  1. then i would just like 120px-Independencefm.png on my console version having mp3's wma's and ogg,s played ingame with commercials inbetween like ik gta iv etc would be better with radio streams though :P

Independence FM on the console would be awesome! Radio streams would kinda break the immersion for me, I'd miss how they talk about what's going on in town and Pißwasser commercials. :D

  2. Hey guys,

I've been looking for a game to ease the wait for GTA 5, and I found it - Drive!

What's Drive? It's basically a playground/sandbox type game with softbody physics, which basically means, it makes the car crashes look realistic. You've probably watched a few of those fake GTA videos, some of these might have been from this game.

Well you can't really call this a game yet, it's an alpha so there's still a lot of bugfixing to do.

The best thing is, you can download a free tech demo and try it out for yourself. Dunno if it's allowed to post links here, but you can easilly find it on google. (The alpha costs 11,50€)

I was sceptical at the beginning, but it's so addictive to crash into something and see the deformation in slow motion. (hotkey alt+arrow down)

Let me know if you played this game and how you like it.

I haven't found a topic about this game so I hope it's ok to open this thread.

Here's a crash compilation video I made, check it out:

  3. So do you think the hardware of the PS4 is brilliant/good/average/meh by todays standards ?

With a ranking system of 1 to 10. And with 1 being an old Atari 400, and 10 being a top of the line Gaming PC with something like a GTX 780 Graphics Card.

I would say that the PS4 is about a 7.5, and on the same ranking system I would only give the Xbox One about a 6.5.

The X1 is pathetically weak compared to the top of the range stuff that you can see today.

Hey, atleast it can watch NFL, no? ;)

I wanna see some actual gameplay @E3, on both systems.

Especially Capcom's Deep Down on PS4.

  4. First of all: DuPz0r your work is freakin amazing, very creative.

I wanna know if anyone else thinks that the 8 gb of GDDR5 in the PS4 are very powerful?

Let's compare it to my pc, where I have my good ol' Radeon 6950HD installed, it has a system clock of 800mhz/1250mhz RAM clock and 2 gb GDDR5.

I can only imagine what the PS4 is capable of, with 4 times the VRAM.

The only thing that's weird, is the terraflops, where my Radeon has 2,25 TFLOPs and the PS3's gpu 1.84 TFLOPs. So in terms of computing power it seems to be less powerfull, maybe some tech guy here can explain it to me?

There are a lot of pro-pc guys which say that the PS4 is already outdated, I always protect it by saying that it's actually quite impressive. And fact is, that consoles don't need that much RAM to play high quality games. The PS3 only has like 256mb of DDR3, look what it's capable of. A pc couldn't even install Windows XP with a mere 256mb, I remember that time. :)

Of course GDDR5 and DDR3 have completely different tasks, so I don't know exactly how it's gonna work with only video RAM?

With the Teraflops part, the 1.84 TFLOPS is just a base line measurement. The PS4 will obviously be overclocked, and will therefore be able to achieve much higher numbers.

So do you think the hardware of the PS4 is brilliant/good/average/meh by todays standards ?

  5. On the other hand I see that you're referring to the US dollar pricing, but I live in Europe and GTA V wont cost me 60 us dollars, it will cost me 70€, that's 90$ for the standard version. The collectors will be 150€/194$. So is it worth to buy it if I only want the exclusive vehicles? That's heavy.

You Europeans and your high cost of living... :) Salutations from across the pond!

What I was trying to say is that the cost for a standard edition of GTA V is in line with the cost of other games. Is 70€ a standard price for a PS3/XBox game over there? Suddenly everything in the US feels like a steal!

Haha! I know right? And we haven't talked about the gas prices yet. ;)

New games are around 60-70€ yeah, depends on the shop. Then I have to pay an extra fee of 5€ for shipment of 18+ titles when I order @ Amazon.

Good news is I just got an email from Amazon, they price the Collector's at 130€.Standard still 69.99 though. :P

  7. You forgot Project Gotham Racing 3(and later 4) and Lost Odyssey, those games made me buy the 360 at launch. :P

Xbox One conference was the biggest disappointement in my gaming history. lol

Screw M$, unless they show the best game lineup at E3, but I'm not expecting it. Hoping for Sony to win my heart.

  8. @Mr. Mister

I appreciate your opinion and I have nothing against supporting good companies like R*. I will be playing GTA V on day one, no matter what and yes, the game will be worth it, even without the exclusive content.

  9. Yo guys I had some weird little issue with my 360 yesterday, dunno where else to post it. so:

I started it up and got a white screen with a text in different languages saying something like "Error 66(or 606) please repair..blabla", then I looked at the ring/start up button and it was blinking red, only in the lower right corner, not like the usual red ring of death I had with my first 360 in 06.

Then I restarted it and everything worked fine since then. I googled for the error code and xbox.com support only said "please send in your console, it needs to be repaired" lol.

    Anybody else got that experience?

  10. I thought this through and came to the conclusion that this is all bullshit.

There's a reason why I never payed so much for a special edition of GTA, but this time Rockstar is forcing me to, cause I don't wanna miss out any content.

The reason is that I always end up buying the game 2 times, one for console at launch, and then the PC version later. I've been doing this since GTA 3 and I don't like the fact that Rockstar Games jumped on the bandwagon of day one dlc(disc locked content) like all the other big companies.
