  1. naaa, it's been at least 5-10 years since they last did that...
  2. there's only one thing that would make me watch it again... skills competition... they used to do that... i wanna see who can throw the deepest pass or run the fastest... who can kick the most 50+ field goals, who can run an obstacle course, or catch the most passes... like i said, they used to do that stuff... every sports has some kind of skills challenge, what the fuck happened to the NFL's version??
  3. i ordered a refurbished 47" LG 1080p, 120hz LED backlit HDTV for $450... i couldn't pass up that deal... damn you deal sites, why you so good sometimes?!? anyways, i read the reviews for that particular model and they were all very very positive... the only thing is people say it's not true 120hz, it's some kind of upscale thing... but it's not like i'll really notice anyways... when you go from a 32" 720p to this TV, you will be blown away no matter what the specs are... now i just have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive... that's also the downside to deal sites ...
  4. And that's bullshit. Anybody good enough to play in the nfl deserves to win a Super Bowl... ...except murderers and Mark Sanchez didn't big ben win in his second year?? kaepernick is in his second year... yea, he's not had as many starts, but he's the reason why they're playing in the super bowl in the first place... NFL PRO BOWL IS TODAY!! OMG I CAN'T WAIT!!
  5. speeding through the aqueducts... can't wait to mess around down there again... EDIT: does the logo on the helmet mouthpiece mean anything??
  6. i thought you only started over because of the end... and i disagree on the story part, it was actually engaging and fun for me... brotherhood and revelations were kinda boring to me, never went anywhere, whereas this one took you through history... i did like that and i really liked the ending... and desmond's story was developed quite well i think throughout the series, and really played strong in III... connor wasn't a strong lead until the 3rd act, so it was hard to connect with him until the end... combat was OK, but the open world was not the right idea it seems... the cities were too spaced out, streets were too wide, and there was too much nothing in between locations... tree running was fun the first dozen times you did it, but became boring and a chore later in the game... getting from location to location meant either fast-travel or riding a horse... if you did neither, have fun getting lost in the woods somewhere... design was kind of an issue, but my biggest problem was mission scripting... too many times i failed missions because of janky-assed controls where connor would grab window ledges while i was trying to chase someone, or jump in the opposite direction off a building or tree... and the non existent help indicators to tell me what i even had to do in the first place sucked balls... i stood around in some missions wondering if the game failed to load the next sequence, only to learn i had to wait in a specific spot for a few seconds... complete garbage... thank god for the amazingly great naval combat sequences... it saved this from being a lost cause...
  7. Agreed. *plays Skyrim also* Connor who? *plays Skyrim* Good things come in threes. my friend borrowed this game a month ago and i completely forgot about it... who cares about this game anymore... it's just like all the other AC games, once you beat it, you never need to play it again...
  8. ehh, i dunno... i might be too pre-occupied with other games, but it's on my radar...
  9. franchise mode sounds like it's been beefed up...
  10. as i said to the others, don't expect instant results... i'll let you know when there's openings... i have no time table to give you so, hang in there...
  11. it was the dropping of random players on a more consistent level IMO... with GTAIV, it was more consistent with those that had trouble often, in RDR it was like playing roulette...
  12. the GTAIV matches won't be every week i don't think... we're kinda back into it right now, but we always seem to get burned out on them... other nights are possible too... i mean, i get home by 6 on other nights too, and it wouldn't be out of my realm to sneak in a quick match if i could, as long as others do and i didn't have immediate plans right away... the only problem with RDR was the incredibly glitchy multiplayer... you think it's bad with GTAIV, it's twice as bad with RDR...
  13. i did alright a couple months ago when i jumped in and did some co-op... a couple of times me and some random worked together, and a few other times people were trying to ambush me while i played it... i got them more than they got me... so, it seems like i still got it ... i'd give it a shot, it's still one of the best games this gen period... i even wrote some guides for ireddead ...
  14. because MMO's have to sacrifice graphics for stability... at least that's the trend i've noticed when i see MMO screenshots... i obviously pass on this as i am sure it doesn't run on my laptop ... plus, world of warcraft and every MMO never appealed to me... pirates of the burning sea was the only one i tried to play... got invited to the beta with my old desktop, and despite sending them my specs, they chose me when i couldn't run the game... it's now a FTP, but i have yet to try it out with my much better laptop... love the elder scrolls lore too, and i too started with skyrim... oblivion was the first game i played, but the only thing i remember were the gates, the daedra, and the races... almost joined the brotherhood before the game out-leveled me ... but i learned a lot playing all the hundreds of hours in skyrim...

    Saints Row

i heard that game wasn't all that good either (mundane, glitchy)... i am sure saints row 4 has been in development for a while now, so at least we can expect that to go as planned, with maybe a delay because of minor additions or changes... but for the most part, i think it's already got it's blueprint, whatever that may be...

    PS4

*skips the specs because he doesn't give a shit about that stuff* *sees the controller stuff* *skips over some random system specs blurb* *controller rumors again* wow, if that were true about the controllers, that'd be the ultimate selling point for me... no longer will me and my friends have to be in separate places to play online... that's the mother fucking shit right there!!
  17. the concept sounds cool, but i've never worn contacts, and i would probably cry trying to put it in just to play video games... second, what if i looked to the side just to gaze at the crap lying around since fallout has trained me to look at EVERYTHING lying about... would the camera and movement suddenly go over there even though i didn't want to actually head that way?? and third, pass ... call me old fashioned, but i don't think these cheap gimmicks are needed to sell a system... i want GAMES to play, not confusing technology to "enhance" the immersion... the games themselves are pretty immersive already... i must be getting old since i seem to reject new tech every now and then ...
  18. i take it you were hiding under the bleachers? ...
  19. did you catch the name drop in that video?? a runner advanced to third on the called strike, but "BJ upton" stayed at first ...
  20. drafted right out of high school #1... same as hamilton... and he's still young too despite wasting years on a drug binge not playing baseball... i like him, he'll be missed because he's a great locker room guy too... always laughing and keeping guys loose... he's had a few rage moments in his career though, like the assault in new york a while back, and this minor league indecent; in his defense, that wasn't a strike ...
  21. who, delmon?? there's nothing wrong with him i don't think, outside that NY indecent, which probably was a reason for not resigning...
  22. huh?! *checks news* 750K? really?? illitch couldn't throw an extra 250K on top of that? either way, there wasn't a spot for him with victor martinez coming back... i can see the logic though of not signing him, there's no reason to have 2 DH's on your team... it eats up a valuable bench position... plus delmon only started doing good for us near the very end of the year and into the playoffs... victor has a much more consistent track record... i'll miss him but it is what it is...
  23. for those of you wanting in, PM me your social club tags... i'll see what i can do ...
