Jizzy 633 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 My uncle brought home a 42" LED Sony TV. Its like 2 years old, and the picture looks like a cinamax Soft porno or something. I can't really explain it, it looks like a soap opera. He doesn't see it, but it's driving me crazy. I Can't watch anything on it. Read somewhere that it was motion enhancement, I turned all that off, but it only looks slightly better. Help?
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 the soap opera look is what new TV's strive for, it adds a sense of realism IMO...
Jizzy 633 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 It doesn't look like a film, and whenever the camera moves I cringe.

DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 Can't you adjust the picture settings? Blur reduction, refresh rate, sharpness, contrast etc? Movies and stuff are filmed normally at 24/25 fps, but newish screens refresh normally at 120mhz. Turning the smoothing down or off will reduce the refresh rate and make it look less like floating/home made footage.
Jizzy 633 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 No remote and I don't have the patience to fuck around with the buttons on the tv without a walkthrough of what I want to do.
