Graphics, Don't expect too much

Recommended Posts

Opx, graphics are a huge part of gameplay. They totally affect the emersive experience of the game. Gta 4s blur affect gave me a headache when playing the game, made the game impossible to play for extended periods of time.

And lotd's grain affect was even worse.

Id rather have lower resolution graphics than shitty effects everywhere.

Gta 4 had to have the worst graphics of any AAA title so far this generation.

Gta 5 looks a lot better in the shitty blur affect department, though.

My console version didn't look as bad as that. Also, I noticed EFLC got rid of the "foggy filter". My guess is that screenshot is from the PS3 version, since it was essentially a port of the Xbox 360 version (which the game was developed for).

i really don't like that atall. i've never played it on pc. i might in the next month or two if i buy a gaming pc for sim city. anyway, i don't like how it looks like a slightly less gran turismo lol

What's not to like? That's only the lighting, which is easily changable. The point is, the PC version didn't look shit. If anything, it highlighted the potential power of the RAGE engine, which modders unlocked for us all to play!

With GTA V, we can already see from the trailers, that R* have already made huge strides in post processing, as the backgrounds all look smooth and blurry instead of gaussian grain blurred.

Do you play GTA on PC with the keyboard or is there any controller for PC?

If you have a 360 controller with the cord you can plug and play it with PC. Automatically turns all of GTA IV's controls to match the 360 version. :)

There is also scripts to run the PS3 controller on PC.

thats what I do. Works very well most of the time.

anyways, just found something I really want to be changed in terms of "graphics" above everything else: I want the camera not to be centered on the player while driving like it is in IV, but on the vehicle like it was before.

after giving vice city another spin from the getgo recently this really annoyed me just as much as it did annoy me back when IV was released
