Story IS very short. 69 missions, and at least 3 of them are "go here and buy something, boom end of mission" 2 minute long things

And some of those missions have lasted me almost an hour.

I've just finished the story and my list of dislikes are similar to everyone elses:

- The story was short. I really enjoyed it, it was so much better than IV's story but it could have been a little longer;

- The missions weren't much of a challenge. I was challenged really on two missions and both were largely due to my impatience more than being actually difficult. I thought I'd read somewhere that you were going to be forced to think a little more but I didn't find that at all;

- Some of the missions, as mentioned, weren't really mission-worthy, such as buying the masks. It cheapens the achievement of completing a mission;

- Unable to enter food outlets. It was also mentioned about the Burger Shot guy in IV whom I also liked. I was surprised and disappointed that you couldn't go inside to either replenish your health or even rob them;

- The casino and racetrack... I'm going to assume these will play a major part in GTAO;

- There are 'for sale' signs and real estate websites and they play no part in the game. Another element I'm expecting to play a role in GTAO; and

- The special for each protag was largely useless. Once I got used to the driving (no, it didn't suck!) I rarely used Franklin's ability, I didn't use Michael's until late in the game and I tried Trevor's early but it didn't really have much use for me so I stopped using it.

It was an excellent game in all and these are fairly minor things in the scheme of things but certainly areas of improvement.

^GTA V is taking a backseat to GTAO and I don't like it. I rather not have to play online to get the most out of this game.

perfectly sums up my feeling so far. but that's the pain of recent times, everyone is totally nuts with multiplayer mmo social gaming bullshit.

If I want multiplayer mmo social gaming bullshit, I invite real people to my real crib and do real things like playing monopoly or get wasted on brew and fastfood watching cheap comedy. period.

There's so much differences between GTAV and GTAO with V falling behind, they should've broken them into 2 unique games instead of this questionable mix, so V could stand out more.

But let's wait and see what the eventual DLC(s) bring us.

the vehicle balancing is also sort of off to me. I already bitched about the amount of BeeJays. same account for Sentinel XS and Stratums for my game, San Andreas is full of them, while on the other hand, the list of vehicles I haven't seen is certainly long, especially outside missions. I don't wanna exaggerate, but judging from the vehicle list on this site, I've only seen a little over half the available cars roaming the streets unless they're a mission objective.

Now I'm getting into this a little deeper I'm worried about how easy I'm finding everything... Missions haven't been a stretch to complete at all... Using vehicles as most people have noted is easy and the chances of dying or failing anything I attempt seems to be very slim. While some people like this, I don't. I like a challenge and so far this isn't. I'll admit I'm not that deep into the game yet so I hope it gets tougher. Perhaps for future GTA's a "Difficulty" setting would be a nice addition.

Turn off the radar. Far more challenging (and cinematic) that way.

No water/aircraft customization?

Yeah, what happened to that?

I wanted Flares and Electronic Countermeasures for my P-996 Lazer Fighter Jet ( could of made stealing it from Fort Zancudo much easier ).

Also a Hot-Pink Paintjob for my Submersible would of been nice as well :P ...

Yeah I could have sworn that the they said their would be air craft and water craft customization.

Yes it took me an hour... of course not smart ass. I never said the boiler suit mission took me an hour. I was referring to other missions in the game.

what really bothers me about the missions are the heist themselves. I just wish there were a few more of them.

Not being able to walk into people and make them fall down stairs, cliffsides, etc.

That feature was in GTA IV and RDR, so I don't understand why they decided to take it out in GTA V . .

It's in V aswell, you just have to run or jump into them now.

Yea, but it's nowhere near as fun as it was in IV.

It also made the game see more real than just walking into a person that doesn't move...unless it's to pull out the phone and call the cops on you.

I hate that feature of the game. All I have to do is say one negative thing to an NPC, and they pull out their phone and call the cops on me, giving me a 1 Star Wanted Level.

And if I kill them before they make the call, I get 1 Star anyway <_< ...

There is no car collecting.

In GTA III and Vice City, there were massive lists of cars to collect and bring to the garage. In San Andreas there was the export import dock. In IV there was Brucie and Stevie's missions for car collecting which wasn't as good. So in GTAV I was hoping they would bring back the car collecting. But the only car collection mission is the 5 cars you have to bring to the Epsilon garage.

Kinda disappointing

I thought the car collecting was fun; especially for the super rare cars.

Downside to this was whenever you actually found the rare car and started driving it you started seeing the car literally EVERYWHERE.

One thing I dislike is that the Machine Guns and Spike Dropper are not in the Free-Roam version of the Deubauchee JB 700 ( the DB-5 like James Bond car ).

Also you can't find or purchase the Juggernaut Armour ( from the Heist Mission in Paleto Bay ) while in Free-Roam either.

Imagine going on a rampage against the cops in the Juggernaut Suit, or using the Deubauchee JB 700 during a Street Race and deploying the Spikes to puncture the tyres of the Drivers behind you. Why does Rockstar keep leaving out cool stuff like this? When they could easily have Free-Roam versions of them as well.

Once used in the mission they should of been unlocked for use in Free-Roam.

It's like going and doing the Area 69 mission in GTA San Andreas and not receiving the Jet-Pack as a reward afterwards. It's just plain stupid.

^^^ ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Also another minor annoyance is the lack of gloves. I thought that there would be fingerless gloves in the game, seeing as they were seen in one of the pre-release screenshots.

They could of made Michael and Franklin look more like Assassins/ Hitmen ( especially when wearing a suit ).

My list of dislikes... it's long:

Gameplay/Police

- Sneaking is a useless feature outside of missions, you can be out in the woods and if you kill someone with a silenced rifle, you get 1 star immediately.

- Police, the all seeing eye. Blow up your car on top of a mountain and bam, sherrif SUVs everywhere.

- Sometimes it takes longer to get rid of a 1 star level than a 3 star level.

- Let's say you steal a cop car, get 2 stars and you're being chased. The cops get a turbo boost to pile your car from behind, even though it's the same performance car that they are using.

- Pedestrians call the police for the sole fact that you are standing next to them. Not always, but it does happen.

- When you get attacked by some gangmember or just angry pedestrians, and you knock them out in self defense = wanted level.

Vehicles/Traffic

- Traffic diversity is not good, even though the game offers many different cars, I mostly encounter the same vehicles all over again.

LS is full of Beejays, Oracles, Felon GTs and it's been 70 hours play time since I saw a Futo or Sabre.

It is very frustrating to get one special vehicle that you like, I don't get it why we can't just buy all the cars online.

- Lack of garage spaces, I am very disappointed that we can't buy larger garages. That might be reserved for online though.

- Cars that were saved in the special garage don't respawn, helicopters and planes do, why the inconsistency?

- Why is it only possible to lower the suspension, it would make more sense for certain cars like Bobcat XL to raise their ride height.

Graphics/Interiors

- Lack of places to rob outside of missions, I saw many unused interiors, like Fleeca Bank, maybe online only.

- Polycount on recycled vehicles from GTA IV is low, compare the wheels of a Banshee with wheels that you can buy at LS Customs and count the edges.

- Texture quality reaches from good to low ps2 standards. Not a joke.

There is plenty more, but this is enough for now.

Amazing game regardless.

I hate that we can rotate our cars in midair. We can now adjust how we are going to land, which makes doing stunts (the number one GTA past time) completely pointless. If we are guaranteed to land perfecty everytime, there's no risk or skill required to pull of a jump.

ALSO it's annoying! When I'm driving intensely and the car gets just slighty airborn, the rotatycarinmidair kicks in and so I try turning the wheels left a little, the car rotates onto it's roof.

Fist fighting is pointless because you punch someone and 20 seconds later, cops are shooting at you. They put batons in the game, why don't cops use them? Come on Rockstar!

Also, if you punch a cop now, you get an inmediate 3 star wanted level.
