  1. did you actually get it finally?... if you're available, give it a shot... if you get booted off, you get booted off...

  3. like i said when i dusted off the PS2 to finally play the hitman trilogy i had for years, san andreas popped out of the tray and i damn near played that instead ... i am gonna give grove street families another run at some point this year...
  4. yea, that final chapter was pretty fucking epic... the game had built up to that last chapter so well that i think i was getting teary-eyed as max ran past security knowing full well he was about to end this shit, or die trying... it's one of the coolest moments in gaming when that chapter began for me... amazon is running a special where you get RDR free if you buy max payne 3... if i didn't already own RDR i would of jumped on that deal...
  5. haha, yea he did ... finally made it though, and now he's proudly sitting in the corner of my niko bellic picture hanging on the wall... and i've already put the R* north sticker on my laptop... i am gonna put the little R* sticker onthe front of my scooter once it's decked out...
  6. package arrived with the 8-ball sticker today... check out my collection!! <{ i just farted!! }
  7. yea but giant goblins would be kinda cool... image those thrashing towards you fast as shit...
  8. ehh, they look no bigger than a giant... and with the animations of a falmer, they'll be crouched down... hopefully they spawn in falmer caves because it would be hilarious watching them get stuck in every doorway and low ceiling... sorry, i am drunk and didn't realize you said they were the same size as a falmer, i thought they just stole their animation... well those are lame then... PC gaming continues to distance itself from my world...
  9. yea, ducking in and out of the map menu was quite the chore, i am actually glad that i don't have to do that anymore... it takes you out of the game when your stuck staring a map to study an enemies path... it's nice to watch it unfold in front of you... i think it's actually smart to be using it, it shows you the interest points and enemies in plain sight, instead of having to pause the game to look at a map in real time... now i know what i am looking for, instead of wondering what i am looking for... EDIT: no doubt about it though, i am pretty sure it's still gonna be a trial and error kind of game... despite knowing enemy paths in real time, they're not gonna act like a robot anymore... it's more dynamic, they're going to look for you if you've already been exposed... whereas, the previous games forget that your there if you kill all the enemies in the area... i would imagine that in absolution, they're going to know something is up... they've talked a lot about the dynamics of the AI with absolution... none of the previous games offered this much adaptability with the enemies... they flank, they walk randomly at times, they know their surroundings... if they know something isn't right, they investigate or call for backup...
  10. beat hitman: silent assassin... fun stuff, but i clearly don't remember the second half of the missions... i must of not played all the way through it, and i am pretty sure i didn't play all the way through the last two either... so i guess i only beat hitman: codename 47 on the PC... i kinda forgot that you can play this as a shooter too, you just have limited health so you wanna make sure your kills and stealth blend well together on a lot of missions, like hiding bodies if it's a single kill... i tried to play the entire game without killing in the open... but what happens often, even after playing a level over and over, is you can't always get the same exact results every retry so you have to be willing to adapt on the fly if you want to finish the mission... it's vintage hitman tactics to be honest ... it makes you that much better at the rest of the game when you're able to slip in and out of disguise and line of sight... looking forward to playing "contracts", then "blood money" at some point to get me all caught up... i know i didn't get far in either game so it should feel very fresh to me... it'll give me a game to play when i can't decide on something... but in the meantime, i'll keep looking for new info on absolution... here's some patrick brown art, when doesn't this guy do something awesome?!
  11. i like how he says he will buy any R* game regardless, but is sick of no new info... yea, like that'll get you what your looking for... it amazes me how impatient people have become in this high-speed world we live in... no one stops to smell the roses anymore...
  12. ^^ huh?? ... @duff - meh, i was thinking there was an alternate realm laid over the existing world, in select locations of course... oh well, still looking forward to it, just not as much as i was about a month ago...
  13. @duff - are the new areas in dawnguard huge?? and is it also taking place in the original skyrim map too or is it all it's own location? <{ vote for me!! }
  14. i lost 500 hours of my life to this game already this year... and now they tease me with an add-on that will add another 50 hours after beating it both ways...
  15. done any tripping yet? <{ vote for me!! }
  16. ...never mind that, i just reached the 10th mission and once i got past the steep learning curve, i am still dying a lot ... but i am getting better at handling the situation, and i am not afraid to get my hands full of blood if i have to... i've learned that in "silent assassin", if no one is sorta near, you pick people off that are in your way... it ruins the challenge a bit but, you are after all a cold-blooded killer... sometimes you gotta do what you were born to do... i get frustrated a lot but that's what happens when you die a lot, or fail an objective, or alert the guards at the absolute worst time... like i said a ways back in this thread, it's a trial and error kind of game... you won't know how to fully exploit the level until you've died a few times exploring it ... i elect this be called the "hitman" topic... i might be playing thru the trilogy and wouldn't mind blathering on about it... ohh, and i think this video needs to be watched, it's the creators talking you through a mission previously demoed... and it really explains the dynamics of the game, all 15 minutes of it ...
  17. still need to improve it though... it does take ages to reach 100, but it's needed if you want the best armor and weapons... also, don't forget to occasionally enchant some of those daggers when you get any soul gems... not only can you improve enchanting this way, but you can also improve your speech skill by selling the enchanted swords and armor too... smithing/enchanting/selling, rinse and repeat... it's a way to level those 3 skills, as well as help build your bank roll...
  18. if you guys are playing as nord warriors, i suggest working on your smithing skills right away... don't forget to break down the pelts you've collected from animals, and start creating leather armors at a forge... and if you've found some iron ore or ingots, make iron armor and weapons... the smithing tree is really important for the warrior class, and it doesn't hurt to carry a pickaxe with you on your journey to collect those ores... most of your important skills will level as you explore caves and the wilderness, but smithing must be done back at camp...
  19. i was playing some "hitman: silent assassin" yesterday... wow, i kinda forgot how unforgiving this game is... despite knowing how to beat the first real mission a few different ways, i could only make it work one way... and the next mission was really easy, yet i kept failing it anyways... i might play some more today, but i don't think i will make it all the way through it, i might move on to the next one in the trilogy box, "contracts" i do believe...
  20. @marcus - same... after i lost my first fallout 3 file, after about 100 hours, i learned real quick that games like this require a dummy save for backup... <{ vote for me!! }
  21. any remember "the machinist"? talk about a dark film..
  22. bale is a pretty damn good actor, i like a few of his movies... anyone see the fighter?? how about rescue dawn?? and i do like me some anne hathaway ... joseph gordon-leavitt, gary oldman, tom hardy, etc... to me, it's once again a great cast as usual... katie holmes is the only slip-up but other than that, this has been a real good series... heath ledger was amazing, but what kinda gets lost in that whole debacle is how well aaron eckhart played harvey/two-face... i am kinda upset that he was killed in the 2nd film because i want to see more of his character... me and my friends have already reserved space in the IMAX theater on that friday, can't wait ... i think bain will be given his due this time, and i really think there might be another surprise or two sprinkled in there since this is his last film... i kinda got this feeling that hugo strange might pop up at some point, but that's just my opinion...
  23. @massacre, not in the fallout topic?? @stoic, i heard that game sucked...
  24. fuck it then... perhaps the following monday, july 9th??
