  1. It's looking better.

But here are some negative points i think could be changed:

    - Fonts. The banner, buttons, navigation hyper-links, and the main text all have different fonts by the look of it. Maybe you should think about having one unified font for the lot with an exception for the banner.

All fonts are now Verdana apart from the header logo.

    - Background image. The background image on either side of the main body look a bit out of place now, as the brick wall is quite busy looking. Maybe have the background a solid but desaturated colour so it doesn't fight with the brick tile for attention?

Changed the background to plain black. May use a grunge-style pattern ifI can find one which goes alongside the bricks.

    - Banner. I know you said you were thinking of changing it, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Yeah the banner is one of the most important aspects as it's the first thing most people look at when they load up your website. So definitely work out a nice looking banner which will instantly say "This is GTA".

I need someone to come up with a better banner. I'm sure we could make one based on some of the fake screens we have so far.

You most likely already know all this, but sometimes it's nice to hear it from someone else.

In addition, I added the Random Image section to the left navigation menu which makes the page more interesting on each load. Also added a Google+ button to the home page and to content pages so people can "+" the page as well as tweet is or like it.

  2. Hey guys, I've updated the site a bit. Tweaked some of the fonts/sizes, changed the background to the GTA4.TV background (may change it to something unique when I get a chance) and restyled the main page news a bit. What does everyone think?

I also added a "news date seperator" which will categorize news articles into the days they were posted.

Another development I'll work on soon is to make the news on the home page display a facebook style news feed. So if we update a page on a specific day, it'll show on the home page under that day's news. Similarly, if we upload an image on a specific day, that days images will show under the news feed. Therefore by visiting the home page every day, you'll see ALL new content and images for that day. Sound good?

  3. I've been messing around at my end (in other words it's not live on the site), but iGTA5 does look pretty nice with the brick wall pattern from GTA4.TV. I might need to find a different brick pattern or modify it slightly so it doesn't look too much like a copy, but with that, the content boxes on the main site sort of look like posters or sort of billboards on the wall. Could be expanded so the content boxes are styled like billboards or something.

I'm probably going to re-do the website header banner and the body background images anyway, so I think it'll definitely look better.

Anyone able to help out with any graphics?

  4. I'm going to start working on improving the (front end) website and I need some feedback from you guys on what you'd like to see.

I'm planning to put things like "Latest Forum Posts" and maybe a "Poll" on the homepage as well as tidying up the look and feel of the site a bit, but I'd appreciate you guys giving me as many ideas as possible on what you'd like me to include so I can make the site as good as possible.

You may want to look at my other sites such as:

    http://www.gta-sanandreas.com

    http://www.gta4.tv

    http://www.igrandtheftauto.com

    http://www.ireddead.com

    http://www.la-noire.tv

    or other gta5 fansites like:

    http://www.gtav.net

    http://www.gta5.tv

    http://gta5news.wordpress.com

for some ideas. I wont be including everything you mention but if there's anything that I think will benefit the site that I've missed, I'll look to get it included.

    Cheers.

  5. Yep. I'm off to Fuerteventura in Spain for 2 weeks with Crimson Butterfly so I won't be around much on here. Well I'm lying. Bought an iPad 2 SPECIFICALLY so I could sit by the pool and browse these forums.

I haven't been away on a proper holiday for about 5 or 6 years (not counting my free trips to NYC and LA with Rockstar, muahaha), so this one should be good to relax, especially considering I just finished my degree at uni.

Anyone else going on holiday this summer? If so where?

You better behave yourselves while I'm gone!

  6. While we can't yet answer all of your questions, the Rockstar Pass does give you all the downloadable content listed above for 50% off

So if you want it all then get that. If not, just pick and choose.

For anyone still struggling, I've now done:

    Assigned Cases

    Street Crimes

    Landmarks

    Newspapers

    Film Reels

Many of which have maps. I'll eventually do a map for the hidden vehicles, but not many of them have an actual fixed location which makes it sort of pointless :(

Just got 100% in the game too :D

  7. Yeah there's 50 of them in random places. I haven't found any yet but I presume they're just like hidden packages.

Can I ask a favour from anyone using social club who has completed all story cases (and preferably gathered all, or nearly all of the evidence)?

Any chance you can view the Case Tracker for every case and post links to the images for each of the clues, and each of the persons of interest? The same one's I'm using on http://www.la-noire.tv/the-red-lipstick-murder for example? I only need the images for the last Vice case and all of Arson.

Do it in spoiler tags if possible.

    Cheers.

  8. i would love to but i have to pass... i provided a few helpful guides for RDR but last year i had more free time... this year, i don't think i have the time to write a guide... sorry, and i just finished the street crimes last night too :(... i don't think i want to play them all again in the next week to write a guide...

but i would love to use your guides for the film reels, landmarks and vehicles... maybe by the time i wrap up 5-starring the cases you'll have these guides ready... sorry i can't help this time around...

No problem. Cheers for helping out with the RDR guides. As for the landmarks, just get on Rockstar Social Club. They have their own map on there showing all of the locations of hidden stuff, but it's practically cheating so I'm trying not to use it.

  9. Totally bored of these games now. Used to be Call of Duty's biggest fan when it came out originally on PC, but we get shafted time and again and I couldn't give a fuck if this game totally flunks. Of course it won't because there are too many sad virgin fanboys on the consoles who will jizz themselves every 3 months when a new CoD game is pushed out, and again when they pay £10 for a new map every few weeks.

Definitely won't be paying for this game.

  10. I'm currently working on a new mini-site for guides for LA Noire. I intend to write guides to cover everything required for 100% completion, including 5* Case walkthroughs (including all evidence and correct questions), street crimes and all collectables.

You can see the site at http://www.la-noire.tv. It's a work in progress, but the content is gradually being added. I could do with some help though if anyone would like to provide assistance.

Mainly I'm looking for people to write guides for the street crimes. Just give a basic overview of the crime (an introduction), and then a brief walkthrough of how to complete the case.

For example the first crime I remember doing was chasing some guy who was shooting from a rooftop. So you'd put something like:

    "Crime Name"

A man fires a weapon from a rooftop, then tries to escape on foot.

Climb the drainpipe to the roof, then chase the suspect down the next drainpipe and keep following him until he takes a hostage. Shoot him and don't hit the hostage.

Doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

Post any feedback on the site, or any help for guides here. You will of course be credited.

  11. I got it yesterday and so far I'm up to "the white shoe slaying" which is about 12/21 in terms of cases. Obviously you've read my impressions before but I'm really enjoying playing through it again.

I've done about 13/40 street crimes, found 35/92 vehicles and I'm rank 12 I think. Really fun but time consuming. Spending ages looking around for evidence. I've been using intuition points because once you get 5, you can't get any more, so ranking up is effectively pointless. Might as well use them to make space for new ones.

Some of the cases are pretty difficult to get right but I'm making a note of the answers I give to people and the evidence I've found so I might be able to make a "perfect completion" guide in a week or so.

Also seen a few glitches, like cars driving through walls, people walking through objects, a car flying into the air when it got nudged from behind... Quite a few bugs, but nothing major so far.
