  1. Damn am i the only one still watching Dexter around here these days? I just got the latest book by Jeff Lindsay. So far so good. Regarding the final season episode 11:

Has Dex finally made the worst decision of his life, by doing the right thing and handing saxon over to the police? So suspesnded for the finale!

    I guess i am.

What a sad ending for Deb. I understand Dexter started a new life to protect his family, but they left it open giving us all hope that there could one day be another show!

I watched the series finale today - I got to say it was disappointing but there wasn't much else they could do.

The last 2 episodes were top notch. It's a shame this show has ended but better to end on a high I guess.

  2. @MainEvent. It's simple really. All you have to do is buy low and sell high ( just like it says in the game ). Except that the Stock Exchange in the game is better than any real-life counterpart, in that companies never go bankrupt, so if you wait long enough you will always make money ( you can't lose ). Some Missions ( like the Assassination Missions ) influence the market, and even doing some things while Free-Roaming can have an affect on stock prices as well. Like for instance blowing up Businesses Trucks/ Planes, or killing their employees and then investing in Rival Companies. Most of the Companies have a Major Rival. Some examples are ~ *Bean Machine - Cool Beans *Burger Shot - Up-An-Atom *Taco Bomb - Clucking Bell *Air Emu - Fly US *Bank of Liberty - MazeBank *GoPostal - Post OP etc... So if you screw around with one company it will positively affect the other. For instance blowing up a few "GoPostal" Vans with an RPG will improve the stock-value of "Post OP". Or using some Sticky Bombs to blow up some "Fly US" Planes at the Airport will raise the share-price of Air Emu.

I've completed the main game - maybe I haven't been playing long enough but where do you actually find the stuff to attack the rival company.

Burger Shot can't be entered so I can't rob them.

  3. I'm starting to think R* built this game mostly for online purposes, some of the features are not even that relevant in the main game like Strength and Stealth - like they didn't have a huge effect on the game.

Alternatively it's a fast-track method for people that don't have the time to grind money. I don't have an issue with that, as long as it doesn't give an unfair advantage. It depends what sort of scale we're talking about with cash and what you're able to do it. It's one solution to the issue with previous games where people who are able to spend hours and hours ranking up get a massive advantage over casual players/people just starting out. Let's wait and see first... Un-Rockstar-y or not, micro-transactions are worth a lot of money. Everyone is doing it.

True but they have at least made hundreds of millions in profit on sales alone- these micro transactions in online will tend to piss a lot of people off.

  4. I thought it could've been a bit longer, but maybe that's just because I enjoyed the missions.

Likewise, maybe because there was 3 characters they had to shorten the story but man 69 missions is not enough in my opinion considering they had 4/5 years with this thing.

I mean San Andreas had 105 missions and IV had 91 missions. To me the main story line is too short - they could have easily extended some aspects with each of the 3 characters. They kind of tried to have more side missions to detract from the short story-line but it is a little disappointing.

    Edit

    Also

The heists were over rated so much - I mean you hardly earn anything until the last mission which was annoying.

Only good thing was some side missions linked in with heists like getting drivers and gunment.
