  1. Another nice video, Dup!

Now after a browser update I can watch the video you linked to at vimeo.com. But it's the same video you had embedded in a post lol, "AI Insurgence". The graphics are very nice, but I like the music even better! The sound effects from the robots are okay, but I think the sound from fired guns should be a bit harder?

    Triple +.

  2. does it not? Oh what both of them? i posted a youtube link and a vimeo link, they both work on my screen...

The embedded videos posted here are working now, after I enabled iframes. They used to play without iframes but something seems to have changed recently.

The robot looks really nice, but I don't think the design looks realistic. But realism is perhaps not important.

The video at vimeo.com is still not working for me, I enabled everything but it's just a big black rectangle not loading anything. Maybe a browser issue since it works for you.

  3. I have to install it on my pc? The file I mentioned was perhaps a program install file. I'm a bit hesitant installing things, and since you don't need more space now I think I'll skip it.

The video you linked isn't starting, it's just a black box. But it's probably awesome stuff (as usual) so I'll try again later.

  4. Umm, I can't recommend anything, but I can post some of my favourites.

Go ahead and recommend your favorites, the whole point with this thread is to share what you like... I thought it was obvious what I meant when I set "Recommend music videos" as the subtitle, but maybe I could do a slight change to it.

  5. Can you all do me a favour and help me expand my dropbox limit by taking five minutes of your time to make a free account?

I use it to transfer my game creation packages to peers, and the free limit is only 2GB. Each person that joins through me gives me an extra 250mb, and the limit is 8GB. Remember, it's free!

    Use this link:

    Thanks :)

I signed up there a couple hours ago, you should have more space now. Have you got enough?

A file "Dropbox 1.1.31.exe" wanted to download/run on my computer... I don't know what it wants to do, but no thanks.

It's strange that right after I had denied that exe file, my router started to blink red and I lost my internet.

  6. It's crazy to think we can routinely get 32GB onto SDHC cards, which are small enough to fit inside cameras. SDXC cardscan/will support up to 2TB as well but we're 'only' up to 128GB atm ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital_card#SDXC ). I think a return to cartridges may be inevitable eventually, in some form or another.

Yeah so we may have a cartridge come-back but an ultra slim/tiny version! The only thing you'll have to worry about is losing them. I find it hard enough to keep DS games in their boxes!

A comeback for the cartridge! But I have a solution to your problem with losing them. At the same time, make a comeback for the pager! Equip the cartridge with a pager that you can call up. :v

  7. @MastRMe Ok, seeing as you said so - I now also believe bin Laden did 9/11. Maybe they should have taken him alive so they could interrogate him and make him stand trial, would have been an open and shut case with all the evidence linking him to it don't you think?

Maybe he could have explained how he made the towers fall down like this:

your an idiot. and the stupid conspiracy theories you come up with dont make any sense. like you. good day sir(or ma'am is it . marny sounds like a girl)

Marney is well established here and a licensed idiot, but you are not licensed so stop acting like one. :v

    Welcome to the forum.

  8. I think cartridges will be a nice touch to get back into for hard copy gamers. I'm one of those people that hates buying digital content and hasn't got physical copies of it. But now we can store huge amounts on small objects i think nice little USB cartridges could make a great retro come back!

I agree on that, I need physical copies as well. I don't buy digital content at all, I need that pretty cover art and nice glossy manuals etc. It also feels so much safer and more valuable than a digital copy that you have to boot up in order to check if you still got it. I have some shelves with game covers and I like to look at it sometimes. I don't have to start up the computer or console in order to do that.

The day I become a cyborg and have digital storage devices in my head, then maybe I'll buy digital copies. I would be able to see the content at any time just by thinking of it.

  9. 25 discs for 360

    2 discs for PS3

    (hopes)

I'd actually love to see a game with that many discs xD

    25...

Haha. One of my games is on 11 or 12 disks, I think it maybe was Monkey Island 2. It's funny to hear new generation gamers think of disk swapping as a problem. :P

But to be honest it is a pain to swap disks often, it's just that we've not been so used to it after discs (optical) replaced disks.

I have no idea but I just guess GTA5 will be on more than one disc.

  10. OMG it's David Braben! I instantly recognized the name but it took me a few moments to remember where I had heard that name before, and that was about 17-18 years ago. Braben wrote Elite and Frontier: Elite II. Very skilled programmer, he managed to fit Elite II onto just one single 880 kByte 3 1/2" diskette!

It's unbelievable how small and cheap computers can be, wristwatches are smaller but they can't browse the web and handle office applications (yet).

The next step could perhaps be to make it wireless and build the pc in a mouse...

    Good story. :)

  11. I don't think anyone has claimed he's not dead, I know I haven't anyway. Like the first thing I said in this thread - I've always believed he died in 2001.

Bin Laden released some video and audio messages over the last 10 years, most of them after 2001. It was maybe not proved 100% to be authentic, but it was in the least proved to be very likely to be authentic. If it is very likely that we saw and heard the real Laden, what makes you believe that he died in 01? Do you choose to believe the least likely theory?

There's a link in the OP which reports his death in 2001.

I'm looking into that link now.

Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.

The story origins from Pakistan Observer, is that someone you trust? And the story was retold in Fox, a source you normally don't trust. But you choose to trust Fox when it fits your conspiricy paranoia?

I've never heard about the Pakistan Observer before, and I don't trust them when they tell the story of 'some mountain guy'. This is hearsay spread by media. You call that proof?!

Osama bin Laden dead: Blackout during raid on bin Laden compound

The head of the CIA admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound as further doubts emerged about the US version of events.

Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, revealed there was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from cameras mounted on the helmets of the US special forces was cut off.

What the fuck? This reeks if true. I think I want to have a blackout myself...

  14. I see some people mentioned how it's unwise to trust the news because of how inconsistent they can be. Why not apply the same logic with the government? The history of inconsistency with the government's stories is on par with the mainstream news. We're dealing with a flat-out liar here (Obama). Bring the troops home! Close down gitmo! The government is subject to doubt just as much as any lousy news network. I guess the average idiot who believes everything is quintessential to making a government so powerful.

Touché, I admit that's a surprisingly good analogism from you. But you missed something: Obama don't rule the US on his own. I don't think he lied when he said he wanted to close down Guantanamo. And he have already brought troops home from Iraq? Maybe not as fast as he originally said but it's happening. I don't call that a lie.

I may be a sucker but when Obama say something, I take it seriously as if he really means it.

    Look, a used pinata! :o

The picture is gruesome because he has a massive open head wound across both eyes. It’s very bloody and gory.

Seriously speaking, the head wound is too big to look credible, unless that is the exit wound. But it's not likely that they shot him in the back of his head... AFAIK thy use small calibre weapons, no bigger than 9mm. That looks more like a hammer wound...
