  1. I'm not too bothered about the actual size of the map, as long as their is no wasted space. San Andreas may have been a bigger map, but there were a lot of areas that seemed to be there for the sake of it. GTA IV had a more compact feel to it because they used every inch of the map for something relevant.

depends on how you define relevant.

if you look at it from a gameplay perspective, you could also settle down and call most parts liberty city wasted space. you could condense the locations of the gameplay to an island about the size of brooker, with a little space in between to give the illusion of actually moving between them.

to deliver a certain feeling to the player, both gta 4 and san andreas did their job very well. liberty really gives you the feeling of an nyc-ish metropolis with vast urban areas, while san andreas delivered the feeling of travelling through a state, especially thanks to the "wasted space" - I'd rather call it landscape, as this adds so much to the illusion of a whole state.

of course, again, condense it to the gameplay-relevant areas and you can cope with a fraction of the area used.

I was referring to the open blank grey space in between and behind most buildings.

I want to be a Homeless guy in GTA 5 just sleep in a dirty corner how about that?

Unfortunately that's unlikely, but it definitely would be different.

I like how series this reply is.... lol

Yh lol. oops, oh well....I'd actually love to be a bum on a dirty corner in GTA, that's pretty much how I played Niko

  3. I'm sure I read somewhere that buses in GTA IV were part of the usable public transport system, but was dropped before the game was released. And that originally the Limo's could be used like taxis as part of Higgins Limo's.

And I remember failing one of Roman's early missions and he and Niko were dropped off by a bus, at the bus stop outside the Taxi rank after failing.

(I think I tipped his taxi over while chasing the Russians).

I like the idea of being able to catch a bus, but more so I like the idea of high jacking a bus full of passengers.

  4. GTA V saves your cars no matter what, but whatever condition you leave them in (except for destroyed) is what it saves as (so you have to spend money to fix them).

    Good idea?

I like that Idea, it was unrealistic parking a smashed up car outside your house, only to find it in mint condition again later.

But on the other had it was a good way to get it fixed quickly, without driving all the way to the pay and spray, only to damage it on the way home again.

  5. i have an idea about the general story line of the game. i think that the 3 people you see in the trailer are all related. the older man being the farther. in the trailer he does say he moved to los santos with his kids and wanted 'to get out that line of work'. so mabye they are a crime/mob family that has moved to los santos. Also they look alike(facial features and hair lines) when they are breaking into the shop. Plus i think it fits into the rockstar description that says 'Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar' what do you guys think?

“Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather, or the… ah, I don’t know that thing. That magic. You see it in the movies – I wanted to retire from what I was doing. You know – from that. That line of work. Be a good guy for once. A family man. so I bought a big house, came here, put my feet up. I thought I’d be a dad like all the other dads, and my kids would be like the kids on TV. And we’d play ball, and sit in the sun… but, well, you know how it is.”

No where in there does he say he has kids. He says he wants them, not has them.

  6. Vercetti is the main character. The trailer voice is Ray Liotta. His agency denied the rumors because they are under a do not release order from rockstar

if you know ray liotta its quite obvious the voice is his... i dont know why everyone thinks its otherwise

Tommy Vercetti was born in 1951, making him 60...you genuinely think that GTA V will have a old age pensioner as it's protagonist?

  7. If GTA 4 is anything to go by then we might have quite a wait,

    First Trailer 29th March 2007

Second trailer 28th June 2007(3 months after first trailer)

Third Trailer 28th November 2008 (8 months after first trailer)

Fourth Trailer 29th March 2008 (12 months after first trailer)

Released 29th April 2008 (1 year and 1 Month after first trailer)

So maybe the date in the GTA 5 trailer was right, most people were saying 24th May 2012, it might actually be 24th May 2013.

Even if they did release it on SUNDAY 24th of May 2013 that number on the kerb would still just be a coincidence.

Haha Didn't realise that was a Sunday, was just speculating, With the little info we have, it's all we can do.

  8. I would hate to have one at a time. Especially if the map is "big" or "large" or whatever it was. Imagine being in the far corner of the desert and having to drive all the way to the inner city to save your game - bad idea. I would prefer to be able to have all the safe houses at a time, or just selling the ones you don't need or want anymore, with one default one.

I do agree about being too far away from the Safe house and having to travel far to save the game....I would just like the option of having one at a time, or even all at a time, with the ability to sell unwanted ones. Just hoping there isn't a ridiculous amount of them.
