    Ballistic Weave -

If you know who Tinker Tom is, buy all his armored clothes. You can break them down and get quite a bit of that stuff. I have lots to play around with. He is restocked often enough.

Yep - I think he introduced me to the stuff...  those Jackpot missions (P.A.M.) were good fun...

@ shabbagaz - fucking awesome set up, dude...  I have built one pre-fab shack and chucked a bed and heaps of containers in it... I think I will look after that stuff once I finish up some more quests and have been able to get my charisma up so I can get that Leader perk...

  2. Ballistic Weave - fuck yes... Cait is now escorting me wearing the red dress that Magnolia wears but with 90 damage and energy resistance... she also wears a bowler hat, just so I can sing "you can leave the hat on..." to her before we fuck...  I am currently rocking deep pocketed polymer combat armour over army fatigues lined with MkII ballistic weave.  This gives me about 130 DR and a net carrying capacity of close to 200 units, without the strong back perk.

I just have enough ballistic fiber to upgrade one more item so I have to decide which item gives me the best skill add-ons...  I now have a scrounging mission - find all the ballistic fiber possible.  How many military installations are there in the Commonwealth?

I still use the Instigator. Fire and Ice as my main weapons, with a tactical powerful combat shotgun as back up...  that cryo critical hit has come in very handy in some boss/legendary battles...

Realised I had 3 skill points to place... got Aquaboy... feels like I broke the game...  but glad not to have to worry about water rads and breathing underwater...

Just been doing some stuff for the Railroad - I seem to have aligned myself with them and the Minutemen for now...  I might go and see what the BoS have for me to do...

And another noob question... did the computer terminals in FO3 and NV have the reset tries and get rid of a dud answer entries or are they just in FO4??

I must be the only one who's hardly done any quests (just a few side ones) and spent the majority of my time scavenging, wandering and building up my 'home' at Sanctuary

i've been doing mad amounts of side quests... and i still haven't been to the glowing sea lmao ...

Barely been doing side quests either... everytime I tell myself to do one, I get distracted by a building or area I haven't cleared yet and forget what I was doing...  in fact, I'm not really sure what I am doing half the time or how I have spent so much time playing with little, other than a huge stash of shit, to show for it...  at the moment, I am at the General Atomics Galleria... I was on the way to a settlement that was having ghoul problems...

I haven't even heard or seen half the places people are talking about on here...

  4. 50 hours in - completed 10 quests, 5 for the Minutemen...  I have 20 quests on the go...

I carry around my twin rifles, Fire and Ice.  Fire is a revolver rifle that does incendiary damage while Ice is a pipe rifle that does cryo damage and freezes your target on critical shots.  Both have been upgraded to my specs (level 2 Gun Nut).  I usually initiate combat with the Instigator, a 10mm pistol that does double damage if your target has full health.  Coupled with the sneak bonus damage, I'm getting a lot of one shot kills...

My companion at the moment is Cait... I want to fuck her so bad... red hair, freckled nose, Irish accent...  we're going to re-populate the Wasteland with ginger kids...  Piper seemed like a bitch so I didn't visit her after our initial contact...

  5. The game engine is showing it's age, I reckon...  needs a climb mechanic...  I would prefer the dialogue to be more like FO3 and NV...  the options in this one are a bit vague and I am sometimes not sure whether I have responded in the way I wanted to...

I like to use my companion as a decoy to draw the enemies out so I can pot them from a safe hiding spot... I didn't realise the brackets around the HIDDEN while in stealth mode indicated how close you were to being found until just now... this is very useful for a crap stealther like me...

  6. Don't forget to take the fusion cores out of your power armour when you leave it stashed somewhere - I found that out the hard way...  I hope the settlement attacks don't become annoying like GTA:SA's gang attacks...

I'm just doing enough to get the settlements up and running and then moving on... can't be bothered doing all the assigning jobs and building shit while the residents sit around and do fuck all... I still haven't been to Diamond City yet...

I love the legendary items I've found so far and it's cool that you can upgrade them...  I have had problems with 3rd person view so am basically playing in 1st person which isn't as bad as I thought it would be... 1st person combat is way easier...

I found the radio doesn't affect stealth but then I am so bad at it, it doesn't really matter...  Atom Bomb Baby is a great song to fight to...

  7. I don't know what to say...  I am still up in the top corner, slowly making my way south west...  been blown up by booby trapped mole rats...  got really stoned and decided to build up Sanctuary, scavenged the whole area then forgot why I was doing it... I've lost a leg from one of my suits of power armour and I can't find it... have a horrible feeling I might have scrapped it in error...

Now Sanctuary is up and running on the bare minimum, I might relocate to Red Rocket (hehe red rocket, red rocket) and set up a proper fortress...

I haven't advanced the main story very far and I keep finishing quests I didn't even know I started...  good times...

  8. I don't think there will ever be a working casino because of various gambling laws around the world... shark cards mean real money is involved which would probably bring those laws into play...  although you can't cash up your GTAO money so I am not sure if that is the reason...

If those laws aren't applicable, then a working casino would be the first thing R* would establish, IMO, because the suckers would blow all their cash and buy more shark cards...

  9. Got to make a big effort to get New Vegas complete this weekend... might have to miss out on some stuff...  haven't even met the Boomers yet...  going to push for the independent Vegas ending...

I have 3 days off work after release day... should just give me time to finalise my character...  although I might try and play through the first time without getting too serious....  making decisions in Fallout games are way more difficult than real life choices...

  10. I haven't decided who I am backing yet - I still have positive-neutral rep with all factions, apart from the Powder Gangers...  I don't like the NCR even though I seem to be getting most of my work from them but this Courier is good so will be going against Caesar at some point...

No DLC's so I don't have to worry about that.  I somehow pissed the Van Graffs off so I had to kill them all.

I am just about to talk to Swank about Benny - should I talk to House before I do that?

  11. Ginginho gets (Y) (Y) for living vicariously through crew nights, a gold star for posting Fanboy's pics! I can always count on him to like my pics on the SC first too, it's like he can see our shenanigans as they happen.

The editor has fucked that up because no-one posts pics at the time anymore - my lunch breaks on Wednesdays have become dull...

The next crew night I am available for is the day after Fallout 4 releases so I guess that one will be pretty quiet...

  12. Chuck's pics since I can't be there... excuse the weak commentary...

  13. Only 0.04% of the US population are diagnosed with colorectal cancer each year, which suggests there is a very slim chance of getting it to begin with, especially as the US is the king of processed foods...  scare mongering cunts...
