L.A. Noire

Recommended Posts

carruthers is one cool customer... one of the best characters in the game... he takes his job serious, but also has a laid back approach, as if he's seen it all and nothing during LA noire surprises him...

i am going trophy hunting today... time to get back to LA and see what i can accomplish today...

You didn't bother with hidden cars? are you fucking mental. The hidden cars are fucking amazing and it only takes 1/2 a second to get one. Set a marker and make ur partner drive to one.

Hidden cars? :D yay i was hoping for something like that! the first run-through i'm sticking with the fed runners just to get me around, but I'm sure I'll unlock a nice hotrod or two when i get the chance! (hopefully)

The missus loves L.A. Noire so much she's one case ahead of me. I've just got control of the controller again and am starting a new game with all clue cues off, besides, first hour of my first game I just caused havoc running everyone over and going off-road. Thought starting a new game would have put my stats on Social Club back to zero but it hasn't.

that's what i thought when i unlocked it... there's a couple of mafia looking outfits...

well to update my current game, i am 81% complete, 65-some vehicles driven, 32 police calls answered, 15 landmarks discovered, 47% of the trophies collected (half of the remaining are DLC ones), still 0 film canisters found, all of traffic cases 5-starred, and 2 homicide cases with 5-stars... yup...

Was that the case with the grocery store Jamie?

I had a problem with that case. Every time i went to the freshly picked grocery store it was closed, so it wasn't until i went to all the other locations i could go back. so by the time i went back i had already ripped the shit out of the husband and i think i chose two wrong answers, so i had to chase the douche out of the store and half way down the street! I got it in the neck big time from Captain Donnelly!

P.S. Nice attire b0nEs^

yea, there are some interesting suspects at the homicide desk... there is so much going on at once that it's easy to cloud your judgement and make wrong accusations... i am finding that out when i replay just how wrong i was on a couple of missions...

So what are the point of the hidden cars? I mean if you take them do you automatically get to keep it as your own car that spawns outside the station? Do they have sirens? I haven't even bothered taking one as I thought it would be stealing, and that'd be wrong y'know.

I'm halfway through the vice desk at the mo', but I think homicide would've been better as the last desk.

The homicide case with the pedo at the school - I interviewed the husband at the station, then went to interview the pedo. After interviewing him I was going to go back and question the husband again, but I got a cutscene of him running out of the station. After that it automatically charged the husband with the murder and I got a bollocking for something or other that I did wrong. (I was going to charge the pedo.)

Still on the "Silk Stocking Murder" myself, letting the wife carry on with her game for a bit. My eyes have gone fucking square.

i just replayed the butterfly case before i went golfing today...

after replaying the mission it was hard to book the pedo and actually be right in this case... it still feels like the husband was the victim but the pedo looks better in the papers... why the hell would a pedo care about a girl of age?? also, this is the mission with the big clue for those that are past this desk... you wouldn't even know what i was talking about unless you've passed homicide... it's still nearly impossible to pick up replaying it...

Had a few piles of bricks and barriers sporn after I hit them. Pretty sure I've had music playing in a patrol car and civilian cars with a siren instead of horn but I could be mistaken.

Only glitch i've noticed is some interior parts take a while to load during cutscenes, and when a character walks past the missing texture piece or if the camera pans round you get a blue hell like you do when you fall below the map in GTA, with the image of the character or other texture pieces superimposed on the blank background.

Only glitch I've come across is sometimes the face animations pop to static mesh and they look fucking freaky going from a full animate face to a default emotionless static pose! It has happened during cut scenes and whilst interrogating sometimes too xD
