  1. wow listen to this proud american giving the gamestop review. he only gave it a 9 because he was offended by the game.

he refers to rockstar's genius humor as "misogynistic nastiness"

actually, he sounds just like the liberal host of "pacemaker" in GTA IV

EDIT: turns out it's actually a feminist lesbian giving the review, not a metrosexual male. my bad

    Chill out. It's a 9/10. Hardly a bad review.

  2. I cannot understand the whole midnight release thing. Seems like a major pain the in the ass. Plus, but the time you get the game home your gonna be all tired and shit and not feel good. Who wants to play a game in that state?

I work nights (normally 11:00 pm to 7:30 am) so really "staying up" for a midnight release to me really just means being awake all night like I normally am.

  3. With the planes in there has to be at least two airports, otherwise whats the point?

What I'm hoping for is a good medium-sized city on the other side of the map from Los Santos. Something like San Diego would be perfect.

Believe me there will be around 5 or 6 airports on gta 5

5 or 6 airports eh? and you know this because...?

  4. There are 2 ideas I have for potential dlc's for gta 5

1st one is there being a cop protagonist, taking elements from the movie 'Training Day' for it, as in showing the character the ropes of being a cop in Los santos (LA)

The second would be a dlc about gangs. Showing since the late 90's gang banging has died. And instead of grove street fams it could have the Ballas point of view, maybe even the Vagos

I was secretly hoping that Franklin would be on the Ballas side of things. We've seen the Families in San Andreas, a new perspective would be refreshing.

  5. ^^broken...

regarding the military heist thing from the image comparisons, the board says portola drive, sounds like a jewelry heist to me, or perhaps a residential place with a safe... something tells me there will be a military heist, but not from that artwork... but the screencap definitely poses the thought...

dupz got a nice list of heist movies, i was looking for a topic to post about that... might as well be here... i just watched the italian job, the more recent one, and it's got GTA writen all over it... the planning, the hired hands, the routes, the execution, the what-ifs, and all that... cusomizing things fit for the job at hand... it makes me excited to think that each heist, whether big or small, is only limited by your creativity...

oceans eleven, snatch, swordfish, and especially what beatnic said, 3000 miles to graceland... an underrated film IMO... i bought heat on blu-ray for $8, looking forward to watching that soon :D... like i said, just watched italian job... just like i did with RDR and LA Noire, i watched period pieces... GTA V tells me i need to watch heist movies...

jason statham seems to be in quite a few of them ...

All fantastic movies. Will have to work my way through Dup's list of older heist movies over the summer.

On a side note, Jason Statham... ...Highly recommend The Mechanic. It's not a heist movie, but an assassin revenge flick. He's done so many action movies, people might overlook this one as just another 'drive fast, shoot guns and take your shirt off' venture, but this one is well written, beautifully shot, and shows that he can act.

I make a point of staying away from Statham movies for that reason.

  6. *Sorry if already found*

I think i have found a clue about a possible mission/heist of the military base/prison (below is what i am talking about)

    franklin-michael-plan.jpg

See on the notice board next to the title of the "To Do List" there is a picture/sketch of what appears to be the prison/military base.

    Here it is below.

I believe that you are right about Trevor jumping from the Jeep as being part of the heist, but I don't think the picture on the board has anything to do with it. Look closely and you can see the Bug Stars logo, as well as a couple pictures of diamonds. Clearly the board is set for the jewelry store heist.

  7. What I would like to see is four or five missions leading up to a heist that would be prep work. Stealing a get away car, taking a photo of a blue print etc. You wouldn't need to do all or any of the prep missions before the heist, but if you chose to skip them then things would go wrong, and the heist would be more difficult to complete. This way someone who put the work in and did the prep missions would see a much smoother (and maybe more profitable) heist, while people who wanted to rush in without the prep work would have to fight their way out resulting in a messier and harder job.
