  1. Favorites from past GTA games:

Robbing drug stores, record stores, etc like in Vice City, since the stores were actually open and you could just run out after you have the cash (unlike SA)

The Empire system from Vice City Stories and Vice City, if they could mix those two into something that'd have potential. (VC's asset missions were some of the best missions in that game)

The return of the black boxville aka burglary missions

Putting bombs on cars ala GTA III

Some type of drug dealing missions could be cool too

    Edit: Typo

  2. Hmmm, first of all Chatterbox should make a return to GTA V. It's pretty much the best Lazlow orientated section when he's taking calls from local delinquents.

Second, less is more with the radio stations. GTA IV had 16 radio stations, while Vice City (best soundtrack IMO) had only 9 (2 were talk radio). San Andreas had 11 with 1 talk show radio station.

If they can nail the common genres (hip hop, classic/modern rock, contemporary, etc.) with 12-16 songs on each station I'm a happy man. GTA III left me wanting more songs. Vice City got it just right, and San Andreas had a few too many for me to catch up on. GTA IV was overkill.

There's something important about having a smaller amount of radio stations/ songs. Rockstar is able to pick out the best songs that reflect the time, but us as gamers will play the game for so long that we instantly recognize all the tunes and love them (this happened with Vice City).

  3. I think it's going to be LA. There's been rumours for quite some time of voice acting done there http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/115/1154230p1.html and Rockstar seems to have an affinity for redoing areas where they haven't went in depth enough for their liking (one of the main reasons they wanted to redo Liberty City...atleast that was their story to the press.)

I wouldn't be suprised if they re-did all of the three GTA San Andreas maps eventually...and I wouldn't complain a single bit.

  4. I think Edmonton is on its 43rd homicide of the year or something ridiculous like that, should start packing a box cutter or something.

Is that down to 43 shootings though?

Nah, according to this site http://www.dipity.com/kmulcahy/Murders-in-Edmonton-in-2011/#list I count 8-9 shootings, and probably double that for stabbings. Some cases they don't release the cause of death though.

But this high of death rate is ridiculously high for Edmonton, it surpassed the record of most deaths in a year in Canada this year.

  5. I'd have to say Vice City. III got me hooked on the brand, but I was so stoked for Vice City to come out and loved what they did with 80's Miami.

A deal breaker was just how you could have insane cop chases/rampages. You could rob a record store or pharmacy, get your two stars and then the next moment you find yourself on top of a building trying to take down a chopper. Rampages were fun in San Andreas, but you couldn't navigate the map fast enough to keep going and places like the countryside had less people to kill when going in between places.

Plus I love the property/empire building of VC, you were the king.

  6. ^Amen to that, And the tool shops. I miss buying hammers and beating the fuck out of random peds. And then the cops

Yes! I completely forgot about that from Vice City. That'd be a welcome addition back, maybe add a nail gun as well?

Adrenalin power-ups and rampages would be a nice thing to see come back, and if the game goes modern again it'd be nice to see some lesser known artists ala GTA III. If they jump in the de lorean though I'm all for big names from the past.
