I doubt we'll see the kind of depth that has been suggested here, but I would love it if you could trail a random ped around and see them go about their lives, or find an isolated farm and one day pick off a farmhand, watch the police show up, see the farmer and farm works grieve, wait a few days and then do the same thing, only this tme its the famers wife, watch again and then set fire to his truck, you know, like your own private psychological war :ph34r:

    I'd also love to see whores servicing clients in alleys and cars, so we can shake them down by posing as cops

    Would also be cool if whilst robbing a store one of the customers in there was an off duty/plainclothes cop and starts shooting at you, same with commiting crimes in the street, but plainclothes cops would have a "tell", such as talking into their collars, cuffs or brown bags :)


  2. There also needs to be a greater variety of different ammunition for the new custom weapons. For instance Frag Rounds for Shotguns, Armour Piercing or Hollow Point Rounds for the Pistols, SMG's and Assault Rifles.

    Maybe you start off with more basic types of different ammo. Like Dumdum bullets ( which are created when you hammer a cross into the tip of a bullet ), these work like a poor-mans hollow point, and break apart in a targets body creating maximum damage.

    And eventually futher into the story you get access to more advanced ammunition like frag rounds ( used in shotguns ), that explode in a target's body, creating unbelievable damage. They were seen being used by the AA12 Shotgun in The Ballad Of Gay Tony ( taking down helicopters faster than RPG's )

    I like the idea of different types off ammunition, would add a layer of planning to what you load up with for a certain mission :)

    btw, a dumdum isn't a bullet with a X hammered into it, it is actually is an expanding lead round which has the copper or brass jacket left open at the tip, it gives better expansion than a plain FMJ, but are actually rarer than hollow points, they penertrate better and expand slower.

    A better starting round would possibly be plain FMJ, followed by hollow points, then (depending on available weapons) armour peircing or incendiary rounds

    Would be cool if they do this :)

  3. I'd really like to at least be a volunteer sherrif or something and call in backup when I need it. I loved the police missions in IV but hated that the moment you fired on a AK-wielding mobster who's spraying the cops, the cops turn their attention at you. The modders did a great job with police missions in both SA and IV. You can call in swat, perform cpr on fellow officers or call an ambulance. I think spike strips should return, and of course tear gas. I'm guessing K-9 units should be fun too :clap:

    I like the idea of being a volunteer sheriff, just think, you're having trouble clearing out a certain gang from an area you need, so you slip on your badge/uniform start a gunfight and then just call in SWAT backup!

A friend of mine is a paramedic in Los Angeles, has been since '89, according to her, the gang shootings she's heard about/seen/attended have involved a wide variety of weapons, the heaviest being an AK47. She's never heard anything about the gangs using an RPG, they have occasionaly used car bombs.

    As for bigger/larger/worse/better the gang activity has become less frequently violent, but what there is tends to be consistently violent.

    And to add my opinion, we did the gang banger thing in SA, am glad V is going in a different direction, otherwise it we'd be hearing more whinging and bitching that CJ isn't in it :wall:


  5. Given the size of the map, I'd say that different police districts are a given. Do you think the game will feature undercover/plain clothes cops? And what about state police? (a GTA parody of the CHiP and LASD)? I'd assume FIB and NOOSE are returning, but I hope they've upgraded the police intelligence. And I'll be very interested in how they mark the difference between different police districts and agencies (LSPD have newer cruisers and better guns, another smaller department wold have older cars and older guns).


  6. I'm not gonna lie, little disappointed vis-a-vis character customisation and buying property, and did notice that car customisation wasn't mentioned. But overall I have to say I'm quite excited about the game, I wasn't sure about multiple protags, but Rock* have pulled it off before (RDR and, to a lesser extent, L.A. Noire) and like the idea of them all being from different classes (All hail America's classless society!), but it does raise the question of how you'll "advance" in terms of better safehouses, etc.
