Theme:
Keep your foot on it this week and make Colin McRae proud! Dress in your team's racing colours and wash the dust off your best rally vehicles. There will be no sitting still this week in point-to-point track racing!
Suggested vehicles to use:
Sultan RS, Kuruma, Omnis, Tropus Rallye, Warrener, Elegy, Brioso, Savestra, Comet Safari...among others. Liveries and rally accessories will help sell the look! Add other suggestions below.
For racing, stick to stock vehicles (that is, non-armoured and non-weaponized), but feel free to bring the souped-up ones to car lineups.
Note that certain off-road and drift-style vehicles will fit the theme for looks, but we're concentrating on rally racing rather than rock crawling. If you used it at the last Off-Road Crew Night, pick something else for variety!

I think I know what tonight is going to sound like...

Last week, I finished the third book in Neal Stephenson's The Baroque Cycle trilogy, which in order are as follows: Quicksilver, The Confusion, and The System of the World. Really amazing historical period (Isaac Newton/Liebniz/Royal Society! pirates! wars! plague! hangings!), and fascinating to see how the concept of banking was devised and introduced to society.
I will be honest and say the first half of the third book was a slog (I've literally been reading the trilogy for over a year, so by the time winter kicked in, I wasn't feeling it as much anymore), but the second half fortunately picked up and drew all the storylines and characters together into a wonderful end. He's a brilliant author, but reader beware: some of his books are page-turners, and some of them will require a dictionary close by.
For @Ginginho and any other Margaret Atwood fans: the CBC produced an excellent TV miniseries based on her novel Alias Grace in the fall of 2017, really well done and highly recommended. They should have it available on their website to watch, country-streaming-restrictions notwithstanding. I tore my house apart looking for my copy of the book because (naturally) I wanted to re-read it after seeing the TV show...couldn't find it anywhere, so I borrowed the e-book from the library. Started it on Friday, couldn't put it down, finished it Sunday morning. Finally, a story that flows through you effortlessly.
So yeah - fuck you, Neal - I can so finish a book.
I'm going to look for anything else of Stephenson's at the library that I haven't read yet, then time to sort through xmas gift books and a stack my co-worker lent me - will report back if any of those are worth reading!

First big nor'easter of the season, we're getting around 40 cm/16" of snow, hurricane-speed winds, some places it's mixing between snow, rain, ice pellets, freezing rain and back to snow. Many will lose power, some for days. That's when heating your house with a wood stove is an advantage.
We'll see how long it takes to dig out my shitty trough of a driveway in the morning. Bless thy snowblower.

This week, we're doing a new variation of the hat-mask glitch: dress your monkey, eagle, bear, pug, fox, cat, owl or hoo-ever as a daring aviator of the skies! Between hangars, facilities, the Avenger, the jetpack - and even a flying car - there are lots of new ways to get around Los Santos without ever touching the ground.
Pro-tip (just the tip):
The telescope method works to glitch a hat onto your animal mask. HOWEVER, it will only work with the newer pilot helmets, ones with goggles and upward on the menu list.
The annual Festive Surprise comes to Los Santos on Dec. 19 too, so dress your Altitude Animal warmly! As a countdown to the snow, there are daily free gifts in GTAOnline all weekend: Free clothing and weapon unlocks each day between Dec. 15-18.
Bonus activities:
Step 1: Treasure hunting for the golden Double-Action Revolver. Step 2: Headshot Challenge (50 kills, works on NPCs/cops)
Step 3: Win $250K in GTAO and unlock the pistol in Red Dead Redemption 2!

Has anyone else on the interwebz reported the same issue? All I can suggest (which you may have already done) is a full reboot of your console, i.e., selecting the Turn Off completely mode instead of Sleep, unplug and wait a full minute, then start it back up again. You might want to reach out to PSN on Twitter for support too.

Crew night falls on the day before Valentine's Day, a perfect excuse to strip down and run around in Underpants! In homage to one of our very first days in GTA Online, it's traditional to ^scooter around, too - but all vehicles welcome! Who knows - R* may release another new vehicle, if so, a lineup is sure to follow.
If you want a more covered-up clothing option, feel free to save a #throwback to 2014's Valentine's Day Massacre DLC outfits (sharp double-breasted suits & fedoras, flapper dresses & bobs, classic Albany Roosevelts or Rat Loaders, and the Gusenberg Sweeper).
