really?? i wasn't going for that this time, i was going for a stoic look... not our stoic, but a stoic like face... i think he looks more like king leonidas @ cortez - it must be the amount of map you've seen... it probably trumps mine... i've been working at leveling up, and wrapping stuff up... i haven't gone exploring for the sake of exploring... i am usually heading somewhere and get sidetracked... but yea, you've probably been to all the major cities...
-
wow, how is your file size bigger than mine?? perhaps you've been to more places than me... ---------------------------------- mjoll the loiness mjoll the nakeness ... i still can't get over the fact that i can completely change what she wears and uses... this is our normal walkin' about garb, we save the heavy armor for caves and shit... i just found that outfit she's wearing too... i remember someone in markarth had it, but i hadn't seen it since... then i got to kill someone in morthal that was wearing it... JACKPOT!! ... i am all wrapped up in a vampire conspiracy right now, i better buy an extra cure disease potion from the local wizard, i have a feeling i might need another... and there's a strange kid wandering around here, sounds like he's not really here or something... or his mom has him all hopped up on potions and shit that his brain is all out of whack... i think i need to see what his problem is...

just fought 2 dragons in the span of 5 minutes... i got a few more things to wrap up, then i am gonna hit up morthal... there's 3 cities up there, i should probably start venturing out that way... i have still only been to whiterun, markarth and riften for the major cities... i am getting lost just wandering the wasteland land... ohh, i also ran into a couple of vampires out and about yesterday... i contracted the disease, but it's also the very reason why i carry around a cure disease potion ... it told me i contracted the virus, so i am assuming that most of you that got it, got it perhaps in the heat of a battle and missed the message... i only had to dispatch two of them, easy stuff... i check my active spells often actually... i am always willing to head back to whiterun if i am nearby to refill my stamina blessing from kva... kava... kvava-snickerdoodle-thingymahjig... ohh, @miss cortez... i am level 25, closing in on 80 hours... file size 5.7MB... what was the breaking point of trouble for PS3 users??
-
damn, that sucks...
-
i know where you are coming from, a couple of my friends go on and on about MW3... i tend to ignore them though... but, different strokes for different folks... right?? ... i am sure someone else here plays BF3...
-
http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1215934p1.html i want zoidberg in my skyrim ...
-
i don't think you're going to find many fans of both BF3 and MW3 here... no one really talks about any of them at all... the gamers on this board tend to like actual games, not money-milking franchises with nothing new to offer... i played the first modern warfare, so i have played them all... there's lots of mature gamers here, none of us really play mindless shooters anymore...
-
dude, it takes almost an hour per location, some take multiple hours... you probably should of went into a few of those back then... you'll be going at those locations for a couple of weeks... me, i have to get back to riften now that i've done a shitload of crafting and enchanting... gotta pick up my queen and work through some caves and locations nearby riten that i was tasked with clearing out... i think i might try to navigate one of those dragon locations, there's one south of riften... i've heard of them, and the icon on the map is unmistakable... perhaps i should see what really is in there... a new shout?? a bigger, badder dragon?? nothing?? also, i think i might try to find this black star stone or something... the soul gem that never destroys... i could save that one for trapping a dragon soul... speaking of dragon, i have no clue how many dragons i have slayed... not 20 yet since i haven't gotten that trophy yet, but i gotta be damn near 20 by now... it seems like i run into one every time i fast-travel to cave or ruin...
-
no, i notice a significant drop in the frame rate when in the presence of burning pots... and it was enough to freeze my game once so far in whiterun... when i fast-travel to whiterun, it takes a couple seconds to load all the flames and people standing near the gate... i seriously think the flames are the issue, and i will continue to say so until bethesda actually comes out and says it isn't... from as far back as fallout 3, when i've notice a severe drop in frame rate, i look around and there always seems to be a flame barrel or something near by... maybe it's just a coincidence... but it also has to do with later in the game that this happens... i think with the file size issue, and throwing the flames on top of that, make for a lethal combination...
-
my game froze up in whiterun last night... seriously, i know what the fucking problem is... and it's been like this since fallout!! TOO MANY FLAMES!! there's a pot of burning wood every 10 feet in whiterun... when i had these issues in fallout, it was usually because there was a few burning barrels near each other, or it's in the strip when you are near the gomorrah... there is something wrong with their flame files... elaborate on that for me dupzor, will you?? ... i am sure it also has to do with too much on the screen at once, and too much to load in the world with each travel... but these flames act like 100 new items all in one... then times that by 50 in whiterun and voila, there's your problem..

yup, i think i can just get by with putting perks into the 1st initial enchanting perk, maybe 2 or 3 of them to improve the enchantments effectiveness... it's also why i have yet to really do any enchanting outside of the waterbreating since when i try it, i get piss-poor percentages on effectiveness... using bigger gem stones helps, but i got a shitton of petty ones so i have been using those on the waterbreathing rings... i need to find a few more dwemer ruins, as most of the robot machines you fight usually have soul gems on them, and usually filled as well... or maybe that was a freak accident with the only one i entered and got lucky... but i left that ruin with about 25 filled soul gems, most of them being petty... but i do have a few filled grand ones, saving those for my good enchantments ... that reminds me, i need to head back to that ruin so i can snatch up all that dwarven metal i left behind... that shit was heavy, but i could melt it down for improving my smithing... dwarven armor i would imagine help boost the skill a little faster than making iron war axes do ...
-
it's not taking a shit because of me, i just didn't want to double-post... but yea, i made a ring of underwater breathing too called the "ring of air"... i really need to improve my enchanting, i have learned a couple of spells and i have about 20 blank silver rings... i've spent some time enchanting the water-breathing on lots of silver rings just to improve my skill... then sell them to a vendor to improve my speech skills... i need to sink some perks into enchanting though, but i am also close to unlocking the next smithing perk for heavy armor so i might take that one next... it's either for ebony armor or the one just before it... the best heavy armor i can make right now is dwarven... the items come out flawless though when improving them ... i was gonna say something else but forget... it will come to me eventually...

i love my wife... maybe i should marry her IRL, like that wacko asian dude did with with his DS girlfriend... http://www.weirdasia...ual-girlfriend/ mjoll kicks ass!! i cleared a cave without me hardly ever lifting a finger... mjoll is an amazonian warrior!! ... with her dwarven armor and weapons, she is unstoppable... wait until i learn some new armor perks, i might be able to sit back and watch her take out a blood dragon all by herself... there might be another dragonborn in da midst!! san an fanz reprezent!!

the richer colors make it a little darker... i've already had to turn the brightness up on this game... i can't game in dark environments... i like that the greens and blues and reds stand out more, but how does that apply in a cave?? it would make it almost pitch black... the blue might be too much... maybe if i could brighten it up even more i'd like it... it does take care of the drab gray and brown you see in most games these days...

i was thinking of going back to the main quest again... i am getting ready to push into the north, now would be a good time to do a couple more main quests before i venture off into the wilderness again... also, put the word spoiler inbetween brackets... then to end the spoiler, do the same except put a / before the word spoiler... does that help?? lol... ----------------- well, i married mjoll... i don't know if this is true with all followers, but i equipped her with better armor before i sent her home... we raided a cave together for our honeymoon and afterwards i sent her home so i could do some stuff in whiterun... i come back to riften after a day or so and she's opened her shop (just a dialog option, no actual shop unfortunately)... what she's selling is her old armor!! so i buy it, then recruit her, take my armor back, and there she is standing there in her underwear!! ... now when i give her armor though, it registers as carried weight... but i hardly ever use my followers as pack mules in skyrim... plus, i was gonna have her wear the dwarven armor anyways, but now i can dress her up however i want, or not dress her at all ... i wonder if it's possible to do that with any spouse that you can recruit for adventures?? they all open up stores... give them better armor, fire them, then check out their store...
-
i thought raven rock had a good explosion?? maybe it was more like the sound of a bunker imploding... the final quest before broken steel has a lot of big explosions when liberty prime makes that march to the memorial... he makes a good explosion as well in the first mission on broken steel too ... did you fire the experimental MIRV?? that guy makes a big explosion too, i recommend you try it if you haven't already... nothing will top the megaton indecent though, what evil character CAN'T push the button?? it's one of the coolest fallout moments ever...
-
i've been playing almost non-stop since christmas and i haven't even touched the main quest yet... i was prepared for the time sacrifice i was about to take on, i would advise you to do the same... although, you whipped right through fallout 3's main story in 8 hours so perhaps you could beat this in maybe 25 hours... however, there's hundreds of extra hours of exploring out there, that's what i've been occupying my time with... play new vegas before you play skyrim, but do make time for skyrim ... it's probably bigger than both fallout's combined... EDIT: now i know why i stuggled a little bit in spots of "treva's watch"... i had my "ring of air" still equipped instead of the major knight ring... no wonder my health stayed lower than i wanted it to while fighting the bandits... lol, gotta remember what you're wearing at all times ...

fucking beautiful man... *wipes a tear away* i'll ask a flute player to sing the song of massacre next time i am in a bar... ------------- i've recruited the help of mjoll the lioness after retrieving her weapon in a rather lengthy drarven ruin... man were those dwarf folk ahead of their time?? their architecture sorta resembles the industrial age... but their empire seems to be largely extinct... lots of ruins, but no dwarfs running around either... i got to use my newly minted ring as well, i found a few underwater rooms in the ruins with loot... mjoll is a worthy companion out there... i really don't think she can die as i had a rough go through "treva's watch" where she dropped down to a knee in almost rapid succession and never fell despite the battle surrounding her... i think i found a flawless follower, and i've got some good equipment i can give her... she sounds like my character's right kind of spouse as well, they seem to have a lot in common ... adventurous, fighting for a good cause, and with brute force...

yea, most of the map consists of caves, so it's not a stretch to think that most of your journey will consist of cave-diving... i've hit up caves i pass on my way to something, the unknown is far more exhilarating than going to cave that you've already been told what it consists of... i am surprised i haven't found 100 locations yet, my map is littered with little icons all over the plains... not so much in the mountains yet ...

"...you are a courier..." a line from the opening of fallout: new vegas... skyrim should of told me i was a courier too, it would make more sense... as much as i am enjoying this game, the cave exploring is starting to get boring... i am constantly tasked with clearing out a cave of bandits, or spiders, or forsworn, or etc... and everyone is too busy to deliver something themselves... my god, how did this world function before the gods dropped me on this plot of land called skyrim?! all joking aside, i am still gonna continue to explore... but the lag is starting to kick in when walking around whiterun... i am at level 20, 60 hours in, and the file size is at a respectable 5MB... i've put 60 hours into it in just one week... i worked harder on skyrim than i did my own job ...
-
i take back my earlier claim for coolest cave in skyrim... i was just teleported to the misty grove, that's the coolest looking cave in skyrim, it even has a table full of dinner guests to hang out with ... actually, that was a pretty cool quest all the way around, it's just a shame that it was delayed for so long due to the conflict in markarth i had to take care of first... those mages in the moryunskar stronghold were no joke either, probably the toughest battle in the game yet for me... they would be no match if they were in small clusters, but i ended up fighting about 5 or so of them at once... they kept using this spell that would slow my movement, giving them an easier chance to get away from my swinging instruments of death... tough adversaries... -------------------- created my first enchanted item, i bought some underwater breathing helmet for a grand to learn it's enchantment... then i created a much much lighter substitute instead ... wonder what i will find out there in the blue someday... also, after clearing a mine of spiders, i got hit on by this person; http://elderscrolls....om/wiki/Filnjar *pukes in the forge* i guess when you wear the amulet of mara, you get all kinds of offers... kinda makes me wanna create a gay elf for my next character just so i can further add to the stereotype of elves being gay...

we shall see ... @HBW - hey, i want that HOO HAA ringtone too!! i've been using the zelda "secret found" tone for text messages, which i still love... but some good old fashioned macho shouts would be a nice change up... EDIT: i want to kill the guy that works for belafor in the general goods store... i know he works there because it's the same fucking bastard that stood behind me while i chopped wood earlier in my journey, and proceeded to tell me that every 3 seconds... when i run into him on the streets and he tells me that, i want to take out my axe and chop his fucking head off!! SHUT IT!!!
-
no noticeable lags yet... there's been hiccups, but nothing major yet... when i woke up in that temple after a night of drinking, i ended up getting wrapped up into the local quest line, which took a few hours to wrap up... i thought the prison portion would be more epic but it was actually pretty empty for a tamriel-wide prison... the reward at the end was worth the time though, that ring is quite handy... journeyed through the coolest looking cave thus far... it's the evergreen cave or something, the one that has the tree sapling for the temple in whiterun... basically it's a cave with trees and a waterfall... fucking cool looking ... i got a couple more things to deal with over there by the cave, but i am near windhelm as well, and i might have to take a trip to that place at some point today... i got another day of nothing to do but play skyrim... i am not hungover like i was yesterday too, so i might not fall asleep on the couch this time ...
-
the potential size of the map and all the research and planning is what i figured would take the longest to do... the engine is in place, along with the coding... i figured actually laying out and designing the city would take years to do, but i also know i shouldn't question the knowledge of a design major ...

wow, talk about a story to tell... i got drunk with a guy in the bannered mare in whiterun and woke up in a temple in markarth ... i was looking to travel to a new town anyways, i guess this one will have to suffice ... cool waterfall though... EDIT: by the way, i really love some of the background tunes you hear every now and then... there's this gloomy piano number that i absolutely love... and when you near a new dragon shout, the heart-pumping "HOO HAA" creates one of those epic moment feelings and adds to the whole experience of a new shout ...
