  1. If I were to subscribe on there, would any of the admins be able to upgrade me on here?
  2. Any chance of an increased avatar size? Perhaps 120x120 or something like that? My avatar looks squashed to shit at this size. Hell, I'd even pay for a Gold Membership if it was exclusive to them. EDIT: Also, while I'm here, how exactly do I subscribe to become a Gold Member?
  3. I was trying to highlight the fact that regardless of whether you're online or offline, travelling from one place to another on horseback, despite how 'slow' it may be, can be awesome. It's not exactly like the game world has nothing in between A and B, anyway, R* added a shit load of side-missions to keep the player busy. I found it helps when you play some awesome music to accompany you, like 'Far Away'...
  4. I thought it was near-perfect, to be honest. And the 'slow-as-fuck travelling in a monotonous landscape' was something I thouroughly enjoyed doing. Even more so online when you were in a posse. Nothing more badass than seeing a group of four or five cowboys approach the town on horseback. It would be awesome if R* had some sort of country/rural area in GTAV where the folk still live like they did in the good ol' days.
  5. Why wouldn't we? R* hit the nail firmly on the head with the mission structure and variety of missions found in Red Dead. If they can carry that over into GTAV, they'll be guaranteed a sure-fire hit.
  6. http://gamepolitics.com/2011/03/17/jack-thompson-threatens-valve-over-school-shooting-mod Link says it all.
  7. The two games are completely different. Red Dead is epic in it's own way and L.A Noire will be epic in it's own way. Comparing the two games is flawed logic because they're games from two different genres. It's like comparing steak to chicken roll. Yes, they're both meat but they're meat on two completely different levels. (And, yes, I'm well aware I made a comparison between food to games....)
  8. Stop getting all up in my face, yeah?
  9. Demon, you need to play the episodes, especially Episode 2. Such a brilliant game.
  10. You are aware we already have a picture thread, right?
  11. The new Official Playstation Magazine has a huge article about L.A Noire. I'll be picking my copy up tomorrow so will post any new info, screens, etc. when I get the chance to. Game looks awesome so far.
  12. Oh, I know that but just goes to show that even though we're not directly affected by the earthquake and tsunami, it does affect our day-to-day life albeit on a miniscule basis. That, and I love reading articles like that.
  13. Shit keeps getting worse and worse for Japan. I'd like to see them avoid a meltdown but, realistically, I can't see that happening, given everything that's happened so far. It's going to be years before the country even begins to look like it used to. Also, kind of off-topic but on-topic at the same time. Source Crazy shit.
  14. I'm loving the 'Watch this thread...' feature, comes in so handy for keeping tabs on a discussion you're actively involved in. vBulletin had a 'Hot Topics' button for ages and I'm so glad IPB finally got on board with it. Features like this will only make iGTA5 so much better than the older forums. Good work, Psy.
  15. One of my favourite games this generation. I think the variety of missions and side-missions makes the game more bearable. I was worried Rockstar would just add the same mission structure as GTAIV but no, they blew the game wide open and made it so awesome. GTAV having the same structure can only be a good thing.
  16. Hopefully the release of Portal 2 will be a stepping-stone in the process of game development of Valve for PS3. With the intergration of Steamworks on both PS3 and PC allowing users to play each other cross-platform, we really are beginning to see signs of great progress for both Sony and Valve. With any luck we'll be seeing other Valve IPs make it to PS3 like Left 4 Dead.
  17. 360 version recieved a patch. PS3 got nothing.
  18. I think if they took the variety of missions from Red Dead, the gameplay elements from San Andreas, the humour from Bully and mixed it with RAGE 2.0 and a sick soundtrack, GTA5 will be perfect. Seriously, mission-wise they nailed it on the head with Red Dead. And I needn't bother going into why the gameplay in SA was awesome nor the humour of Bully. Just do it, R*.
  19. I was about to, asshole. One of my favourite photos, taken Boxing Day. She would've smiled had CBeebies not been on TV.
  20. It was shockingly poor. It seems that Valve have learnt their lesson though, what with the plans to link PS3 and Steamworks together. It wasn't really Portal or HL2 that was the problem (though HL2 did have a ton of bugs) but there was no online support for TF2 at all. Valve seemed to care for the 360 community more than PS3.
  21. (...does anyone even use a 56K anymore?) Anyway, proved to be popular on the old forums, yada yada, you know the drill. Show the forums your mug.
  22. Go finish it, one of the best storylines for a GTA game ever, albeit a little corny.
  23. If you're a Virgin customer, and I'm assuming you are, then you could actually ring through and I could try and sort you something out. All depends on what your line can handle. We are upgrading our cables in at least 75% of the country. Chances are you're in that 75% - can give you the number if you want? All you have to do is pretend you're leaving (we're retentions) and either myself or one of my team will get you a deal. Or try to. EDIT: And I know you were joking but I need to get my teams commission up, ha.
  24. I was addicted to TF2 at one point. Then Valve stopped caring about PS3 owners.
