GTA 5 Landmarks and Other Buildings

As you may have seen in the Grand Theft Auto V trailer or in our GTA V trailer breakdown, there are many real buildings from Los Angeles in the game - similar to New York City with Grand Theft Auto IV. Here's a more organized listing of the landmarks as well as other lesser-known buildings and structures featured in Los Santos and its surrounding areas.
Note: Not all are exact and Rockstar has taken liberties with many of them. A few appear to be mixes of two or more buildings. The buildings in the game were matched up with their closest real life counterpart. All photos found via Google with lesser quality used. Some landmarks are subject to change as we find better matches.

-Bunker Hill Promenade (?) - 18diego_dd (Guest) April 06, 2012This is awsome . i loved SA and since i live 30 min away from Downtown LA , this is cool because i have been to 80% of these places. its going to be really easy to remember this map for me like it was for Midnight Club LA
- cr7 (Guest) April 03, 2012wooooooooow sin palabras
- Is it just me or do you not like to see these places in real life? After playing GTA SA as a kid I see these places as places in Los santos rather than LA but maybie thats just me.
- uno what, i wonder if the desert is gonna be in ther. cuz if u look in the trailer at the wind farm, it almost looks like the desert around LA
- Cal (Guest) March 29, 2012In response to the member who claimed they wanted better graphics. Just wait until the second trailer drops. Usually unpolished games are the first to be shown. And the graphics are still better than SA...
- Cool if you can enter into random buildings, DL from the police, and for other things that may be in the game.
- pepe (Guest) March 10, 2012Good job
- mosblind223 (Guest) March 01, 2012Great work TreeFitty!!!
- Wclon (Guest) February 28, 2012Ive been to most of these places and I've seen a lot of these buildings, southern California is one of the coolest places in the world I think and I can't wait to see how fun it's going to be playing there
- I like the look of the Capitol Records building, great finds.
- Converted all pics to .jpg so everything should load a little faster.

- Thanks. Just added a few pics yesterday I have been forgetting to upload.
- I'm amazed at how they were able to copy the city so accurately, thanks TreeFitty for the article.

- Kevin (Guest) January 07, 2012Honestly iGTA5.com is a REALLY great website for real gta fans. :D
I luv the pictures. It looks like you guys put in real effort into matching the pictures in the trailer and in real life!! i can not wait till Grand Theft Auto V
<3 - C. Johnson (Guest) January 04, 2012wow, the game looks better than the actual real life pics. It is so close to reallity. The sure did do their homework on this. i wonder if there will be ocean break and tides. The map looks big. 4 times the size if IV. i love it. no more confined city map. Love the new look.
- billiejoearmstrong (Guest) January 04, 2012woww,goodjob maan..

- john (Guest) December 24, 2011Why did they put the EU flag on the gulf course? We're not a country yet, hopefully we never will be, Europe hates us
- Changed MGM HQ in Century City to a newer, better match: The Century.
- @Billy SODMG: Possible. Haven't made a very good match yet.
@Tino Roelofs: Thanks. - Billy SODMG (Guest) December 16, 2011Is the Staples Centre in the game does anyone know?
- MrViking (Guest) says...
WAtching these pictures, do you guys think we might see a 100% replica of LA? (Cept for the names of course).
It's not a replica, but is not as small and reduced as GTA IV. I mean, they won't put all the buildings, they'll put most of the important buildings, so that it will be LA compressed, but not as much as GTA IV. R* said that this was the biggest project they've ever made, so I guess it's 2 or more times the GTA IV map - San Fierro_Freak11 (Guest) December 05, 2011I have see the Staples Center !!!
And a question whould be neverland ranch or Michael Jackson in this game. - JD (Guest) December 02, 2011AMAZING!
**IMPORTANT** You/me/someone NEED to find out where or what that liquor store is out in that desert scene!(It's at the 55 second mark in the trailer) - "bawww credit to other sites bawww"
Or, you know, me and a couple other people scavenged Los Angeles daily after the trailer to pinpoint places. But sure, we stole everything from your favorite site. We didn't do any work at all. Sure. - 5GTA.com (Guest) November 25, 2011Wooow! Respect dude. how could you find all that? Are you from LA??
- bill (Guest) November 21, 2011wow man
- yeah look at buildings close together in GTA V and then look at the real ones, they are no where near eachother in some cases, also LA is FUCKING HUGE. it would take like a decade to recreate it perfectly, then you would need like a fucking CIA server to run the game XD
- No, it is another condensed version of the real world just like GTA IV.
- MrViking (Guest) November 20, 2011WAtching these pictures, do you guys think we might see a 100% replica of LA? (Cept for the names of course).
- some fotos of GTA5 looks very realistic
sometimes more realistic than the original one - Thanks. Basically everyday for the past 2.5 weeks I've been scanning Bing & Google maps trying to match buildings from the trailer. This past week included finding good comparison pics. :P
- Wow! Amazing post Treefitty! This must have took a lot of time! Its really cool to see that some of the buildings actually are based on real buildings.
Enjoyed watched this, good post:)
