    In an interview with Gamereactor, Saints Row IV’s design director Scott Phillips spoke briefly about what we can expect from the Saints Row series moving forward.

    When Volition created Saints Row: The Third, the designers had to spend resources on making a new engine. According to Phillips, because they’re re-using that tech (with improvements) for Saints Row IV, the team has more time to outshine its already bizarre scenarios.

    But how do you top being a super-powered president? Maybe you don’t.

    “We’re definitely considering Saints Row IV the end of that saga of this character and the Saints as they are,” Phillips said. “So if there’s any more future Saints Rows – which you know we always hope there will be, we hope there are fans for future games like that – they will probably continue in a different direction.”

    Woohoo! SR is need of a reboot. Story-wise, the series lost its way with SR3.

    I wonder if SR4 is going to have SR2-levels of clothing options, or if it's going to be the same old DLCapoolooza as SR3.

    I'm a West Coast Eagles fan and our captain of several years was taking drugs on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, wound up winning the Brownlow (Aussie Rules season MVP) and we played in two Grand Finals for one Premiership. I loved watching him play and yet I don't take drugs nor am I interested in them. I will play GTA5 and I will still not take drugs.

    I agree that our classifications don't appropriately resemble society, their education level or their access to paraphernalia about drugs, sex and violence as well as drugs, sex and violence themselves. When GTA5 comes out I WILL drive down the footpath running people in Vinewood. I WILL walk into gang territory and open fire. I WILL walk along the beach punching random people before defending myself from attack, with gunfire if I have to. I will not be doing these things in real life. I agree that many games are not for an under 18 audience and there should be measures in place to restrict the access to children but let the rest of us, who know the difference between life and fantasy, play the games we want to play as they were intended to be played.

    Dude, if I decide to import an overseas version of this game, I am so going to make my first play-through character look like Ben Cousins and take a shit ton of drugs in game.

    Then what are the Aussies complaining about? Go buy that shit from your local black market dealer, ya mooks.

    We just import any banned games from Asia or Europe. The government doesn't give a crap, as long as we don't buy more than 10 copies. I think it's the fact we always get modified versions of games that's insulting.

    I don't understand why our censorship board is so hardline on drugs. There are tons of super violent games on sale here, and they don't mind. But take a drug that give you special abilities, and it's "OMGBANTHATGAMEWONTSOMEBODYTHINKOFTHECHILDREN".

    ^ This. When I first heard 13, I was quite drunk, so I really enjoyed it. Hearing it while sober was a totally different experience. I stand by my opinion that it's a good album, but only because iommi and butler showed up. I actually find brad wilk's drumming more annoying than ozzy's vocals. So many good drummers out there, and they chose him.

    Oh yeah, in case you guys didn't know, Paul Bostaph is the replacement for Dave Lombardo in Slayer...

    Lebron played a great game. Such a shame he plays for such a cunt of a franchise. Hopefully he decides to bail on them sooner than later.

    Damn. Having discs fully installed on the hard drive was actually an interesting feature. Why can't they (and Sony) give the option of installing the game to the hard drive and not being able to swap/trade in while it's on there (would require one-off internet checks), and running from the disc, and being able to swap whenever. No, that would make too much sense. I can't wait to see what acrobatic backflipping display cirque du microsoft come up with next.

    Of course. I can't think of one positive thing that comes with a gold subscription. More visible ads? :D

    But enough of that.

    I'm interested to see how Gaikai streaming/youtube sharing is going to work in Australia. Unless you're extremely lucky to already have access to the NBN (can I live with you?) your upload speed will be somewhere in the range of poor to up shit creek,so unless there are going to be a bunch of Sony servers located in Australia, I think those features will be worthless. Same goes for rural parts of North America, I suppose.

    I've had plus for the last 6 months, and like Dup, I've already owned most of the free games they've given out. I'd rather have larger game discounts and free access to music unlimited (because it sucks and no one should have to pay for it.

    One area the ps4 will need to improve is apps. Useful ones.

    No, I don't work for Sony. I'm just trying to provide some facts.

    And if you can't see that PS Plus is great value for money, then you must be a fool...

    No one in their right mind would say Plus isn't good value, I just think there should be more perks for those who are really loyal to Sony (purchasing a shit ton of ps3 games like myself), because Plus loses its usefulness when you own the majority of free games they offer. Not that there's any point in people cancelling their subscriptions now, as they'll need them to play online with the PS4.

    Well from what Sony have said. Plus is the way of paying for online multiplayer for Ps4. So it's not like you pay a one off pass per game anymore. You're committed to a subscription just like Xbox Gold... I tried PS Plus, and i wasn't overly impressed with it on PS3. The free bits didn't make up for what i spent on it. And the free games were always games i had already spent good money on. I guess paying for Plus and getting multipayer free on all games would be a better deal, especially if "next gen" will be heavily focused on multiplayer games.

    PS Plus is great value for money, I've been using it for the past 2 years and have gotten tons of Free Games, early Betas, free Trials for all games ( 1 hour free game Demo with full access, too see how it plays before you buy it ), discounts for DLC's and games etc,etc. It's significantly better than an Xbox Live Gold Subscription.

    Really the only better Game service I can think of ( when it comes to value for money/ and convenience ) is probably Steam. And everyone hated that when it first came out...

    Off topic, I've been seriously considering getting a vita to play ps4 games on, but the prices of the memory cards are insane. Until they drop by at least half, I'm not getting one. If they had made it compatible with micro sd cards they would have blown the 3ds out of the water. It amazes me that people are sold on the ps4 so quickly when the vita's release has been such a shambles.

    Man, this has been an awesome series. I was devastated when Ray Allen hit that 3. Oh well, hopefully the Spurs can beat the and win game 7.

    Oh yeah, fuck those Miami "supporters" who left the game early. One of the best players ever playing for your team, and you walk out early during a Championship final? For shame...

    I'm really liking the new Black Sabbath album. Some great riffs, and Ozzy sounds mostly decent. God Is Dead is probably his weakest performance. I'd say it's Ozzy's best vocals since No More Tears, and the best Ozzy Black Sabbath album since Sabotage.

    I almost jizzed when Zeitgeist started. It's like Planet Caravan part 2. My favourite song on the album.

    Well, well, well. The Australian PS4 will cost $549. That is gay. We pay $150 more than the US when our dollar is dropping below parity. It will cost me $499 because I already pre-ordered. :luis:

    By comparison, the XB1 will cost $599 here, which is a only $100 more than the US.

    Damn money whores.

    I can see this topic becoming a ghost town

    The only positives I can remember are Titanfall, and Gold subscription covering everyone in your household. Microsoft are going to have to make some serious changes. If they don't backtrack on DRM and the price, they are screwed.

    Anyone find out anything more about online multiplayer being exclusive to Plus? They were kind of vague about it.
