  1. it would be so fucking fun doing lines of coke while running from cops lol

cant run and do lines at the same time.......not that I have tried

I agree in full I mean for fucks sake you can do drugs in saints row! Also what about when you drink a soda and throw the empty can on the ground in gta4 or the bottle in saints row THATS LITTERING!! In my opinion thats worse than rape, murder, animal cruelty and incest...........combined

  2. When GTA4 was at the stage in its' development that GTA5 is at right now (where it's mostly completed, it's been announced, and they are building hype and excitement for a release that will probably be in Fall of next year), they told us the theme of the game was NOT going to be "rags-to-riches" as all of the GTA3-era games were. I think they were intentionally going for something dark, depressing, and more serious than.... fun. Which was interesting at the time, I guess, but I do believe we are going more back to our roots in GTA5.

In a nutshell, this is what I am trying to say:

    GTA4's theme: "NOT a rags-to-riches story"

    By contrast, however...

GTA5's theme: "Will focus on the pursuit of the Almighty Dollar"

I think the game will be great based on this statement. Whereas, in GTA4, you're supposed to remain sort of poor throughout the entire game -- I think GTA5 will be more about money-making, perhaps (hopefully) buying businesses as well as a number of other types of things.

I hope businesses have their own missions tied to them, as well as a secondary function, and actually generate revenue.

For example: You buy a car dealership. Perhaps there are missions in the game where you have to go steal another dealership's gifted employees, or maybe blow up a competitor's dealership, whatever the case may be. Once the missions are completed however, you can earn a steady stream of extra revenue by stealing cars and bringing them here, perhaps modding them. I think they could take it as deep as they wanted to, IF they focused their energies on it and less on just making the playground look pretty.

Beyond the business aspect of things, I hope they provide a lot of clothing and other ways to accessorize your character. I hope the clothing comes with the option of having logos/or not. Perhaps you can even choose the logo's yourself? You can also choose your own colors, everything else.

I want to see the return of Ammu-Nation, with gun range/shooting challenge, and everything.

Bottom line is, I just hope that when they say it's going to be about the pursuit of the Almighty Dollar, that they mean it. I hope they give us LOTS of ways to make the money, LOTS of things to spend it on, LOTS of unique businesses to buy (with their own missions and side challenges, this creates so much replay value). I want a GTA game where you literally build a crime empire. I hope they take the game as deep as possible focusing on actual gameplay/things to do, with lots of rewards and stuff along the way that make it WORTH IT. That's what made GTA so great to begin with!

I want more clothes, more tattoos, ways to customize your character. I want the ability to purchase bigger car garages (forget parking on the street) IF I want to, so I can store all of the cool, unique cars that I find or build in the game.

With clothes customization, I think they should have a lot of different clothing "shapes" (like different styles of shirts, pants, shoes, etc) and then after you pick your shape, THEN you can pick your color, the logos (if you want them), and everything else. This way, when you are buying clothes, you're actually creating clothes, and you can save all of your creations in the closets at your safehouses. This will give flexibility to the clothing system, and people who may be unhappy with the choices are given the ability to create their own from the ground up and then save THEIR clothing.

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that GTA5 sees the return of buying businesses/property/etc and "Empire Building", AND customization in the game.

Yeah, where was Ammu-Nation in IV? Why wasn't it included?

Anyway, I agree with your idea of making money, there should be lots of ways to do it and lots to spend it on. In GTA IV there was nothing to spend your money on...

due to liberty city having a ban on firearms within the city, this is commented on during one or two missions, much like new york does (I believe)

  3. Gonna go for the cheap shot here

    larg·er, larg·est

    1.
Of greater than average size, extent, quantity, or amount; big.
    2.
Of greater than average scope, breadth, or capacity; comprehensive.
    3.
    Important; significant

    am·bi·tious

    adj.
    1.
Full of, characterized by, or motivated by ambition.
    2.
    Greatly desirous; eager
    3.
Requiring or showing much effort; challenging

Seriously I dont think they mean in terms of scale of the map I just think they mean its going to push the boundaries of the tech and what you can do within the world

  4. I would like to see a lot more random acts by peds like in gta III annoying as it was getting car jacked by that guy in the blue camo trousers or random shoot outs, police chasing people other than me as in high speed car chase not just "whats this stolen credit cards ?" and the police car rolls up and the ped jumps in the back (only to attack you should you then steal the police car) a-la gta IV. I also want to see the street performers that you would expect to see in places like beach board walks, the fairgrounds to actually function like in bully, interactive wildlife like RDR also safe house customisation. but mainly I want to be able to buy a pair of ingame speedos.........they just make for sensible beach wear imo.

  5. at 0:10 between the lamp post and the green shirt jogger building way up in the hills

    0:30 house has an interior

0:34 pier toward what would be the east (if pier located same place as ps2) has roller coaster

0:36 blue car being followed by red car could be the blue and red car seen later in trailer

1:00 I think I see the vents on the side for the vertical lift so the hydra it is, also building to right of screen looks like you can see thru the glass possible interior?

1:01 on the hands of the person on the bike, you asked for the R* delivered FINGERLESS GLOVES!!

1:02 again the hills in the distance a building and also this shot gives good perspective of the size of the greater city area

1:09 I know a lot of people doubt that will be a second city but I have to ask myself "where is the jet coming from?"

  6. tommy vercetti's mansion in vice city with the garage on the opposite side?

What does this one remind you of?

    LANcardriveway.jpg

I'm starting to get a little worried about the hype surrounding this game now that I've seen this screen, as mentioned the crash looks very non-realistic the driver looks almost glued in place and the front fender on the drivers side almost stops dead in a straight line, no broken shards of glass from the windows, piss poor engine detail and has anyone else noticed the weird shadow effect going on in the flat bed?

Also something else this makes me wonder is assuming this is one of the cases we have to investigate and this screen shows the actual event then I'm wondering if upon completion of a case do we get a "flash back" of the event itself, a la C.S.I?

The screen showing the dead woman with her throat cut something about the nose and ears just doesn't seem right also I notice a very pronounced outline around the whole body.

That said ill still be putting in my pre-order based on concept alone I'm also looking forward to seeing the city. It still looks like, based on concept alone, this title will be worth the money as far as my wages are concerned. I guess we'll just have to see what we'll see.

    LANtrainWreck.jpg

That's a surprisingly non-realistic crash with the door placement.

  7. I have always been of the opinion that the only thing saints row and GTA share is that they are both 3rd person open world games. GTA mix it up with the main protagonists background it just so happens that in S.A he was a "gangsta" same genre 2 opposite directions. I quite like saints row it is what it is, but what it isn't and will never be is GTA. Saints row, for me was a interim game between S.A and 4.

  8. I really do hope its nothing I dont know how "thrilled" I would be to find out the next game is gta le frog. In my opinion the franchise needs to stay in the GTA-USA I mean lets face it we all remember how much of a nightmare driving was in the getaway and the roads in paris are not too much removed from the roads in london. And I dont know how much fun a R3 game would be where you stand around all day selling shitty little souvenirs of the Eiffel tower to tourists while trying to evade deportation

  9. So Im calling it x marks the spot, i have seen alot of posts relating to the next stop poster you know the one that says liberty city is over next stop and has the ripped corner that looks like france? I would also just like to state for the record that i DO NOT want the next game set in france and i DONT know why it would be however i noticed this the other day its probs nothing but coincidence and bares no relevance on the next instalment but ill put it out there all the same. When leaving francis international airport via the broker-dukes expressway just before you hit the actual expressway you will notice a billboard for the americantravelguide.net it shows a picture of europe with a large white plane that looks like a "X" (you can also see the same image by entering the web addy in the ingame internet) this x is over france its porbs nothing, but with the torn corner of the next stop poster looking a heck of a lot like the top part of france it just makes me feel like it may be more than just a coincidence. If it is a hint to the next destination in the gta universe i for one will be gutted, not because i have found it out but because i just dont see france as a good destination. Any thoughts?
