  1. "Fret not, radio stations featuring hilarious skits and massive hits – a staple of the series – are back too, confirmed later on when co-protagonist Michael takes to the freeway with

    blaring through the windows."

    Oh god no.

    C'mon.

I know people are into hardcore rap, death metal and all that on this forum, but there is always so much hate for pop music. I'll never understand it.

It may not be your cup of tea, but it doesn't mean its not someone else's.

I welcome all kinds of music. I didn't think I liked death metal until The Lost and Damned, now the stuff has grown on me. I don't listen to it regularly, but I've learned to appreciate it as a genre.

Dude, I like good pop music. I wouldn't be such a massive fan of Vice City's stations if I didn't. I just immensely dislike anything Black Eyed Peas-related. Bunch of hacks. That Fergie song was only popular because it samples Sheila E's "Glamorous Life". Which Prince wrote for her.

  2. Looked exactly like SR3 until they showed the superpowers. Dubstep gun? Fuck dat shit. The customizable weapons is cool, though.

I'm hoping Deep Silver are less business-minded than THQ, and actually include the majority of the game's content with the actual release, not as DLC, especially considering this game was supposed to be DLC itself. SR3 must hold some sort of record for the amount of DLC for a game. None of which was worth paying for.

  3. So, no Supersonics. Again. God, Stern is a shitcunt. I didn't realize until yesterday that he appointed Clay Bennett (owner of the Thunder), as an advisor on NBA team locations or whatever. What a scam. No wonder Seattle got screwed over again. At least Sacramento didn't lose their team.

The NBA needs a serious reconstruction. There are too many teams, teams in the wrong areas, and a lack of talent.

Skyrim has been a labor of love for us since we started designing it in 2006. We never imagined it would become the phenomenon it has. And that is because of you, the fans. It was all of you who made it a success. We can’t thank you enough for embracing the game, spreading the word, and making it your own.

For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet.

Even though we’re moving on, we’ll still have minor updates to Skyrim as needed. We’ve invested so much of ourselves into Skyrim and will never truly say goodbye to it.

We loved hearing your stories, your in-game triumphs, and your suggestions. One thing stuck out to us through those emails, letters, and postings. And that is – video games matter. They’re as important to you as they are to us. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s about your time. And you chose to spend it with our game.

Thank you again for all your support. We hope you stay engaged in the gaming community here and elsewhere. Keep spreading the word. Games are the world’s best entertainment because they can do what other forms cannot – fill you with the wonder of exploration and the pride of accomplishment. We look forward to sharing our next adventure with you.

    Until next time,

    Bethesda Game Studios

Wah? I thought they had at least one more add-on left in them. Oh well.

  5. This is new? I bought Vice City Stories from the PS Store almost half a year ago.

I'd be interested in a MC2 reboot if it had... WAIT! The old PS2 version did have an online function! Fuck, I may have to buy this.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure these are the PS2 versions of the 'Stories' games, which means they can be played on PS3. Previously, I think it was only the PSP versions for sale.

  6. coming out 23rd August 2013....

AWWWWWWWWWWW shit, dawg, we have a showdown on our hands. A bit of a strange move taking on GTA V head on, but I can afford both games, so I'm not bothered.

TBH, it looks identical to 3.

  7. ^ The game looks awesome on PC. I only played it on my lowly PS3. :(

I finished the story yesterday. The ending definitely left me wanting more from this series as soon as possible. Hopefully some quality single player DLC is released at some point.

  8. The fact that the PETA asshole's example of a gamer was a guy in his mother's basement freed me from any obligation to respect or acknowledge the opinion of anyone who works for PETA.

Not that I ever respected or acknowledged their opinions to begin with.

HBW, you're a metal motherfucker. Gather the others for brutal whaling. We sail at dawn.

Considering whaling was conducted in my town up until the 70's, I'm sure there's something laying around somewhere we can use for harpooning. I'll set sail for the US west coast tomorrow. I should be there in 6-8 months.

  9. An interesting read.

    THE SHIPS

    By Emily Gera

Edward Kenway might be taking the lead as Black Flag's assassin, but his ship is being described as the secondary character ofAssassin's Creed 4.

While Assassin's Creed 3 was the first in the franchise to initially introduce ship mechanics, Black Flag pushes ocean combat and exploration into the center of the series and turns it into an even more significant feature in this game. This vessel is Kenway's primary means of travel and his only means of survival against enemy galleons throughout this meditation on naval warfare.

Like its predecessor, Assassin's Creed 4 will allow players to customize and upgrade their ship with additional cannon and improved defenses to take on foes of increasing difficulty; however, ship customization becomes all the more important in Black Flag.

The open-world design of Assassin's Creed 4 offers players the chance to explore their way across the Caribbean without the traditional barriers of loading screens. Instead, Ubisoft has adopted a Metroid-like design philosophy that will make accessing certain areas extremely difficult without first beefing up Kenway's vessel with upgrades found using Black Flag's ship customization system in order to prepare it for the battles to come.

Open world design. Ships. Now I'm interested.

He also said the open-ended assassinations, which felt all but stripped from AC3, will return.

    Yes

Edward Kenway will have new abilities fit for the larger, more aquatic world. He will be the first hero that can swim deep underwater, customize his ship and hunt whales. There is no clearer evidence the Assassin's Creed series has ballooned in scope than the words "hunt whales."

    OH GOD YES

He says the game will include varied locales, including jungles, temples, fishing villages, plantations, Mayan ruins, the Coconut Islands, hidden coves, underwater shipwrecks, pirate-controlled ports, British colonial towns and of course beaches.
