  1. Since my PS3 died, I started a new game on the PC version. Graphics are way better than the console. Nearly looks like a different game! My PC was an epic gaming machine about 2 years ago and it can still run it on High settings, but I turned a few things down like shadows and some of the draw distance because it was lagging at certain points.

So far I've killed the first dragon and just got Lydia as my housecarl again. But I've literally been going around pickpocketing EVERYTHING that EVERYONE has. Quick save before, steal... Get caught? Quick load (2 seconds) and try again till it works. My Pickpocket skill is already 66 or something and I'm literally only about 2 hours into the game. Level 9 or 10 already because of that, my Iron Dagger smithing and some lockpicking. Unfortunately my speech isn't high enough yet to Persuade that guy in Riften to boost my speech, but I'll get there.

Also did the opposite thing with that guy in Riverwood this time and told the girl about the letter, so he's my friend now and I can get free Archery training from him :D

Really need to raise my speech though to get the perks so I can sell stolen items. I've got so much jewellery I need to get rid of.

  2. I found a random item for purchase from one of the shop keepers which was basically a chest called "Do Not Delete" o_O. Bought it for 200 gold but it doesn't do anything.

Then my PS3 died. I had 74,000 gold thanks to some awesome tricks I've tracked down online. Such as raising pickpocketing to the point you can place potions and poisons, creating paralysis potions and planting it on someone then pickpocketing them as they are getting up from the poison for 100% success rate. Stole back 10k which I spent on the pickpocketing trainer :D

Just ordered a new PS3 though so I'll be able to continue by the end of the week, but until then I'll be playing on the PC version.

  3. I'm level 35 now I think (Y) Had to turn the difficulty down a bit because I'm sick of dying and needing to replay certain bits. More fun when it's a bit of a challenge, but I can kill more than 1 person without dying. I think you get more XP on harder difficulty levels though?

  4. Yep, go back a few pages. I had it. You're on stage 3 vampirism or something. Stage 4 means EVERYONE tries to kill you. Make sure you keep feeding on people to stop yourself going that far. Easiest place is the temple in Whiterun. Just feed on the injured soldiers inside. Might get 25 bounty but it's worth it.

But yeah, need to go to Morthal and speak to some bloke who needs you to fill a black soul gem, then he does a ritual on you.

  5. Few tricks with Lydia/other companions I've come across

    Hold All My Shit, Bitch!

If you drop your items on the ground, then speak to Lydia and say you need her to do something, then click on the item, she'll pick it up. This doesn't count towards her weight limit, so you can make her carry an unlimited amount of stuff.

    You're Never Leaving My Sight!

Find a quest where you need to find an item and return it to the person. When you find it, ask Lydia to pick it up. Because it's in her inventory, the blip for the quest objective will always be above her head and she'll even show up on the map. Then just don't bother completing the quest until you have to :).

Can't take credit for those finds, but I have tested them and they both work.

  6. That's where the speech perks come in useful. I can donate 500 gold to the shopkeeper, then from that point on they always have 500 more gold to barter with (every 48 hours). Plus I have the perk which gives them all 1000 extra gold, so pretty much every shop keeper has nearly 2k gold which I can get from them.

As for Alchemy, I followed some website to help me making potions. Got a few which are worth like 370 gold and the ingredients aren't that rare so I could just collect them and make loads of the same potion for $$$.

  7. I went ahead and grinded through the speech exploit yesterday. Was already on 44 or something so it took about 30 mins to get to 100. Pretty awesome though. Unlocked pretty much all the perks in Speech apart from "double your intimidation" or something cos I don't seem to need it. Pretty awesome how I can do crimes in Whiterun then just tell the guard "I don't have time for this, do you?" and they can't be bothered to arrest me.

Also got the perk which allows me to sell stolen goods... So I just go in a shop at night, steal everything that's not tied down, then come back and sell it back to them the next day. Hah.

Oh yeah and I bought two pieces of jewellery which give me a total of 40% pickpocketing increase, so nearly everything has a 90% success rate. Been stealing arrows, lockpicks and small amounts of gold from all the guards in Whiterun.

Didn't actually do many quests yesterday, just messed about making cash. I was up to 21k at one point but bought the house in Whiterun. Shouldn't take too long to make some extra cash now though. Oh and my long lost Lydia was inside the house when I bought it, so I got about 5k worth of weapons back which I can sell or disenchant :)

  8. There's apparently an exploit/glitch to boost your speech as far as you want. Some briar or something in a town beginning with R... You can constantly ask him what he does and he doesn't give much away, so you can "persuade" him to tell you more and he does. Do it over and over and it'll keep raising your speech. Apparently it's not a great thing to do though because as you level up the enemies get harder to kill but you're not increasing anything that helps you in the same way. Meh. I'm gonna do it so I can sell stuff for more cash.

  9. I've been doing a lot of rimming over the weekend and I'm level 22 now. Been building up my restoration and archery skills quite a bit. I need to find a bow with soul trap built in because it's a pain in the arse needing to cast a spell on something before I kill it to fill up my soul gems.

  10. Figured out I need to feed on someone to reset my vampire level. They all hate me because I'm a level 4 vampire or something. If I feed I'll go back to 1 and be able to start the quest to cure myself. But it's a right pain trying to feed on someone when as soon as someone sees me, they wanna kill me. Been trying for nearly 2 hours to feed on one sleeping person!!!!?1?!?!/1

Hooray! I'm finally cured. Never getting that disease again >_<.

  11. Basically means nothing regenerates during the day, which is a mighty pain in the arse. Other than that, and the fact you can "feed" on sleeping people, I don't think it gives you much. There's a magic spell you can cast to make you invisible at night or something but nothint special.

  12. Argh. I'm trying to do the quest in Morthal to remove my stupid vampire curse or whatever it is I have, but every time I go near the town, everyone attacks me! Any help guys? >_<. Fucking doing my head in now. Just went on a killing and robbing spree seeing as they're gonna attack me either way.
