  1. Who gives a shit if he was to have a shrine in his honour? They could have buried him in a booby-trapped grave, when there's enough of his admirer's standing over it BOOM!

Haha. :D Sounds like a tempting idea but you can't seriously mean it if you know how the world works. It's not a Indiana Jones movie.

My guess is they just didn't want anyone digging the body up to do DNA tests themselves. The general feeling/acceptance around that part of the world is that he died in 2001, if you've been watching their news channels you would hear them saying this story is a load of bull. They're not denying he's dead, just denying that he died recently.

No one have declared Bin Laden dead a long time ago, it's been just guessings that he might have died earlier.

Loving how the story keeps changing, that's why you should concentrate on what is said on the news when it's breaking. Once the 'official' story comes out the media latch onto it and hope you forget about what you heard in the first few hours. Like 9/11, do you remember the reports that vans packed with explosives had been stopped by police and a group of Israelis arrested? The Israelis then getting released and going on TV and saying they were there to document the event? The firefighters, police and numerous other credible witnesses saying bombs were going off in the basement that hadn't even been hit by a plane yet? The people who were trapped in Building 7 after a bomb went off and trapped them in there for hours? People saying cars were exploding in the street? You didn't hear these eyewitness accounts on the news again after the 'official' story started getting reported.

Of course the story keeps changing! That is because the media use many sources, and some of what they broadcast are unconfirmed =hearsay.

About 9/11, I don't know what bombs you talk about. I saw airplanes crashing. Additional explosions after that doesn't mean someone set off a bomb, the explosions could have been something else.

And why have I not heard more about the car loaded with explosives that you say was stopped? It must be because it was irrelevant to the whole 9/11 incident. The press is free.

The first few hours of reporting is where you're likely to hear how things actually went down, some of it might be confusion but it often makes more sense than the bullshit that becomes the official story later on.

No, the first few hours are when things are more unclear because not everything is released. And when media don't get all info, they talk with experts and make guesses.

What the fuck are we trying to prove. Just celebrate the little bitch has started to rot.

  2. Plus, the mad dash to bury him in the ocean... pfft.

Initially, also I found that strange. But remember that to many people he's some sort of Jesus figure and a grave on land would attract them like flies are attracted to horse shit. We don't need that to happen.

  3. I miss when people used to be drawn and quartered...

Personally i believe they should have tortured the geezer too

He should have had a rusty nail shoved up his cock for every death he was responsible for.

I like that, but the downside is that millions would sympathize with him and ask if the US are any better than Osama.

I think they discarded him at sea because that way his grave won't be a "holy" place inspiring more low-life to join his "holy" war against the West.

  4. I saw this topic last night, when it had about two replies and before I heard reliable news. I thought it was all just bullshit, especially since Marney posted it...

It's good to hear that the piece of shit was caught, but I wish they had taken him alive. But it's also much simpler for the US to handle bin Laden dead than it is to bring him to court.

It's also surprising to learn that he lived in a city near the Pakistan capital. It seems obvious that the Pakistan intelligence service have known about this, maybe also helped hiding bin Laden. Putting their government in a most embarrassing position (which is well deserved).

I just don't want people thinking you're spouting random crap again. :P

    :P

  5. I'm gonna go completely off topic here and introduce myself!

Hi i'm Dan, until 5.30pm today i still officially work with Psy, after then i'm jumping ship and getting another job closer to home. Psy just wouldn't shut up about how much money he makes off his websites, that was my main reason for leaving.

As for me it's pretty much the same as Psy, web developer, PHP and all that jazz. I've already graduated from uni so i taught Psy pretty much everything he knows.

Love games, especially the Assassin's Creed series, can't miss out GTA though! Would say i'm more a PC gamer than a console one and that's about it!

Welcome. I see you are both Batman and Postman. Do you also work as Postman because Batman's salary is too low, or do you also work as Batman because transporting mail don't give you an adrenaline rush?

  6. Well, Pieface is in the same boat as Marney as far as failure goes. Actually, Pieface is more fail than Marney, but he doesn't post as frequently so we don't get as many chances to downvote and ridicule him.

lol. I didn't expect to hear this. I've not seen anything that makes me agree, I actually think Pie is cool. But I don't know this community as well as you so I'm not challenging that statement.

  7. MY Ps3 setup is looking messy atm, so i ain't posting pics.

But here's my PC, it's been upgraded a bit since then.

    http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll223/BushkaUK/DSC00827.jpg

    specs:

    Antec 900 Case.

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Motherboard. (Good for over-clocking)

    Intel i7 930 2.8Ghz.

I have an enclosed circuit water cooler for my cpu.

Corsair TX Series 650W Modular PSU (needs upgrading soon)

    Mushkin DDR3 16GB (4x4GB) 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 OC 1GB NVIDIA Graphics Card

    1TB SATA II Hard Drive.

    Windows 7 Ultimate.

Looks awesome! My first thought was "Alienware". ^_^

I wanna build a full tower pc, but the plan is on hold because I don't have room for it on my desk. But I guess this place is the right place to ask for advice when the day comes. ;)

I have only decided one thing: Water cooling. Those stand-alone water-cooling towers look awesome.

  8. Don't forget about bOnEs, he knows his shit too. Always have to give him credit. Stoic is good too, but he doesn't come into the Fallout topic very often anymore.

Of course, I forgot Bones. I don't read the Fallout topics often so I don't know much of what's going on in there, but I've noticed that you, Synch and Bones post often there. Didn't someone credit Synch for being a Fallout encyclopedia in their sig on the old forum?

  9. Demon, take my advise, if you ever get the chance to play Fallout 3, do it. That game is a masterpiece, and if your computer can handle it (you don't have an Xbox 360 or PS3 to play it on, if I remember correctly?), it has one of the most beautiful game environments you'll ever see. I would recommend Fallout 3 (and New Vegas) to someone who doesn't even play video games, just to stand on top of a hill and take in the scenery, if nothing else.

Thank you for the advice I appreciate it, although if I do follow it it will probably steal hundreds of hours from my life... +Rep.

Have you played Half Life 2? The scenery in that game blew me off my feet, and it was a good game because of more reasons than just its beauty.

How does Fallout 3 compare to HL2? I know they are different types of games, HL2 is merely a first person shooter whereas FO3 has a role-play element to it if I'm not mistaken. If we forget about pixel numbers and frame-rate (I suppose FO3 is superior here), is it possible to compare the visual aspect in the two games? HL2 was fantastic (at least for its time), it had many different environments. What I remember most was Ravenholm and Highway 17. It took the breath from me. Sadly I never got to finish it because the game was on a computer I had borrowed.

I read some mediocre reviews of New Vegas, most of the criticism was something about playability(?), hopefully they have fixed the problems later.

  10. The original San Andreas screenshot is still one of my faves. Like most people believe, that probably was the most anticipated game in history and those screens started it all.

For some reason this screenshot of Fallout 3 made me desperate to play it though:

    fallout-3-ss-26.jpg

Look at that environment! :o That screen makes me want to buy and play Fallout 3 so badly.

But I haven't got the time for it. :(

  11. Kind of a toss-up between Thompson and Pachter as to who's most deserving of death by firing squad. And by "firing squad" I mean thirty guys firing flaming arrows into them.

I think Pachter should be first to face the firing squad, after all he's the one who gets people's hopes up with his expert opinions while the other dipshit just makes people laugh.

    Jack_Thompson_News.jpg

    Classic.

We need a JT smiley. A sawnoff dick.

And we should do an exception and vote up that post of Marney.

  12. I didn't know if the image was credible or not, but I half way bought it, I will admit that. But I don't really care where GTA5 will be because I'm gonna like it regardless. So I didn't get fooled in that way as someone else maybe was. :)

these cheap traffic comments are kind of pissing me off... like this place needs a few extra hits... it's recognized by rockstar games as an official fan site... we don't need the "cheap" traffic here at all... we get exclusive screens so who cares what the internet thinks...

    I absolutely agree!

  13. Edit,

I guess the number of dots (bullet_black.png) below the user title is dependent on postcount only. And I guess the user titles is also dependent on postcount only. Number of "Likes" and reputation has nothing to do with it?

The dots are related to post count. The title under your avatar is also linked to post count. Rep is a different system with different titles.

That's what I thought. But what about the "Likes", they don't add to either of the two systems? I've not seen a separate stat for them. I guess they're a third system and that they are not counted anywhere. Giving rep to profile comments would be more useful IMO, but maybe it's impossible.

  14. I doubt the emergency lights and reflections will be as well done but here's a glimpse of a fantastical new Los Santos for GTA 5 (if that happens). Good stuff is at 0:45 and onward.

This one is more realistic of what we can expect:

If only I had a gaming PC and knew how to mod... :(

The first video is amazing but second video isn't too bad either.
