I wrote some things that caught my eye on the picture provided by Treefitty. You can notice that the distance between the Vinewood Hill and the last noticeable mountain is pretty big. Second, you can spot right behind the helicopter blades that there's a weird formation that looks like a town/oil jack pumps or a millitary base. Last but not least, the bushes/trees I circled (kinda) are pretty low quality.

Hello guys. Long time, no post. I have been watching all the threads though, but I wasn't posting because I'm that lazy. Anyway, something bugs me and I wanted to ask you, maybe you paid more attention than me.
Is there a mention about the dog (or animals in general) in the magazine? I've read it briefly but I was too excited to pay attention to everything.

Yeah I would like to see a more destructible environment. I don't mean jacking a plane and destroying a building, but like being able to do visible damage to things when you crash into them, or throw a grenade at them. Like those indestructable black railings in IV, I reckon my Annihilator rotor should be powerful enough to destroy it.
This. I think we're a long way away from the frostbite engine coming to a GTA game (If it ever even happened, which it wouldnt) but flying 100 mph into a 1 inch thick tree should destroy the damn tree, not send me flying out of the windshield.
I'd love to be able to pick up more random objects like crates. I could make a badass fort.
If you mentioned trees you should also have also mention realistic trees. In GTA 4 and Saints Row The third the trees are horrible. They look like they're made out of paper. Is it that hard to make some realistic trees?

I agree with Thug, although I think a short gameplay demo would be great But still make sure not too much is given away.
I agree with Thug as well. I wanna see gameplay. What I think we will get before some gameplay is another trailer to reveal characters followed by some info. Then maybe actual gameplay footy.
I also agree with Thug (), I really hope they release the second trailer before New Year's Eve. If not, I'll settle down with the map and some screenshots.

if the protagonist wasnt a big 8 foot black guy who smokes crack and all the missions are for crack cocaine and a little bit of money spent on more crack cocaine
I want to play as Chris Nolan's Bane. And the city to be Gotham.
Not.

Guys, think about this: GTA V will be in a parallel univers, where the other protagonists would not make any sense and also R*'s tendency is not to use previous protagonists.

I know this is a longshot but this is just for something to do when you complete the game- zombie mode. you know where im going with this, survive for as long as you can solo or with friends against zombies of all kinds of people in gta. i know it seems easy but it would be harder if there were different difficulties like say the easiest would be where use any type of vehicle and the hardest being that you are on foot the whole time. also lots of customization, buying property, new cars and stores that are all able to go into, epic missions.
You could try Saint's Row The Third for that (zombies). I really want the GTA V to mantain it's seriousness. (but have some funny/nice cheats)

I think there should be at least one city other than LS and an occational small town.
Yours sincerely, A fine gentleman with an iPhone.
There might me more than one village or countryside town (like in SA) since they mentioned the countryside (and I don't think they would just make a big area with trees/grass/hills without some inhabited area).
-
This is a dumb thread. Read the other threads before starting a new one...
-
Okay from the top of my head:
- a vast countryside
- K-DST radio station
- bycicles
- the ability to take pictures
- driving school
- easter eggs
Basically everything what made SA that awesome.
Agreed. GTA 4 has better graphics and is more realistic but SA was way more fun. It would be great also if some of SA's cheats would return (like never dying or never get chased by the police / fun mode).
-
Doing drive byes on this:
Not so badass.
-
I would hate to not see the "never die" and "never get arrested" cheats included in GTA V. I loved to hit people & cause mayhem after I finished the missions without getting shot at by the police in San Andreas.

I think that "Ned" is one of those guys we will receive contracts from. we won´t be able to play him. come on, a guy who´s about 45 years old as main character? naaaahhh.. where´s the "magic thing"?
Liam Neeson is 59 and he still plays badass characters that fight, run, shoot guns and no one complains... Also, I know some guys that are 40-50 years old and more energetic than a lot of younger guys.
-
Almost like he's being questioned by the cops?
Plausible. Or maybe, he's old now (and the guy that's jogging on the pier is him, 10-15 years younger - the one we'll be playing with) and tells the story of his life/moving to his children. (HIMYM style).
-
I'm going to bounce this one off the wall and say that the voice over we hear in the trailer is a sarcastic monologue by the character as he explains what he's doing in this part of town. I'm more than likely to be wrong in this, but it could be an interesting thought to entertain.
Now if I really think about it, his tone does sound pretty sarcastic.

I actually know a guy who can speak, read, and write fluently in five languages, but put him in front of a computer and you won't be able to read a thing he types.
But, on topic, I like your idea. All other GTA protagonists were already criminals, so I like your idea of a guy earning a living legitimately and being forced into a life of crime.
Haha, I can speak german, spanish, italian, few words/sentences in russian and some in ukranian but I'm best at writing in english.
Regarding the story prediction/anticipation and gameplay hopes, Rockstar should definitely check this forum out and pick some ideas from here.
-
I have no idea why you're apologizing, your English is great. Which is sad, considering that we have American and English members who couldn't form a coherent sentence to save their lives.
Thanks. We also that kind of people in my country (which are beaten hard by the grammer of their own language).

The old dude (Ned) looks more like a CEO/boss of a big corporation (maybe he's the ceo of the company for which the skyscraper is built?) rather than a mob boss.
He's a family guy and moved with his wife to Los Santos to build a new headquarter/office building for the corporation he owns and maybe have some kids, but the company becomes bankrupt, his wife gets pregnant and poor Ned needs to do nasty stuff so he can take care of his family.
I have a rich imagination... but I would kinda like to see that in the game. It would give realism and passion to it.
Sorry 'bout my english, it's not my native language.

IMO, a huge Los Santos that looks alive, some countryside with different terrain types and a good looking (hikeable) mountain should be enough.
I bet there will be a lot of missions throughout the countryside/mountain and a lot of stuff to do (messing with campers, finding easter eggs, bike challenges, maybe fishing/hunting (but this is pretty unlikely).
-
Hello everyone. I've been checking this forum for a while but now I decided to register.
I would love to see a realistic story, with a character you can really empathize with. I wanna feel sad when something bad happens to him or his friends/family. I want the story/cutscenes to give you that feeling that a good drama/action movie gives you.

Thanks. Hmm.. it's kinda of weird that they didn't mention it because animals are a new 'thing' (dogs, cows not pidgeons/sea animals). It's even weirded when they release an artwork with one of the protagonists next to a dog and then act like they that never happened. I hope in the second trailer they will clear this out.
edit: Thank Marcus.. so that pretty much confirms that dogs are in the game but they still don't mention if they are a ''weapon'' or a security method for properties or just a pet.
