i am kind of hoping it's released for the PS+ people too... i would love to try a demo of this...

i think paralyzing poisons are the best ones... watch them pass out for a few seconds while i beat the shit out of him with my sword... now put that enchantment on a sword and you've got one of the best weapons in a fierce battle...
-
yea, i feel like it wouldn't take all that long to reach that level... i'm at 9 now i think, and barely scratched the surface of the world in front of me... but i do need to have a place so i can store some of this unique stuff i have... i was thinking about dropping it all in the firepit in belathor's shop in whiterun... seems like anything i dropped in there stayed all game... could be a good place to temporary store soem cool stuff...

@viceman, it the pale's house, hjalminch-something... you have to be level 22 to get some 'kill a giant' quest from the jarl... < { iphucked this post!! }
-
just found out i can't buy the house i want until level 22?? what kind of bullshit is that? at least that's what the wikia says... now i will be forced to by the breezehome for now until i can get up there in levels... that's dumb, of all the houses you can construct, that one has a little tiny side quest requirement to unlock the option... boo...

yea, harpooning was one of the big things that got my attention yesterday... plus the complete open world and the talk of over 50 locations... i'm sold, i really am... this sounds like the pirate game i have been wanting for years... they must be reading shit i post on the internet...

don't forget to upgrade your armor too at the workbench... all you need is an ore of the style of armor to use to upgrade... as far as the dragon goes, you've killed one already, all you have to do is run around so he can find a place to land... there's a good chance you're on a cliff of some sort, next to a mountain or something... that happens occasionally, but if you move around into a more open space he will land... maybe bring some arrows with you to help weaken him up a bit so long as you hide behind a rock or something after you shoot the arrow... are you a brute warrior, or a sneaky thief?? i just got done with the greybeards for my new character, gonna go slightly off the path on my way to the windcaller's place so i can swing into dawnstar and get a few quests going since i'll need to be a thane to buy property... i am going with the land north of the loreius farm... also, i have over 6,000 septims already... looting and selling is the quickest way... i only hit up maybe 4 bandit hideouts tops... two were outdoors, and the other two were mines... now i got plenty of money to buy some land...

meet alkair... yea, it's a play on words with altair ... but adding the k made it sound middle-easternish, and more like a redguard name... he's in riverwood doing some light crafting to make a few bucks before morning arrives... then it's off to whiterun to tell the imperial led town of the happenings in helgen... after using both fire and sword thru the first cave, i think i am gonna really enjoy playing this file... i have long range fire to weaken them up or kill them... then the sword for when they get in my face...

I thing AC2 is still the best but AC1 is second, the gameplay often was repetitive which brings it down a little for me. Also, Desmond looked the coolest in that one. He slowly started looking weirder as the series progressed. I'm sure this one will still have a modern day protagonist with the new objective being to stop Juno. But it wouldn't be too surprising if they decided to go with something like bOnEs said. they are going with what i said... did none of you read or watch the videos i posted from IGN?? "Another stumbling point of the AC franchise: the modern storyline. Though an afterthought in the minds of many, the Assassin’s Creed saga focuses a great deal on the contemporary conflict between Assassins and Templars. Until ACIII, that part of the storyline was told through Desmond Miles. With Desmond’s story concluded, Ubisoft was left searching for another way to continue the tale in 2013. It’s doing this by making you, the player, part of the narrative. Though details were purposefully left vague, you are a person hired by Templar-controlled Abstergo Entertainment to research a pivotal moment in Desmond’s ancestry. You’re told to look into Edward Kenway – and away you go. Ubisoft is attempting to find the delicate balance between the game’s Caribbean setting – where the bulk of the game takes place – and its modern counterpart, where a significant amount of lore is held. The team hopes that it can incentivize hardcore Assassin’s Creed fans to step outside the world of pirates and explore the Abstergo facility, by providing a variety of unnamed activities and information as a means of reward." i disagree with them about the modern day being disconnected and boring... but for those that liked it, i guess we're in the minority..

i hear that... completed dawnguard earlier today... dragonborn was a lot better, i found the daedric world of this add-on a little lackluster, plus the long long long distances between objectives was a crappy way by the developers to stretch out that part of the game... serana was a great strong character though, as well as isram... but the story wasn't all that interesting, nor were the locations... the coolest moment was approaching fort dawnguard for the first time... and the other when the bridge broke underneath me in another location, i didn't expect that... the crossbow wasn't all that good for my character at all... i could see it's advantages for low leveled characters, and the fact that i can now craft arrows is awesome... welp, gonna start my new file either tonight or tomorrow morning... time to be an imperial redguard, a mixture of sword and magic... a man who wants to run an army of his own someday...

i don't even think there will be any william parts, i think they might be doing away with the modern day storyline... we'll see, but desmond's story was all wrapped up, he saved the world, the moment all the games led up to... now i think they're gonna just let loose and explore history more... so i pre-ordered this because i couldn't pass up the chance to get my hands on a todd mcfarlane art piece... looks good ... and it's HUGE, 24x36... really goes well with all the other pirate stuff hanging up on my walls in my house... i really love pirates, this new game may have just made my day/month/year... IGN put up their videos... the developer one is a good one... http://www.ign.com/a...-creed-4-reveal recap-ish article... http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/03/04/the-dawn-of-assassins-creed-iv-black-flag

yes, he's british, but he's a pirate... it doesn't matter about nationality when it comes to that... probably later in his life though, he'll spend more time in europe but for now he's a pirate... apparently the animus is still active, only now it's YOU playing in the past... it's what i hear they did with the AC liberations on PS vita... when you start up the game, it says something like "welcome to abstergo entertainment"... you can now relive the past... but what the hell about the pieces of eden?? were they all collected in ACIII? i don't recall... my biggest disappointment was hearing the news that naval battles won't be in multiplayer... if there was one thing that could of possibly saved their piece of shit approach to online, it would of been PvP dog fights in the caribbean... now i am almost certain it will be more of the same sneak around and kill targets, which is boring...

^^HD version of the trailer... - open world/open mission style too - 60% land missions/40% sea missions - over 50 locations to discover and explore - 3 main cities: havana, nassau, and kingston - ship is named, 'Jack Dog' - crew, ship, and main character fully upgradable - harpooning - kenway is charismatic, aggressive, boastful, a little ruthless... grew up poor - recruited by the assassins, plays a tricky balance between helping the creed and being a pirate - 6 total weapons carried, 4 pistols and 2 swords, any combination can be used in combat - no modern day desmond stuff - no muliplayer naval battles that's about all i gathered from the IGN reveal... they played a video from one of the lead designers going over numerous things, i'll post a link when it's available... i think they also have an interview article coming out today...

one of the leads at ubisoft montreal tweeted, "leaker than the titanic" lol... yea, it always happens, but then again, with a team of probably over 300 working on the game, it doesn't surprise me... between that and gamestop employees, it's hard to keep things under wraps... it's amazing how R* manages to do it...
-
ok, there's 5 leaked screenshots out there right now... click the spoiler if you want to see them...
-
yea... true dat... it feels like connor was the end of the line with the events that unfolded in ACIII for desmond to me... but perhaps to secure the future on the assassins order, it's to tap back into the past to find the rest of the pieces of eden through desmond's pops... how many do they have? 3 or 4?? it's cool it's a pirates tale though, and not a colonial one... although, many famous pirates retired from the life to be politicians, so there's always the chance that kenway does the same...
-
to each their own is how that saying goes ... we all like things for a different reason... ahh fuck, i was too anxious to wait so i watched the leaked trailer... wowza, i didn't expect that... then again, i was blown away by the ACIII debut trailer... only time tell, but holy shit, this is something to look forward to... too bad GTAV will probably get in the way, or maybe this will get in the way of GTAV... hmm...

revelations story was great, mainly due to the same reasons me and massacre liked it... the desmond and altair parts... otherwise, gameplay-wise, ACII is still the best even though other games after it perfected it... it was the original WOW factor that makes it still memorable... i guess my order would be; ACII, revelations, ACIII, brotherhood, AC... brotherhood felt exactly the same as ACII... it was a way to stretch the story out one more game before giving the characters a proper send off... like most movie trilogies, the 2nd one sucks... yes i know there are exceptions, i wasn't talking about those...
-
i can wait, i am off on monday, i might watch IGN's lead up to the reveal for something to do... < { iphucked this post!! }
-
where was this confirmation massacre?? i haven't heard anything along those lines except speculation... kotaku seems to have insider information from the source itself, but they're refraining from leaking it for fear of losing those connections... @hussain - not a bad guess for the modern day protag... didn't think about that one... i thought maybe they'd tap into a new guy who had no idea of his past... but then we'd be re-training a new character to be an assassin... you're probably right on that one...
-
what is the little town west of whiterun? because that's the one i am talking about... < { iphucked this post!! }
-
@asdf - then why is there 'black flag' attached to this title? AC3 didn't have a tagline... perhaps they plan on using this protag in multiple games? < { iphucked this post!! }
-
@HBW - pirates typically carried multiple pistols in a fight because of how long it took to load them... i gotta say though, if the flag from this game is in a collector edition, i will buy it ... i too am concerned at how this will fit into the world of assassin's creed, just like the rest of you... but AC3 proved that they're evolving the series into it being more than just stealthy assassins... hell, in brotherhood i started to get that feeling... the order of assassin's wasn't much of a kept secret anymore... also, i don't know if anyone saw this, but supposedly the other side of that leaked poster a few days ago had this on the back of it, the map of AC4 ... while i agree that this should of been created as a seperate entity, and i also don't know why it's called IV when it's more like 3.25, but i've wanted a true pirate game and if this game can deliver on just a fraction of that lore, i will be forever grateful because i know this will open the door for others to test the waters in this particular genre... that thought alone is what has me excited about this game ...
-
he's admiring the iron sword with a frost enchantment... in the second one i was passing gas... ivarstead will be a toxic wasteland for a few days until a wind from markarth pushes it to whiterun...
-
if you have a house you should save the dragon bones... but early on, just sell them... i still carry a pickaxe wherever i go... just out of habit i guess, plus the dragonborn add-on had new veins to harvest... not sure if dawnguard does or not, but it's something i've always carried with me anyways...
