There were minor things in each game. They mentioned San Andreas on the radio in Vice City, there was the pager message in GTA III where Ray mentioned Miami, and there was a flyer for Pirates in Men's Pants (Treasure Island) laying around somewhere in GTA III. It just happened that no one picked up on it until after the games came out.
They mentioned Vice City pretty often in IV, that combined with the hints from the last trilogy supports the theory that they'll do the LC/VC/SA thing again.
And the picture under the Liberty City poster has already been confirmed as the poster for the Viagra parody in the game.

Yeah, QD, I would have gladly traded multiplayer in for more single player content. Multiplayer wasn't even fun for me. I never did any deathmatches, but I couldn't do any other mode without some cunt trying to turn it into a deathmatch.

Saints Row 2 has taunts and compliments, but I'm guessing R* wouldn't want to hear the never-ending stream of shit about how they stole the idea from Saints Row. I doubt they would have put taunts in the game in the first place. It would be a good idea for multiplayer, at least.

That part of the game really did suck. I think the turf wars are the only thing Saints Row did better than San Andreas.

Anyway, there won't be a special edition for L.A. Noire. Can't remember the source of that info but it's official, so if anyone's holding out before pre-ordering in the hope that it will be available, it won't. Might as well pre-order one of these to save yourself buying the DLC in future:

And I'm not pre-ordering at all. I've finally decided that I'm just not excited enough about this game to buy it on release day. I'll be waiting on a substantial price drop before I buy it.

One of my more recent kills was an elderly Italian tailor. Before I killed him, he begged me to allow his legacy to live on, and so I learned all he could teach me of his life's work. I keep his preserved head on a plaque mounted over the antique sewing machine I found in the apartment he had above his shop.

I actually made it to the Tesla-Beaton Prototype before I died, but I didn't have any ammo for it. Forgot it takes Electron Charge Packs. Probably wouldn't have done much anyway, I've never bothered with putting points in energy weapons.
And it would have been a real bitch to fight my way through Vault 34 at that level. Definitely would've had to steer clear of the Overseer.

Yeah, it's easy. That's why I'm putting so many restrictions on that file. I only use the weapons I listed, despite the vast amount of Rad-X and Radaway I'm finding, I never drink irradiated water, and while there's a large herd of bighorners near the safehouse I downloaded, I won't kill them. Rather, I find myself frequently protecting them from the Centaurs that wander out of their nearby spawn point.
I'm not even touching the main quests, I got up to the point where I need to go to Boulder City and just gave up on the main story to do all the side quests and find all the locations. A word of advice: Don't go to the crashed vertibird at level 8. Ouch...
