  1. gonna have to buy a console... been thinking about it all night. not which is the best for gta? ps3 or xbox?

Gonna probably sound like a fanboy, but meh. In terms of value for money, there is no point buying an Xbox if you already have a decent PC; AFAIk, all Xbox "Exclusives" are out on PC except for Forza and Gears of War 3, I think. PS3 has way more exclusives and a Blu Ray player so it's well worth buying even if you're not going to use it as your main gaming system. Of course if you buy an Xbox you might get the DLC a bit sooner, but you will have to pay for the priviledge.

"From the top of the mountains to the depths of the ocean!"

Maybe you can dive and stuff. ^_^

    Thats what i said

What does everyone else think? Would you want the ability to dive? And for what purpose

Go to the beach and catch crabs? that's what happened to me last time i went to Southern CA...

You don't need to go to a beach to catch crabs. :P

  2. Any similarity is only because the developers of WarZ decided to steal most of their ideas (including the title) from the creators of DayZ. And unlike CoD, the developers have no affiliation with each other.

  3. Except the only really gritty GTA was GTA lV. Was 1, 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Both VC & LC Stories and Chinatown Wars?

And Saints Row is Over-The -Top like Tarantinos Movies, but it is also completely ridiculous with little to no underlying subtext to drive it's story and themes. This is very different to Tarantino's movies which have a rich subtext rife with double entendres and hidden meanings, polished with ulta suave & cool pop-culture music, clothing design, set design, original characters and themes ( some are borrowed ). Tarantino is also a great writer of screenplay's with plenty of great memorable lines that are very off-the-cuff and original ( he incourages alot of improvisation from the actors ), which is very different to Saint Row's Unoriginal Toilet Humour, and basic dialogue ( it's only a game but ).

It's also a little bit unfair to say that a director only has one particular style. One of the most important goals for many directors is to always try something new with each and every movie they make. Scorsese has had more time ( since the 60's/ 70's ) to make a more consumate dirctorial library, he is 69 by the way, and is starting into the twilight of his film making career. Whereas Tarantino is only 49 and has plenty of time to try different approaches to his craft. He has already made movies like Jackie Brown for instance that are more reminiscent of an older and more experienced director, and that was only his third film. I expect great movies from him in the future. Even with his lackluster ( compared to his older films ) latest entries.

Except the analogy is there to illustrate how the games contrast with each other (in a very general sense), the games needn't be identical in tone to the films for the analogy to stand up. Anyway this is getting way off-topic so I'll just leave it there and agree to disagree.
