  1. That's another thing I noticed, but I just assumed they conjured their shit to appear somewhere else.
  2. Why is it there's so much snow in this game but you never leave footprints in it? Most games with snow have a decal to show your tracks.
  3. Lol. I'm guessing fuck Ast. At least they didn't waste another 20 seconds inverting your sig I might just do that as I can't be arsed changing the text back. Pity I can't change my display name as it won't allow fancy text.
  4. I'm about level 29 now with most of my skill focus in the destruction, archery, sneaking and lockpicking categories. Probably about level 40-50 for each.
  5. Is the bird offering herself to you in that pose? 'cause i'd hit it.
  6. I just want to know who fucked with my stuff. <------ Look I'm looking at you somebody.
  7. It seems the more I try to finish my existing quests the more I pick up. I really should stop talking to people... just like in real life.
  8. I have an innate reaction now; whenever you pull a chain or lever, step back afterwards.
  9. All the draugr were there together when I did it, but not Olaf. It was like a 70's zombie b-movie.
  10. Did you... Go inside? Go in, and if you've been using a bow, kill the draugr lying around before they get up. If you haven't been using a bow, just take out whatever you've been using and hope for the best, then take the ruby claw from the altar, and the gate will open and you can head into the dungeon proper. That's the one with the hall of Draugr at the end isn't it? And you follow the ghost to Olaf One Eye.
  11. Anyway, back to Skyrim. I finally reached Solitude and joined the Empire. Now I think i'll have to finish more of my existing quests, my journal's getting messy. Level 23 and about 44 hours I think.
  12. I am the same, as you know it took me a lot of convincing to play Skyrim. There are a lot of "good" games I haven't played. Me 2, never played bioshock, infamous, fallout or even saints row. I tend to stick to the games i know are good. Let's see... Nope, nope, might get it now i've played Skyrim and nope. Add to that CoD, MGS, GoW, Battlefield and other generic FPS.

  14. Freeing up some (some read a lot after I deleted GT5) space on the PS3's harddrive seems to have smoothed things out for me, I still get the odd lag patch and an occasional freeze but 90% of the time now it's stable. Also why are there so many dragons? I was near Rannveig's Fast when a dragon appeared, which I killed. Then I went into Rannveig's Fast and cleared it, came back out... another fucking dragon appeared. I thought fuck this I can't be bothered since it takes too long, so I buggered off and left the dragon circling over the mountain top.
  15. So did I, not loads but I chose the stuff i'm not likely to play any more.
  16. Keep an eye on the size of your save file. I've just deleted my game data for GT5 to free up some space, game data not save data which takes up relatively little space and means if I do reinstall GT5 I can carry on where I left off. Lets see if it's made any discernable difference...
  17. I'd imagine that was the reason, obviously it's struggling to place all the random items and people and the map. I don't know if deleting save data from other games helps.
  18. Yup, just had the same thing myself. First time it happened a few days ago it went back to normal after 60 seconds or so, but now it isn't... looks like i'm fucked then. Obviously the patch didn't fix that.
  19. Woo! Look! Fuck yea, bet i'll have lost all those books though. And I was really going to read them all too, honest.
  20. Reading about all the bugs in this game, there are loads of them... The only annoying one i've had so far besides the lag is the bookshelves in Breezehome are broken. I filled them with books, a message came up saying I couldn't place any more but it allowed me to add more anyway (I was mashing the button to empty the books out of my inventory.) After that the bookshelf is empty and activating it does nothing. Oh look just after I posted this I went back to the PS3 and there was a notification telling me a new patch for the game has been found. 2.02... Hopefully it'll fix said errors.
  21. I had been alternating between 2 save files but because I thought the crackling static sound was my speakers I turned them off and because the TV volume was a lot lower I saved again without realising the sound was still there. So much for having a back up save, they're both fucked now. I'm going to leave the PS3 turned off while I go the shop and see if it magically fixes itself when I get back. I see you also have the PS3 version. Lucky you... Have you experienced any problems with serious framerate drops/freezing due to save file size yet? I think it kicks in when your save file goes over 5mb. I haven't been able to patch the game yet, and my sessions are being limited to around an hour at a time, as my save files are 12-13mb now. I've still managed to get to over 70 hours of gameplay, though. I'm over 5000KB and my game does lag a bit from time to time, i'm at about 35 hours now... but I do play for several hours at a time. Well, the PS3 is on for several hours... I play for a few, leave it, then go back to it, so the console is probably melting itself from within.
  22. I think I was going to join the Imperials. But could I say, join a magic guild too? From the save file.
  23. Can you join more than one guild? I joined the thieves guild and was wondering because i've still got to join the Imperials or Stormcloaks according to my quests. I've only been methodically clearing out dungeons around the south-east corner of the map, haven't even been further north than Whiterun yet. I'm nearly level 19 and have about 29 hours of play.
  24. Are you certain the weapon you're using is one handed? Obviously you can't use a two handed weapon with a shield.
  25. Most of the battles haven't been hard thus far, you just find a spot to get the enemy stuck so you can just shoot arrows and flame them to death. Even dragons aren't that hard as they just circle around perpetually while you take potshots at them, it's very tedious though. Killed three so far. The only hard battles I had to retreat from were the one I already mentioned with the two spriggan and the bear, and one with a master vampire and several other vampires in Haemar's Shame. I've been playing for 22 hours and i've already noticed a few small lag spikes where the map has to load itself. It freezes for a second and then some trees pop up, hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
