  1. Well some of the old characters are mentioned in other GTA's, such as the Vances, Rosenberg, Diaz, Phil Cassidy... ETC ETC, but making a third Vice city is less likely then a second San Andreas, But if Vice City does return, I believe the Characters from the previous Vice City's will be mentioned, Well except the Vances, and Diaz. Same goes for a new SA, Old character references, Apperences may be questionable.

And what ever happened to love fist?

What makes you say it would be a third vice city and a second San Andreas? All three cities were in the same game (top down gta) and liberty has been done twice since. Vice and San Andreas once each since the first.

Also maybe I missed some but apart from l lazlow were there any mentions of any old liberty ci characters? As far as I can tell the events of gta 3 should only just be happening towards the end of gta IV. Timeline wise.

  2. We all know the reasons vice city is a potential for the next city in the gta IV trilogy, just a few thoughts about if it is vice city again.

Firstly, what would they call it. It can't exactly be gta:vice city, gta4:vice city or gta:vice city 2. All those names are a bit "lame" for gta's history.

What do you think they could name it?

I was thinking that maybe there would be a name for the area surrounding vice city itself.

Maybe Grand Theft Auto: Diamond Key.

Like they could do a San Andreas of sorts, and give us the entire state of Florida, or their adaptation of it.

Maybe we can have Vice City, a little bit of the Everglades national park (or , a key/chain of islands to the south and a bahamas island you can fly too (or maybe a super speedy drug trafficking boat).

This way they can name it something new I.e their made up name of the state and still do a new vice city.

What does everyone think of the larger areas? I for one had no problem with the smaller liberty city, but alot of people much prefer the big san Andreas area.

The other thing to consider is the time frame? It's hard to look at vice city as anything but the 80's. But if bad boys has taught us anything, and it certainly has cause it kicks ass, it's that Miami can still be cool in the present day. Think Miami vice with Colin Farrell aswell... And don't tell me how much you hate either of those movies, just pay attention to the crime and drug dealing involved in both and imagine the potential for vice 2.

  3. They are just adapting the old map onto the rage game engine though.

I want to see the story, missions, character etc. In the gta IV liberty city.

P.s speaking of hd remaking the gang cars I was playing IV today and there is actually a sentinel with the black slats on the back of the windows.

    I wish I knew coding.

  4. from now until july 31st (11:59pm EST), chinatown wars and beaterator are on sale in the itunes app store... i am downloading them right now becuase i was waiting for them to go on sale... chinatown wars is $2.99 and beaterator is $0.99... easily a GREAT value... i've heard a lot of good things about chinatown wars and for $2.99, you can't beat that deal...

looking forward to trying it out later today...

or you could jail break your ipod like any other law abiding citizen who could care less about reading Apple's 13 page rules and regulations ohmy.gif

what's jailbreak do?? allow you to download the games for free?? yea, thanks for ripping off the companies that worked hard on their games and apps... who cares what apple's user agreement says, my ipod does everything i need it to do, i don't need it jailbroken... honestly, i don't really care about tech as much as a lot of men do... men seem to jizz over tech... that's not the case with me... i don't want to break something that works perfectly fine...

and call me old school, but i like to support developers and actually buy their products instead of stealing it...

I'm not defending jail breakers because I don't personally do it but I think there see benefits other than free games. Maybe a jailbkreaker could clue us in.

As for supporting developers, it's funny, before my iPhone I always ripped pc games. I've never even considered not buying the apps. At a few dollars a pop it's something I can feel good about supporting. And they are usually more than worth the few dollars they cost.

  5. Long island, new York (liberty) 1920's maybe hints at absolutely nothing because rockstar are fans of fucking with us.

It is also worth mentioning that team bondi has gone under administration. I know two people who worked there have been let go. (according to them rockstar didn't like the whole team anyway and the team felt the same way about rockstar.) there were a lot of things the team wanted the game to be and rockstar being the producer took a bit too much creative control and the Australian team resented them for that.

Wether or not the company can pull through the administration remains to be seen, but Australian support towards video game development is piss poor. There's no industry here, not for potential employees or potential companies.

  6. You mean like make GTA III with RAGE? People are working on modding IV into San Andreas and Vice City already so only a matter of time.

More like fit the game into IV's version of liberty city.

Choose places to be yakuza, diablo, mafia turfs close to where they would be if you compared the two maps. Remake Claude and all the main character models and do all the cutscenes and missions inside the IV framework. So a separate game, using all of IV's city and game engine and stuff. Like salvadores house could be near faustins on the first island, give the diablos turf near the park and the arch area, yakuza in Algonquin.

Remodel the gangs cars onto the new versions, and then write all the missions through the new engine, so you can play the missions in new liberty.

Think columbian cartel in the construction site in Algonquin, and Donald love running for Mayer of Algonquin etc. It would take some thinking and some know how but I think it would be doable.

  7. That tunnel opened out just near the car showroom with the banshee inside. And near the car compacter. Soo many good memories.

Mafia sentinel, diablo stallion (with the flames) and yakuza stinger, and the cartel cruiser (the hummer). Man those were the days.

I would love someone clever to remake that to fit in the gta4 liberty. Like an expansion.

  8. I don't mind Europe, just have the game in English. London would be awsome.

I love London, I've been there (and almost got run over by a dozen cars because I saw to the LEFT side before crossing streets).

So I wish not to see the next GTA take place in left drive traffic.

Yo kno' how much time I spend driving when I first get started on a GTA game? If I survive in the game, I won't survive my local traffic after playing GTA for 18 hours straight. lol

I would rather race along Champs-Élysées, scale the Eiffel Tower for a good look-see and sniping spree.

Haha, roughly a month after gta came out I had something like that happen. Not straight out of playing, I'd driven around, went somewhere, got back into the car drove out of the car park onto the street and realized something didn't feel right shocked I was on the wrong side of the road. Drove for like 50m heaps shocked I'd pulled onto the wrong side of the road then got to a roundabout and it clicked that I was now on the wrong side of the road. Haha. I'd actually pulled out onto the street on the right side, but gta wired my brain to think i was wrong. Haha.

  9. I think an Hispanic character is plausible. I can imagine some crazed religious, santeria, voodoo character giving the protagonist hit missions at some point. Like sacrificial kills.

Like for the Haitians in vice city. I loved all that voodoo.

they should make the game be set in three places San Andreas (modern), Vice City (modern) and finally a made up place, im sure rockstar can create a great place which is made up.

I know what you mean, but I still want to say vice city and San Andreas are all made up aswell.

An Austrailian (or New Zealand) ex SAS man. Can't think of a plot.

Haha, being Australian I don't think I could take an australian lead seriously. Having said that, back story for an ex sas is easy, whole group of them go mercenary, theyve been running around for awhile doing that when a job comes up which requires them to kill woman or children or something, he refuses (cause we all love our feux morally righteous characters) and convinces the team to pull out. The paying person gets pissed off, kills most of your crew and your family so you set off all lone ranger to find him and f*ck the world on the way.

  10. ^^^

I would say exactly the same. My guess based on watching their hype building strategy for red dead, l.a noire and max Payne. They don't tend to double up on the hype. Always wait until the previous game is released then shortly after the. First sales numbers start dropping they start slowly releasing the next games info. This is a double edged sword, not giving you any hope of a next (insert game) so that you don't consider waiting for the next rockstar release.

Then the other side is they start releasing bits and pieces of the next game and you look at the just released game and the game coming out and realize theres bits in the just released game like the game coming out. "I'll get that game to tide me over till the game I'm waiting for."

Works pretty well according to all the rockstar games I've bought. Hahaha.

  11. Much like above. I have it, haunt touched it since. It's like a party full of people and everyone is standing on the wall not knowing what to do. As opposed to Facebook in this analogy being the college frat party.
