I quite liked the way garages worked in Saints Row. Bur, GTA is more realistic than SR, so it may not seem right in some people's eyes.
So, if what people say about this geezer being rich, then have a huge mansion for lots of vehicles
-
So in past GTA's we had many types of intractable buildings. IV however, didn't have as many as lets say San Andreas.
Here are some ideas.
Hotels - Basically if you need a place to stay and get rest/ Help your health you can pay to stay at a hotel (Enterable Lobby, Hallways, Rooms, and elevators) There could also be different rated hotels and quality.
Hospitals - This is pretty obvious as to why it should be enterable. There should be doctors you can pay to replenish health like in IV with ambulances.
Convenience stores / Gas Stations - It would be nice to be able to go into these stores. It would just add to the realism of the city.
<------ Key Required
Mega-Marts/Chain Stores - You can buy basic supplies here like clothes and maybe stuff for your home (if you can decorate your home)
What would you like to see? Thanks to Dup for the idea.
I quite like to hotel ideas. Like in Red Dead Redemption, you could buy the place or rent it. If that could come into play as well...
This is obviously really, really stupid, but I would love to be able to sleep on the streets in GTA V for a bit.
I know, this should probably be on a different topic, but, if the story's based on search for The Almighty Dollar, say the shit hits the fan, your house gets taken off you, and you're a hobo, and you must build your way to the top...
Yes, very pointless, I know.

These are brilliant ideas...and very creative!
GTA V would definitely be the best game in the world if that happened!
Though, I just want to be able to drive them as well!
-
Rascal Camper FTW!
I assume this is for the shit really, really, really hits the fan and you gotta get outta there!

Everyone expects there to be safe houses in GTA V, what kind of safe house do you want to see?
There has been a good variety of safe houses in the past GTA games, including; red light district, back alley room, shack, ghetto cul de sac, up-market apartment, beach hotel room, condo, mansion, abandoned air field, ranch, petrol station/garage, and many more.
I was hoping for some new unique kinds of safe houses to GTA V, as well as some of the expected. Here is a list of safe houses I'd like to see:
Top floor penthouse (Mile high - kind of expected)
Vinewood hill-top mansion (overlooking the city - kind of expected too)
Wood lodge (beyond the mountain?)
Luxury yacht (perhaps a transportable safe house?)
Hobo shack hideout (after shit hits the fan?)
Personal Island mansion (perhaps an little island out to sea?)
Have any more unique ideas for safe houses to add to this? then please go ahead and post!
These safehouses ideas are amazing!! I quite like the idea of your island. I think having one like Tony Montana from Scarface would work really well.

I thought the customization in GTA San Andreas was class!
If the gave Saints Row style of customization it would be shit tbh, but plenty of clothes to wear and accessories. Haircuts, tattoos, ultimate car customization like Pimp My Ride, and your weight, sex appeal and shit like that.
San Andreas and Saints Row customization is practically the same, the only difference is that you can't change the character's face and body proportions in San Andreas.
I don't think you should be able to do that to the main character btw, I was only talking about multiplayer. I like how Rockstar make the GTA protagonist iconic and memorable. I like playing as a defined character, not something I quickly chucked together. But multiplayer is a different matter. You are playing as an avatar, you should be able to customize that avatar in as much detail as you possibly can, in my opinion.
Crews - We know that GTA V will have some multiplayer crew functionality. So crew logos will probably play some role in clothing, like Max Payne 3. I hope we could at the very least customize specific colours of threads if we only get a small selection to chose from. I also think that if the customization is limited, the most important thing that needs to be present is a face proportion editor, I hated choosing from only 10 preset faces in IV multiplayer, it was so unrewarding grinding to level 10, that I wasn't even interested in getting there.
Yeah, I see what you mean there. I should've mentioned how I didn't want to complete character to change lol.
And, yes. IV had a very poor selection of avatars in multiplayer. I spent ages working my way up the ranks (to level 2, that is) and saw a video on YouTube about the avatars, and just said fuck that.
Like you said, the main character needs to memorable e:g Claude and Tommy Vercetti were very memorable in my opinion
How about firearms customized to your crew? Guns with bling, guns with urban or forest camouflage, black guns, white guns, asian guns (teehee), and should you be in a hippie clique, tie dye guns.
Or is that just way too over the top?
Haha. I don't know about those type of guns, but maybe camos and attachments would work...

i would love to see everything from san andreas but then better because san andreas was the best game of them all
I agree, San Andreas set the bar for GTA! So Rockstar do have a long way to go.
Patrick Mackery and Niko are going to be in Gta5 because at the end of gta4 dlc patrick is boarding a flight to San Andreas and If you go to gta 4 Rockstar and go to very bottom and move the stuff around its say plane ticket for niko Bellic from Liberty city to San Andreas
Yeah, I noticed that. I'd love to see that, as I enjoyed doing Packie's missions and playing as Niko in GTA IV!
-
That sounds brilliant! I would enjoy a story like that! It'd be different from the past GTA games definitely!!!
-
Once I saw this on Rockstar Games. I SHIT!!! I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE IT!
GTA V is releasing this year. PERIOD!

In GTA IV, fighting the cops was to easy...
Back in the good old GTA days, there was army, huge roadblocks and those thingys that pop your tyres.
In GTA V, they to b ring all this back, along with new elements that will totally revive the game in my opinion. I don't know what to make of tear gas, but dogs, ramming doors, real hunting, etc. would make fighting cops a fun challenge.
It would be awesome if you could escape a 6 star wanted by maybe going out to the country, and hiding in the forests. Stealth kills would be a good factor.

They'll slow down on the Max Payne 3 news releases some time after the summer, lots of DLC to be released yet. That doesn't mean to say we won't see some GTA V news in between.
Yeah, I suppose, but R* have went through MP3 quicker than past games. It's kind of annoying, as the game will most likely die quick.
It's basically already dead on Xbox, I would have bought the DLC but their are still lots of bugs and since no one is really playing the game.
Yeah, definitely. I have it on Xbox, and the multiplayer lobbies are barely going anywhere and Large TDMs only have like 7 people in it and not 16.
I loved the game though.

I find it that some people are being so whiny about GTA V, that Max Payne 3 didn't the get the rating it deserved. I loved the game and already I've noticed that R* are doing double XP. To me that's desperation to get gamers playing it.
And if you look on Rockstars website, people just won't fuck up whining!
I want them to finish up with Max Payne though, after all this time I'm kind of getting impatient.
Yeah, I'm not gonna bitch and moan about it, but 8 months has been a bit long.

Yeah I agree with iBeNiko. I know Sleeping Dogs will be awesome! If Rockstar take a page out of their book plus a bit more, GTA V will be the best game ever. PERIOD.
I think if you also really copy Sleeping Dogs and throw people into things, it would just be pure amazing...and put them through tables and shit.

In GTA IV, the way helicopters broke was ok. It was a bit too repetitive...in GTA V, whether it's planes of helicopters, they should break in all different ways. I'll agree with most people and go back to Saints Row 2 where there were so many planes and so many ways to crash them.

I most defiantly hate mods for GTA on any console, it just ruins the game due to the fact they're used by cheaters 99.9% of the time. However the PC versions of both San Andreas and IV brought very cool mods. One of my personal favorites being the car mods and the first response mod for IV. The feeling of patroling the streets of liberty city in an updated crown vic or other real world police vehicle was great. SAMP was also a major success and quite enjoyable. If V is on the PC and you are going to get it for the PC, what kind of mods would you like to see (granted you use them)?
Yeah, it's annoying as fuck! And like you said: The PC ones are good. I only have San Andreas on PC and the MODs are amazing. The Xbox are plain annoying and fuck everything up.
Some mods are cool though, but if u start to mod rpg to rapid fire, then yeah it's pretty annoying.
I was playing TBoGT online about 2 weeks ago and there was this modder who like, set everyone on fire...IT WAS SO FUCKING ANNOYING!!

I'm kind of hoping the negative comments directed at Rockstar die down before the next bit of info is released because some of them are going to think it was their moaning which 'forced' Rockstar to release it.
I agree, it really pisses me off seeing people posting threats, leaks, etc. It's more annoying than anything else!
These people, in my opinion e:g false fans, dirtsheets, etc. are just getting on people's nerves and that's all. GTA is the best game in the world and I'm happy just to sit pumped up with excitement and let the game come out
Would not surprise me if most of these people complaining and calling for a boycot are 12 year olds.I do notice that pile of non happy people is growing though, but i'm pretty sure Rockstar will release something soon
You're right...I'm not much older than 12, but surely at 12, they have some sort of common sense!
-
I definitely think so! GTA, in my opinion is far more popular and powerful than COD or any other game!

Well I assume that if R* is to be at gamescom... and the trailer reveals a GTA 5 snippet. It's more likely GTA 5 would be at gamescom than GTA 5 being at E3 (which it wasn't)
Let's hope so.
-
I heard Rockstar confirmed being there. I sorta believe it as Take 2 are also going to be there, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up about GTA V.
-
When was San Andreas announced?
I think it was around this time in 2004. Now, I'm talking the trailer here...the 2nd trailer was released August 2004...if memory serves me correct.
-
I would like to receive tiny bits of information...if any. That's what I also liked about GTA III.
Really? I bet you loved the suspense of waiting for GTA III when you were what, 4 or 5?
Yes actually, I plyed Vice City before GTA III, but I still felt the fucking excitement.

I see what you mean by that. Saints Row 2 was always better even though the garage syste, was practically the same.
