  1. Yes, I watched more Portuguese league than PL lol.

Markovic is a very good player, I think he will grow to be a scary forward in the center of the field, I prefer when he plays center, sort of player that is very creative and just chops down defenders.

Ilori is an extremely promising kid, smart player. really fast for his position (think he still holds our academy speed record - dethroning Ronaldo), he stepped up for us in Sporting, fans were disappointed to see him leave so early, that year we struggled really bad in the league but every time Ilori played (combined with Eric Dier), defense was solid.

  2. It was also hard as shit, so hopefully this time around - with my adult powers - I will be able to finish it.

Well, having seen you play Wolfenstein... fingers crossed, yeah?

lol. To be fair, I'm not super confident.

  3. Yes.

As a kid, it was one of those games in which the art+story really kept me interested. It was also hard as shit, so hopefully this time around - with my adult powers - I will be able to finish it.

    edit:

there was a similar game in those days called Heart of Darkness, hardest game I have ever played.

  4. Think I will joining this generation in the next week or two (birthday present to myself)... what would be the first game those who already have it would recommend from the limited range available now?

There is literally nothing decent out there yet.

  5. Because Sabella is a shit manager with very little tactical integrity, I love Argentinian players, but it's their individual qualities that are carrying the team, the manager is just a well paid dick that sits there and does nothing. Football should be 50/50 players and manager. Yesterday was yet another Sabella day, with Lavezzi having to carry the team forward and hoping Enzo was in one of his creative days. I'm surprised the Dutch didn't manage to exploit Rojo's side, and how they weren't able to tire Lavezzi by half time (seriously, the dude spent 130 minutes sprinting all over the field, nice fucking stamina bro).

I want the players to win, but I don't want the manager to have WORLD CUP CHAMPION in his wikipedia page, it's blasphemous.

  6. Just finished Child of God by Cormac McCarthy... he writes incredibly well... almost like reading a Coen Brothers movie... awesome story... Lester Ballard would fit right in around here...

Just about to start Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence... hopefully it captures the same feeling as his first series.

Fuck yeah, let me know how that goes, I'm still stuck on the massive Words of Radiance book, epic tale though.

  7. shorts:

James Rodriguez is just raping in this WC, best player so far in the tournament.

Belgium has imo, the most solid midfield in the WC.

Argentina is playing like Portugal in one aspect: a retard is coaching the team. Very little thinking goes into team play, both Ronaldo and Messi have 0 defensive responsibilities, which is stupid, this is modern football, players should know what to do in all moments of the game. Fortunately for Argentina, the Di Maria and Messi connection is working ok, and the individual quality of the team is just good (except for Rojo, the left back). Either way, I don't see Argentina making it very far if someone in the staff doesn't man up and take control of the team, right now it's just a bunch of friends playing together "you defend, I attack, let Messi do whatever he wants"-
