  1. She sounds, erm...

Olivia is a complex character. She is confident in her abilities, but has terrible social skills and is often found alone, brooding about the office in her stylish leather jacket with a feather-frilled collar. To pay the medical bills while her true love sits trapped in a trance at the mercy of an evil Sorceress from the future, she works as an Editorial Assistant here at GamePro. What the future holds for Olivia is epic, to say the least: not only will she be spending her post-college career fighting monsters across a vast and varied landscape, she’ll also experience a weightless journey into space, the fabled Time-Compression, and what it’s like to be at the helm of the Ragnarok. In her lifetime, Olivia will grow not only as an individual, but as a member of a community destined to save the world. She has never played Final Fantasy VIII and any similarities to her life and Squall’s are simply coincidental.

  2. My theory on multiple protagonists is that it could be set in 2 different time periods. In the 70's you play as a gangster building up an empire in Las Venturas (casinos etc), then fast forward to modern day and you play as someone else who is starting from the bottom trying to take over... Or something... :ermm:

This could be similar to The Godfather II, where you see the story of his father and then his own develop. But, difference here is that The Godfather II is a sequel, and the previous movie is very much required to tell the story of the second. Although, R* are known for taking influence from movies.

  3. Report: New Xbox to Launch in 2013

While previous rumors hinted at a 2012 reveal for the next Xbox, new reports indicate that it may be held off until 2013. Develop has heard from multiple industry sources, including chip manufacturers and middleware firms, that the console's reveal will come at E3 2013, with a late 2013 launch to follow.

The launch would likely be simultaneous for all territories, but that doesn't necessarily rule out a 2014 release in some countries. The initial launch is expected to come by the 2013 holiday season, but few analysts expect it to come any earlier than that.

Develop also reports on several other rumors that lend credibility to an upcoming console launch. Namely that Lionhead Studios is currently working on a project known internally as Fable Next, which is expected to launch on a new console. Another source reports that EA has rudimentary next-generation console technology already (which EA has denied).

For now, all of these are rumors, and Microsoft has declined to comment on any of them. If a new console does launch in late 2013, it would coincide with the predicted 2014 release Unreal Engine 4, which Epic CEO Tim Sweeney told us about last month.

So, I would definitely like to see a new console, but I feel that they were just starting to get the best out of the current hardware. I suppose we will have to see if this is even true, because I do recall both Sony and Microsoft claiming a life span of 10 years for their consoles, at the moment they're only about 6 years old.

  4. yup, i bought arkham asylum for $20 last year, but i never beat it... i got to the fight with ivy but never actually fought her... i want to beat arkham asylum before i get arkham city... so, sometime next year then??

fuck, i am finding it hard to keep up with all these games that are about to come out... arkham city, skyrim, SR3, uncharted 3, assassins creed revelations, and probably some others too... then there's the games i already haven't played like RAGE... my life is running out of room for a bunch of video games these days :(...

Dude, I feel exactly the same way, so many games that I need to catch up on as well! Still haven't played SR2 or Assassins Creed Brotherhood <_<

I suppose it's only like this because most major releases are at the end of the year. As soon as the gaming drought hits though, we'll be able to make up for lost ground.
