I don't think the DLC would carry on into online play.
They stated it would, so why wouldn't it?
They did? In that case... Ignore my stupid comment. I'm interested to know how that will work though, will the people with the DLC have their own lobbies of DLC stuff? Otherwise like someone said you could simply kill the owner of the car and take it.
maybe it will work somewhere along the lines of max payne dlc... when you bought that special gun for some reason, other players that did not have the dlc will just not be able to pick the gun unless they have the dlc. or maybe they will just be able to get it but not save it in their garage, like saint row the 3rd, they will be able to even ride the car, just not save it.

I hope money is also a part of multiplayer. giving the same options as in single player with respect to how one goes into spending it.

I think they should make the online game play like red dead redemption undead nightmare. I'm not sure if it's the same for the first red dead game because I never played that one online but on undead nightmare you could form clans/gangs with each other & run around & help your partners (or whatever you wanna call them) fight or just run around exploring. R* should make it kinda like that. You all start out as a different color but if you're able to join/form a clan/gang turn you all into the same color so you know who is with you.
On the online settings where you can make your own character, they also need to have an option to make your own gang color, & also your own gang tag. They should also have an option of a starting teritory, let you pick where your gang starts & be able to get a gang safe house in that teritory. They should also bring back spray painting, kinda like they did in GTA SA to mark/cover other gang teritory.
That's my thoughts on online gang building. If I think of anything else or a bunch of people don't like this idea, I'll be sure to post ways of improving the thought of it.

Pretty sure when they annouced that they meant KNOWN celebrities. It's not like they're just gonna cast people with no experience. Jonah Hill is an A lister and a steadily rising star. It's not him dude.

Do you guys think they have created a completely new police pursuit system or do you think they have just upgraded GTA IVs system? Personally, I think they should just keep the current system and work out the tweaks, although I found it to work pretty well. Maybe instead of a perfect circle of area the police search for you, it could be maybe a specific neighborhood they will search for you or depending on the amount of stars, a certain district or even city/town...

ah but you can definatly do beter than mafia 2, and knowing rockstar they'll one up everyone else hopefully. might not be my idea but just some level of modification. i liked my idea cause your interacting more with your vehicle and its alittle less machine like. its alittle more realistic is what im trying to say. oh and did your car color ever lock in gta 4 from the pay in spray? and did it always happen to be the uggliest paint color ever
I'll have to agree. It makes the feel of the game come to us as more realistic, which takes the gamers and makes them feel like they are really in the game. Hopefully some house editing options are available too. Since GTA5 has waited this long I expect there to be more than we can handle.

This posting is by Brandon Harrell, from a small town in Texas, and I absolutely love GTA. I have bought ever single version of the game for ever console since it has started. I am definitely a die-hard fan. Mason Dube has made a very compelling point here, it would be so amazing to be able to up our cars performance wise just with like doing the body muscle. The options to put in 2.7L .3.5L, body work, interior exterior, dual exhaust and everything would be so fucking amazing. I joined this forum just to post my thoughts on in and I hope they are heard. It seems like a whole bunch of people want this done. I wish for there to be real dates with women, ones you can get to know, maybe ones you meet just by talking on the street. You can , for instance, talk to them and get their number. Call them- set up a date-, etc. Maybe adding marriage would be a step too far but if that is an idea I would like it to be there as well. As a personal player, with my own creativity, the storyline is what I love. Everything connects to the story, but I want there to be a part after the game is completed too you know. I am so into the storyline every single game that comes out and when I start playing it I am literally glued to it. It takes me to a new realm of creativity and individuality. So my personal wishes for the game are : 1. girlfriends tie in more, bodybuilding, car performance, and also something to take place after the story line, things to do, or even exterior missions and goals players can complete. Thank you all so much for my time, and I hope I haven't bothered you any.

Rockstar should make it more realistic. I mean, cop in big city should bring more weapons or modern weapons but if the cop in country side as well bring an old weapons and also if they are catching thief it has to be with dogs!
well given that this is not texas, and we are not going to be stuck in the middle of fucking nowhere, there should be no reasons for cops to carry an ak as opposed to an m4, or a s&w revolver as opposed to an automatic gun, or a double barrel shotgun as opposed to a regular pump action shotgun.
the cops will most likely have the same weapons in every district,
now for the dog part..... I agree with you.

that is spelled right, and military based weapons like mines, and different types of grenades would be a cool addition since we are most likely going to be able to access tanks. unless mounted I do not see miniguns being any useful, and definitively anti aircraft weapons would be a really good addition otherwise taking out jets would be next to impossible.

i had just got off the broker bridge and was driving my Tampa i stopped at a red light cause this intersection had too many cars at it and then out of no where a cop drives up and hits me from behind then acts like i hit them and chases me which is
cause that should have been me chasing him but i got revenge.(didn't think i had a gun did you dumb ass,lesson [don't hit home boys car and he will not hit you with bullets.])
such a good and fun story I ate popcorn while reading it.

if u play max payne 3, which is justified in the use of dual weapons, you will see how unbalanced and unrealistic they can become, at the end of the day is like giving a 1000 monkeys a 1000 knifes, they will make a fucking mess and the game will be unplayable.
sorry i don't play max payne 3 but i can get at what your saying,you just don't like things that are dual.
still you can't be bad ass if you aren't shooting two handguns off or two micro smg's the only problem is you run out of ammo faster and then you will need more ammo.
So what you are getting at is it would be dumb to have dual desert eagle's but smart to have dual 9mm's,or like something that requires you to use 2 hands too fire and you have duals, then yes that would be stupid ,but just having one ,of a gun that should not be used as duals is ok then I under stand completely.

I think what he's getting at is dual weapons shouldn't be in the game. First off using two guns at once on a single target is completely rediculous.. It would be much better to put accuracy into one weapon and hopefully make the killshot quickly. It's ok in games like max payne because max payne is just a crazy slomo diving bad ass game. But as you will see in max payne's multiplayer, dual pistols/smg's completely dominate, making using a single pistol/smg completely obsolete unless you're a much better shot than your oponent. So I believe he, much like myself, would prefer to keep dual weapons out of gta 5. Using two guns at once is something that is best saved for movies and games that don't center on realism. I prefer shooting to be realistic as possible in gta, and duals would just get in the way of it and make it seem cheesy or childish.
You can only take realism so far though.
If shooting was too realistic, you could only carry 2 or 3 guns and fuck all explosives, can't go on a decent spree with such a pitiful armoury. Recoil would be a bitch and no aim assist would make it worse. Would spoil the fun for me, I am not after a COD experience.
Dual wielding would be cool for the smaller guns. Especially if you could aim each separately....

But saying anything about san andreas is completely irrelivant when it comes to talking about guns and shooting in gta 5 since it has completely changed. R* has been improving their shooting and hit detection with each game they make (gta 4 -> red dead -> max payne) so I'm hopeing that pattern continues. All I'm saying about dual weilding is that it hurts online play in my opinion. It's fitting for games like max payne 3. But in gta, i don't want to see everyone running around with dual pistols/smgs simply because they have greater damage output at close range.

well if you put it that way then maybe instead of saying some thing positive about what you said i think this has gone on enough to say drop the subject, because some want to use two pistols at the same time and others don't because it might do some thing to the aiming issue, while the ones in between don't what the enemy to have duals or they might get wasted faster then what they might if there was no dual gun,but they get duals then self.

well in real life you do not see people going on rampages with dual pistols, in reality this is very impractical and stupid, and the chances of you hitting a target get slimmer if you have to worry about two guns. hitman absolution made this point clear and very realistic, with accuracy dropping so bad that it is better to just use a single pistol and waste less bullets on a single target.

I'm curious about what they'll do with the country side, it's gotta be hella hard to make every inch of that mass of land unique.
most of RDR seemed pretty generic to me. although we have to admit that the diversity of landscapes were great, but there was literally nothing else to do in free mode but to fuck around with cougars and kill people.

R* doesn't recreate cities building by building, they condense the city down and filter all the forgetful, generic buildings out to leave a creamy goo of pure orgasmic epicness.
