    I just like the fact that, with all of their exotic sounding names, Costa Rica's best player was a man named Joel Campbell.

    A lesson never to write anyone off. Maybe CR heard all of the rubbish about them supposed to be whipping boys, and took appropriate action.

    Yes, idiotic sending off. But their number 11 should have been booked as well for the unnecessary shove.

    So then, the countdown to the biggest game of the tournament so far* is in its closing stages. I've been awake since 5am BST for work, so I'm going to be tired as hell come full-time, but I'll be cheering the Three Lions on as loud as I can, and willing them on to a hopeful win against the Azzuri. I'm not naive, of course it won't be easy, but England have to go for three points, and be bold in doing so.

    Dup, Firm, if either of you read this, what's the atmosphere been like in your respective corners of England? As you might imagine, very few people give a shit about it here in Swansea, even though I found it surreal as hell to see a Welshman wearing an England top in my work's canteen earlier.

    Quick edit: Damn, how about Costa Rica taking a shock 2-1 lead against a Suarez-less Uruguay (who is warming up as I type)? CR have looked the better team in the second half, talk of them being the whipping boys was of course premature.

    Quick EDIT: that was NEVER a penalty. Giving one as easily as that is going to set a very dangerous precedent. And what the hell was Neymar doing with all that damn dancing?

    Tell you what, Brazil have been very unconvincing today so far. Lucky for them that Croatia have been poor, a better side would give them serious problems if they continue to play like this.

    And where the hell are the samba drums? I know people were pissed off with the vuvuzelas last time, but seeing a home Brazilian football crowd without hearing the samba drums playing is just plain sterile and weird.

    I'm with Dup. As much as I'd like to see Brazil win it, I have a sneaky suspicion about Argentina. Frightening thing is you could take Messi out of the lineup, and they'd still be pretty tasty.

    Though I will be supporting the Three Lions with my head and heart as long as they are in, until the inevitable defeat on penalties. And being an Englishman living in Wales at this time of year is just plain bizarre. Oh well, if I get any stick, I'll just say, "try qualifying for something!!!!" in return...

    32 players each fighting for their time on the mic. Lord have mercy, it's bad enough with 8.

    Fuck hammerhead sharks I want some bears.

    Now that would be scary, but funny. It certainly would be fun to channel one's inner John Marston and see how many of those big beasts you could kill with just a knife before your inevitable death.

    Going back to the Online transfer, I hope that there would still be a way to use your character in the PS3 universe even after you did make the switch. After all, bOnEs and gtagrl will need the company every once in a while. :P

    I am so looking forward to this. Saw the trailer earlier...there's plenty in there that sold the game to me, but that elephant fucking up the jeep...bloody hell.

    This game is going to be aWesome! Although Vaas was a much better and crazy villain than the guy in the poster.

    To be fair, almost any villain would look tame when compared to Vaas.

    They might as well go ahead and change the minimum number of players on the mission 'Dry Docking' to 2.

    This used to be a fun mission for me to play solo, but the Merryweather AI has been messed up. No matter what, at least one of them comes after you at all times, making cracking the safe impossible without at least one other person offering cover fire.

    So, when it comes to GTA Online, I'm shit at deathmatches and average at racing. But I get the job done in missions, and one thing I'm very good at is golf. I note that my best score is the lowest amongst the crew, so take me on if you dare...

    The NL East...something of a black-and-blue division. As mentioned before, I sort of follow the Nats, as in a check-the-box-score-every-day-and-watch-when-i-actually-get-a-chance-to way. This is crazy though. Up and down that division like some kind of fucked-up hitparade.

    Got to take some more games off those pesky Braves though. And get everyone off the damn DL before long.

    The funny thing about all of this is reading R*'s official piece on the newswire, and seeing everyone bitching about it in the comments below. Honestly, no pleasing some people. To this point, every update has been FREE, and looking at the comments of those who clearly have a high sense of entitlement about it is wholly amusing.
