I'm really excited, and I'm glad it didn't take until November to ship.
-
My phone shipped today, should be here November 18.

Found this interesting. They defined chronic use as at least 4x a week for 10 years or more. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/what-smoking-marijuana-does-to-the-brain/

We aren't arguing at all. We're giving suggestions with personal experience and opinion. Phones are different in functionality, build quality, and how they hold their value.

I never knew people used their consoles to actually listen to music tbh. But, like I said, in the US anyway contract phones cost $400 at most, and a year or two down the line only lose $50-$100 in value from that price, and the cheaper models can be sold for the same or more. So in fairness when you get an iPhone for $199 or $299 and keep it for a few years, it isn't overpriced.

Saying Apple products are incompatible with non-Apple products is false. In fact, I find it very easy to sync my iPhone and iPad with my windows PC. iTunes runs flawlessly on my PC, and it has everything needed to back up my devices. I can watch iTunes movies or TV Shows that I rent/buy right from my computer if I wanted, or listen to music. I can even transfer files into iTunes with ease, then sync them onto my phone (music, video files you may want, etc.). Also, Apple has introduced Home Sharing, iCloud, and Air Play. Home Sharing lets you transfer files between up to five computers in your household with your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc. as long as it has iTunes. iCloud stores files such as music you buy (you can actually use iCloud to listen to songs on your device if you want without downloading them). You can now also access many types of files thanks to the huge selection of Apps available. Don't like Apple's Mail app? Download Gmail directly instead. Want to use Chrome instead of Safari as a browser on your phone? No problem. Microsoft also just released Word, Excel, and Power Point for free on the App Store, and you can use things like Drop Box to store files too. Apple devices can also read PDF. Since iPhones are popular too you can use iMessage between your friends. When you text someone with an iPhone it automatically sends as iMessage instead of a text, so you don't get charged if you don't have unlimited texting. Apple also has some of the best customer service in my opinion. If something is wrong with a device and they can't fix it after two or three times, they'll actually give you a brand new device of the newest model for free. One of my friends had a MacBook that just couldn't be fixed and they gave him the next year's model. I'd say it is definitely worth the money. You can get an iPhone 5 for pretty cheap, but I'd recommend getting at least the 5s now. If you could spend the money and get a 6. Many are saying the 6 Plus battery lasts them nearly 12 hours before they may need to plug it in. Mine is still back ordered

That was the main building for the preserve. We hiked down the red and yellow, the entire green, then the other part of the red and yellow to make a full loop.
-
I don't think the preserve would have been too happy Here's the raccoon I saw though
-
We have the red bellied woodpecker here and I've only seen one once. I don't see woodpeckers too often, but now that I've started to go hiking more I've seen some animals I rarely ever seen, saw a raccoon the other day and I've only seen a raccoon one other time which years ago during the day as it was digging through someone's trash. I'd say the most common birds here are house finches, blue jays, crows, Canadian geese, and cardinals. Lots of ducks and swans on the water.

Why I prefer Apple: Consistent updates not only on their hardware, but their software. Bug fixes happen very quickly. Hardware and software are built to work flawlessly together, as they're made by the same company. People can say that iOS is limited, but with iOS 8 we're now seeing a lot of extensions, such as keyboards, notification widgets, etc. The only thing I needed to use jailbreaking for was to get adblock for YouTube and Safari and one where I can play YouTube in the background, so I could exit the app or lock my phone and still have music play (if the song wasn't on Spotify). iPhones hold their value too. You can sell a year old phone for over $400, and most people don't spend nearly that much with contract upgrade prices. I sold a 4s for $280 after three years, and spent $299 on the phone. In the end though, it comes down to personal choice.

It always sucks when you look back and think you might have gotten the perfect shot lol Slideshow sounds awesome, I've only gotten two pictures of birds myself. One is a downy woodpecker and the other was a pair of wild turkey we saw the other day.

Not at all, slight brightness and contrast edit, but the sizing is different.

Will have to go back and redo the original sometime, but thanks man.

Ah ok, I ordered the 21st. Seems we're in a similar boat.

mines is coming around the same time... black six plus.... 64gb Galaxy 5s and note are really annoying... the touch screen and proximity sensors always fuck up.... I heard black was the most popular, with silver then gold following. Some people who pre-ordered from AT&T are still waiting while someone who ordered theirs the 23rd of October has theirs already shipped. Seems people who ordered with Apple averaged 2-3 weeks.

Did you get the 6? I heard it bends in people's pockets but other than that it sounds good. I actually had about five cheap phones in the space of two years or something and really at £100 each ish it made more sense to invest in a more expensive phone with a better processor and better apps. I really like my iPhone 5s, does everything I need it to and I got it cheap. It's actually pre owned from Game and cost like 30% less than retail and it doesn't have a single mark on it. Some people I know have has Galaxy phones including my sister and they seem to last just over a year with no issues and then the screen starts being unresponsive but that was the s2 so they might have fixed that. I got the 6 Plus, 64GB Silver. I'm skeptical toward how common the bending is. They sold over 20 million phones before launching in China and maybe 100 (only 9 were reported to Apple last I heard, but more appeared on the internet. Even if the number is bigger, a few thousand out of millions still doesn't compare) or so were bent, and most of it was deliberate after all. Not saying it isn't possible, just saying it may be somewhat over publicized. Plus, a proper case will stop this from happening. People can say what they want but Apple really does make quality products, and they hold their value. QD mentioned it before, you can buy a phone on contract, sell it after a year or two, and have money from that sale to buy the new model on contract with some left over. Three out of the four lines on our plan were eligible for an upgrade so mine didn't cost extra anyway. https://www.goballis...x/#.VFv3ufnF98E That's the case I bought; it comes with a removable belt clip and screen protector. I had one for my 4s a few years back and it protected that thing like you wouldn't believe. After three years I sold my 4s for $280 after ebay takes their cut. Edit: I think my back order is partly due to the fact that Apple could have addressed this issue without telling the public, because huge batches just shipped to stores days ago and most of the bent phones were on release models.
-
My phone is still on back order but I'll post my opinions when I receive it, should be here by the end of this month. I went ahead and bought a case already and it is definitely a big step up in terms of sizing. Also going to be able to sell my old phone so the new one only cost $99, if I sell my case I should be able to knock that down another $20-$30. Not a bad selling price for a cracked phone.

Running wires isn't too expensive, or hard. Ask around local body shops and stores like Best Buy, get your lowest price and negotiate with all the places again, and keep going till you get your final price. Best Buy prices are fixed though. Example, Best Buy charges $65 for the install I had, Speedway charged $80 and they're independent.
