  1. You're all hypocrites (with the exception of Ku). You all say I'm unreasonable thinking that there will be a good version of gta 5 on wii u, while you're all just fanboy assholes who just want to watch the wii u fail, because the wii had subpar graphics. Games aren't all about graphics, but apparently nobody realizes this.

  2. ^ my god you're an idiot. You're saying I have a lousy argument when your only "point" is how you think that the only people on earth who will buy the wii u are eight year olds. Besides, I've seen and heard plenty of eight year olds playing gta anyway...

I had many more points, if you bothered to read and comprehend you fucking moron.

Why don't you remind us of some of your "points"?

  3. It's not that we're fanbois blindly ignoring the Wii. It's that you are stubbornly trying to pass wishful thinking off as fact.

Nintendo's target audience is a younger crowd or a different kind of gamer.

Go ahead and wish for GTA to come out for the Wii as hard as you like. But don't expect the forum not to challenge your assertion that not only will V be released for the Wii, it will be even better than the game on other platforms.

And all of you who think Nintendo systems are only for little kids, look up the game MadWorld. That was a wii exclusive, and it doesn't look very "kid friendly" to me.

Variety is the spice of life. There should be a wide range of different games on different consoles or PCs. It's good that there's a kid-friendly console with titles like Just Dance or Mickey Paint or whatever. Of course they'll release an occasional exclusive that's outside their normal vein, to tap into the built-in market of parents and older siblings that have access to the console.

Here's the thing: It makes no difference to me because I'll be playing it on the PS3. In fact, when I was preparing to buy a console for the first time, I ended up getting a PS2 because of GTA III. I am not keen on the idea of using a motion sensor to play GTA and the other games I enjoy the most. I don't want to play charades.

I think the onus would be on you or Ku Zi Mu to offer ideas on how a game like GTAV could be better on the Wii U than on the consoles where it already exists. What about gameplay consistency across platforms?

If you so adamantly want to prove you don't care about wii u, why are you even on this thread?

First of all, we're talking about the wii u, not the wii, and second, explain to me why it couldn't be better.

  5. Damn. Looks like we were both wrong about the Wii U's power...

    http://www.gamesindu...-developers-say

Once again, the developers still do not have a final product.

Again just admit to your self that Nintendo is not the console for real gamers and by what I mean real gamers is people that game constantly or competitively. Nintendo is a console I would suggest to my girlfriend for her to have fun on.

So you're saying that to be a "real" gamer, you have to be a graphics whore.

  6. In my opinion, the Wii U controller doesn't seem like a good "harcore gamer" controller as you are so convinced Rockstar is trying to cater to. Also what awesome features could they include with the Wii U controller? Do you mean like the touch screen on the DS for CTW?

The possiblities can range anywhere from just having a map or HUD on the second screen to an inventory screen, to possibly even an entirely different menu to manage your drug trade or something. There are quite a few possibilities.

  7. I highly doubt this as gta v has probably been in development since gta I've was released.... Way before the deck it's we're available

It should be an easy enough port-- I plan on buying a wii u and honestly don't care whether R* uses the second screen or not, although it would be nice to have at least a map, or maybe your entire HUD on the controller screen

  8. GTAV most likely won't be on the Wii U for a couple a reasons. First, he Wii U's will be targeted towards family and kids under 12. It would ruin the disney-esqueeverythingissoperfectandfamily image that Nintendo now holds. Also, the Wii U won't be released until 2013, and the game will most likely be released before that (Hopefully, it may delay), and it just probably wont happen.

If for some reason a GTAV was for Wii U, it would be modified/waterred down version of GTAV.

Why would it have to be watered down?

My theory that in the event that R* does intend to put GTA V on the Wii, it will most likely be toned-down. I'm talking about violence and software specifications. It would not be as awesome as the other console/PC versions.

Not true, Nintendo has had worse. The Wii U is also more powerful than XBOX360 and the PS3.

Wrong. Developers say the Wii U is on par with the Xbox and PS3.

Yes, but so far developers only have development kits, which are not a final product, and not near as powerful and refined as the final product will be.

  9. I really think R* could be missing a market if they choose not to put gta5 on wii u. If the processing power is what Nintendo says it is, it should be an easy port. Plus, I think that it would be nice if they could put an interactive map of Los santos on the touchscreen.

What market? A lot of people trust Sony and Xbox, and would rather wait for them to release their next generation of consoles that will be more powerful than the Wii U, in only a short time after.

What market? How about the huge Nintendo fan base, or the Xbox or ps3 owners who want to upgrade to a wii u while they possibly wait years for a new Sony or Microsoft console.

The majority of the Nintendo fanbase are young children, and those who aren't are interested in classic games like Zelda and Mario, not GTA.

That's why I think nintendo would do anything for R* to get gta 5 on the wii u, so they could bring back the core gamer, as the wii u is meant to do

  11. Okay, you're right. screw Xbox, playstation and PC, let's all play GTA V, AC III and CoD 9 on the Wii! It's clear that that will be the leading console of the world and Sony and Microsoft will instantly be forgotten.

That's not what I'm saying. I just think that the wii u should get gta 5, considering that the wii u is supposed to outperform both the Xbox and ps3, as expected.

  12. The Wii U would probably get a bastardised version of the game instead, to suit the more casual gamer. I could see a new version of Chinatown Wars on Wii U, Vita, and tablets/mobiles.

The wii u should be plenty powerful enough to handle a direct port from Xbox or ps3, just with minor changes to allow for at least minimal use o the touchscreen

I'm not sure if anybody fully realizes this, but the wii u is a full console, not just a handheld. Just thought I'd clear that up:)
