I don't remember disagreeing about that. I don't think I ever supported Venturas as its own game. I might have been against a Venturas DLC at some point, though.

San Fierro will be better as its own game than Venturas.

They could add on a reduced size Venturas for some sort of gambling DLC, or they could just have casinos in Los Santos

I think they'll have casinos in LS. I hope they add the Crystal of Compton, CA.

Liar's Dice (more commonly played as a card game) was never a casino game. How it appears in RDR is how it originated. It was a game usually played by criminals and lowlifes, because Liar's Dice requires a bit of intellect and is easy to scam people with.

Can't believe we were talking about a new destination, 'V isn't even out yet... What happened, the hype wear off?

People have been talking about SF and LV being included as soon as they found out it was San Andreas.

The previews answered a lot of questions. Not much to speculate about I guess.

No shit. But i was talking about recent discussion above, since we've seen the new trailers, and read/watched the previews. People are again, starting to realise it is only LS and surrounding country (even though it was confirmed a very long time ago) and are trying to think of other ways for extra cities to be in the game, when it wont happen. There's people in this thread doing amazing analysis and have managed to construct a visually accurate (accurate being that they're using different techniques and finds, and still managing to get a similar outcome) map from images of the game, and there's no sign of any other city to date, so i don't expect we'll see much more...

I'd be happy playing GTA V if it only contained what we've seen so far, and no more. The game already looks like it has enough to keep me playing for at least a couple of years.

I was thinking of LV because of the casino heist...but my time in Las Vegas I learned that it isn't that exciting of a city and apart from a casino heist, there would be nothing else interesting about Las Venturas. Unless you cared about meth, but apparently they've got that covered in Los Santos anyway...I'm not making any sense.

Final map update:

Tnkg3Do.png

Wow that's a lot of desert/mountain area, do you think we'll have a lot of small towns out in the country. Like in SA but with many more, and possibly some halfway up a mountain?

Also, Liberty City looks fucking tiny, imagine LC from III compared with LC from IV!

Almost definitely. Like the one in Trevor's trailer.

I know that, but they were talking about DLC not the actual game.

I forgot where I read it, but I know I read one of those articles on the 2nd describe Los Santos West on the map and Blaine county was to the extreme East (or maybe it was the other way around)...so what's going to be North and South? Has anyone else noticed that the only few photos we've gotten of the wine country was the viewfinders released with the pre-order of the game as a Target exclusive? This one:

This image doesn't have a Blaine County feel to it...or maybe I should get a Blaine County feel from it because of how rural it is. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if Blaine County occupies one extreme of the map and Los Santos represents the other, then what lies North? or South? Does anybody else get a feeling that Rockstar still has one or two very BIG cards they're holding close to their chest? Waiting to play their 'ace card', so to speak, closer to the game's release date? Like another large area of the map they're not talking about?

I'm not trying to say San Fierro or Las Venturas is in the game, don't get me mixed up with those guys, but I still have my reservations about another small town, somewhere snow-covered, somewhere high up in the mountains where players can ski...

...and damnit did I really want a Mexico and a Mexican border...

They said the game was 3.5 times the size of rdr landwise, so i dont think based on the shots there is a whole lot of extra space that hasnt been accounted for.

Los santos looks like the entire liberty city...

Grapeseed seems to be modeled after the grapevine IRL. I could imagine that would fit snugly in a valley (or a pass I guess) among the mountains between LS and BC.

TF pointed out that in Trevor's trailer, as Trevor's biplane cuts through the skies over the river, some vineyard is visible in the right half of the FOV.
