  1. So in past GTA's we had many types of intractable buildings. IV however, didn't have as many as lets say San Andreas.

    Here are some ideas.

Hotels - Basically if you need a place to stay and get rest/ Help your health you can pay to stay at a hotel (Enterable Lobby, Hallways, Rooms, and elevators) There could also be different rated hotels and quality.

    rude-jokes-hotel-lobby.jpg

Hospitals - This is pretty obvious as to why it should be enterable. There should be doctors you can pay to replenish health like in IV with ambulances.

Convenience stores / Gas Stations - It would be nice to be able to go into these stores. It would just add to the realism of the city.

Mega-Marts/Chain Stores - You can buy basic supplies here like clothes and maybe stuff for your home (if you can decorate your home)

What would you like to see? Thanks to Dup for the idea.

  2. The simpsons and south park is all i have ever watched from that list.

The best comedy in the UK, is the Inbetweeners to me.

    I like an

    Idiot Abroad.

    Fresh Meat.

    Then old shows

    Keeping up appearances.

    One foot in the grave

    Jonathan Creek

    Etc

I love Idiot Abroad. They show it here in the US. I also like South Park. Really those are the only two comedy shows I've gotten into. Tosh.0 I watch here and there,

I'm more into the realistic shows like NYC 22, SouthLAnd, Downton Abbey, Walking Dead, etc.

  3. I think online customization needs a real overhaul... Choosing from a basic preset of outfits just doesn't cut it. Saints Row 3 character creation was pretty much what I want to expect for GTA V online/multiplayer. How hard can it be to add something like this? not hard, just time consuming, and they've had nothing but time to work on this. Hell, it's probably not even 'North' working on the multiplayer section, so whatever studio has this task has even more time to work something like this in!

Being able to make your own character which doesnt resemble everyone else online is what will make or break the next GTA 'Online experience' in my opinion.

/rant over, it had to be said though. :P

Exactly! I seriously think Rockstar is putting much more into the game though. Just look at how long it's taking them to release any info. If this were GTA IV we would have had our 2nd or 3rd trailer by now. I actually prefer that it's the way it is. It shows they are putting a lot of work into it and want the very best and it is making me think they are working a lot on customization. Building the city and map, cars, and peds don't take very long, considering that they know what they are doing on hardware now (that's why IV was delayed). So it makes me think that they have put a lot more into designing custom content.

Just like Saints Row. Maybe you can even carry over outfits from singleplayer onto multiplayer.

  4. Really why do people doubt a picture that was on their own fucking newswire for the past 24 hours. If it was fake it would have been removed by now.

If they were fake they wouldn't have appeared on the Newswire. The people still questioning the authenticity of them are probably the same ones who believe the crap fakes.

This kid beleives none of that unless it's on Social Club News. I tried explaining Social Club usually has to do with multiplayer news only since Social Club is for that purpose but he said that all GTA V news is on there. I said that since the only other things about GTA V confirmed were the trailer and crews, and crews was the only thing on Social Club news, the trailer must be fake too.

    He just shut up lol

  5. So I was doing some thinking and I came up with a theory. I originally posted it in the screenshot topic but thought I should write about it here.

Take these two pictures. I circled and compared height in maroon and circled two cranes in red.

    buildings.jpg

The first is from the screenshot that was just released. If you compare it to the ending scene of the trailer, they both look to be about the same height. This whole prediction of mine is assuming that construction stays steady throughout most of the game. At one point in the trailer you see what many people predicted to be the protagonist overlooking the Mile High Club. Let's just say for now that our protagonist is the older man seen multiple times as well as the person speaking in the trailer. Now if this game is to be set in modern times and taking hints about out of business signs and for sale signs, the economy is in a recession. Here in New York I see stores and buildings right near the end of construction shut down and become abandoned often due to the fact the owners don't have the money to finish it. Maybe our protagonist is the owner of this private tower, but has come to a dead end with finances and can't finish his construction of the building. This goes against some rumors of the building being constructed and growing throughout the story. Since he can't finish the construction on the tower, he goes back into the "line of work" he tried to get away from in the first place because he becomes desperate for the money he needs to complete it. This drags him back into a lot of trouble and he struggles to get out all throughout the story but his main goal the whole time is to get enough money to finish the construction.

To me my prediction sounds the most realistic and seems reasonable out of all the ones I've heard so far (and maybe has the most evidence to support it - although i could be way off)

Let me know what you guys think.

I made a similar prediction in the topic in which this one is now merged.

    I hadn't seen that, sorry.

  7. I'd like to compare the height of the STD tower. Look how on both shots (one from the ending scene of the trailer and the other is the screenshot) both have relatively the same height (maroon) and a crane (red). Maybe both scenes are from the same time but could also be an unchanged building throughout the story which contradicts the rumor about it being constructed more and more as the story goes on. Considering it will take place in rough economic times it would be a likely story the company had run out of money and had to stop current construction or is on the verge of bankruptcy and maybe the main protagonist gets back into the "line of work" to help continue the construction on his building and kick start his company back up again. That's my theory.

Also yes it says police on the tail. I changed the auto levels a bit to help see the outline and then colored inside the lettering.
