I think L.S. stretches south further than that.

And what's "Grapeseed"? Is it just a logo or is it a landmark?

I was generous in the distances on that map. It could still be smaller. The distances from the observatory to the Vincent Thomas bridge, oil well to Bank Tower, observatory to Bank Tower, and dam to Bank Tower could all be closer. Look at the pictures below and compare the distances between the points to the map I made. I added extra distance.

Probably nothing but at least it gives the fanboys something to fap over.

*Jizzes for no reasons*

That would make GTA V's map look dwarf. It would probably take 10 years to create, unless they double the development team and production budget (Which they probably could/would knowing R*'s passion for games)

Could totally do it, Use GTA IV/V's map for Liberty City and Los Santos and then just re-create Vice City. 2/3's of the map development would be done

Yeah, i would roll with that. As long as they did some re-texturing and improved lighting, so the world looks slightly different. New characters, music and themes... It's enough to hook me imo.

All they would really need to do is implement IceEnhancer and updated music and addthe New led lights atop of the empire state building.

I think Pud's right with the location of Grapeseed.

when you look closer to the right of the highway picture, just behind the power pole is the 3rd mountain visible all to the left of the grapeseed picture.

certainly to the west of the highway/prison/desert airstrip area

New theory I'm looking at

I don't know if you are right but I like this theory.

  • same kind of buildings
  • same kind of wide street with same grass strips in the middle

This is not the first time I read something about the similarities of these buildings in both trailers. In addition, after the first trailer, a member of GTAforums noted similar roofs in the "balcony scene" in the south of LS (to the right from Michael) so it was a possible location of chase scene.

I don't agree with the road 2 in the first trailer but it doesn't matter, it's minor.

I made a "synthesis" of your theory on the image below not to force people to watch the original screenshots to understand.

Slauson Super Mall in Chesterfield Square area:

99% certain that's the mile high club behind it so this building is much closer to Downtown in GTA V than real life and on the wrong side of the Coliseum.

Wow! very good eye to spot that, although i don't think thats the mile high club in the background.

when I saw these news earlier today, my first thought with all these anniversary releases in mind, was to give III and VC a technical revision and pair it with SA. most ppl jizz anyways when they here VC and SA. And considering the small visit to III era LC in SA, why not.

even current gen consoles would be able to handle a combined III era world rendered to SA's quality.

for a whole new, state of the art GTA game of these dimensions, I fear we're downloading for weeks or get to swap blurays back and forth a trillion times

With today's technology yes. But with HVDs and SVODs on the horizon and probably further refinements after those in the next decade it could easily be a reality.

Well, there are no walls, so, unless they've decided to make the world's tallest parking garage, that would have to be the Mile High Club.

Yeah true, now that i look at it properly i was wrong earlier on...woops

GTA5 coliseum is very round and may be a mix of L.A. Memorial Coliseum and Inglewood Forum

and the forum is not so far from Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and Slauson Super Mail, IRL and in GTAV.

Inglewood seems to be the part of Los Santos between downtown and the port.

People, do you recognize that all those screenshots show you only one edge of the map ? and it is the Los santos, you cant estimate map size knowing only where and how big is LS. We have no clue even what is north of los santos aswell as south, only a glimpse what can be behind the Vinewood hills.

If you pay attention to the screenshots, trailers, and the analyses that are all over this topic, you'll see that they absolutely can estimate map size. Fitty, especially.

It's not hard to figure all that out, if you know what you're doing.
