't even do what you're talking about in the first place.

You could still play the games individually without installing them, and would basically be installing just the map...so it would be possible...

The only xbox that doesnt have room for three disks is the xbox arcade version.. All the other ones are atleast 20 gigs...

It would be annoying and stupid to have three games that are meant to be seamless split up into three separate disks and disk switching.

Also even those with 20 GB will have other games on their 360. Also movies and TV shows and DLC etc. 2 whole games take up a lot of room.

Also how would Rockstar even advertise this? 3 month gaps between the releases isn't long at all. The DLC for IV took 9 months before the TLaD came out, and 8 months after that for TBoGT, and those are much smaller then what you're talking about here.

You're not being very realistic here, which just make the whole idea of whether or not anyone would want to buy it kinda stupid because it's a situation that will never, ever, exist.
