I'll have to give The Mechanic a watch. I thought Killer Elite was pretty good too. Epic fight scene between Jason Statham and Clive Owen.

The heist in Rocknrolla is one of my favourites, the Russians were friggin' mean.

Just watched Takers (2010). It has GTAV written all over it, perfect vibe. If you haven't seen it, go watch it!

Love that movie. Excellent example of a GTA-esque movie, excellent example of a heist movie, excellent all around. Even Hayden Christensen wasn't as awful as usual.

Also, any movie where Idris Elba uses his real accent is more than likely going to be epic.

I'll have to check out Takers then, I have been making my way through the list and I must say its getting me hyped for when we can plan and pull them off. I thought town was particularly good and you can't beat lockstock or snatch. Oceans 11 was acceptable but any of the sequels suck balls. I simply cannot wait for a well planned heist to go successfully and just drive off into the mountains cigar in mouth.....

Wanna see Christopher Walken play Sean and Chris Penn's father in a heist movie? Then watch "At Close Range." It covers more of Trevor's lifestyle as it's set in rural America. The middle of the film is when the heists take place, so don't expect an immediate dive into criminal behavior.

You could rob someone's luxury cabin hideaway, have a backwoods hideout, pot fields, and so much more. Also, Trevor says all guns and drugs in the area go through him.

Maybe something from the mining days - old mine shaft that has an undiscovered payload or used as a stash point for a rival criminal group - although most of the gold rush was in the northern areas of Cali there are mines like Castle Mountain, Rand or Briggs that may fit the wider Los Santos landscape.

A large pit mine would be an awesome stunting arena

I like the mine idea. I thought the mine mission in RDR was decent so I could see that translate to GTA. I just don't want to see all of the heists occur in LS.

i'm surprised no ones mentioned the town yet. one of the missions could be based off the part where they try and rob the stadium, except they do it at the coliseum in gta 5.

You could probably add the Fast and the Furious series of movies in there - I have only seen a few minutes here and there of the films but there seemed to be some intricate heist type action going on at times and would be perfectly suited for a GTA game.

Fast Five falls into the heist category. This new one seems to also be heist-related, but from the other side of things, trying to stop the people doing the heists.

The game is not out and I'm already planning. I'm just thinking... driving is my strongest point in GTA, so I wont have to hire a getaway driving. If I take the stealth route, I won't have to spend alot on a gunman, I'll just get a rookie as an extra hand just in case, I can drop big bucks on a technician instead. If I'm going in through the front door with guns drawn, I'll get a couple skilled gunman and a mediocre technician.

Or just rob a 24/7 by myself with a single pistol. How does that sound?

Also, I hope I don't have to set my getaway car on fire after every heist, and instead just store it in a garage. I'm planning on upgrading the engine, suspension, brakes, and overall performance to fit my driving skill.

Suppose some nosy-ass ped peeks in your garage and recognizes the getaway vehicle from the news?

I can't stop laughing at that picture.

Having Peds rat you out would be a nice touch, but they will have to be careful with that. It could also get annoying real quick.

From the CVG map. No evidence of it, seems they're just guessing.

CVG's map... You didn't just refer to CVG's map... :luis:

Watched Heat again last night. I've seen it so many times since before GTA IV was released. Love that film.

Only because they've been the only people to reference a casino, make-believe or not.

I see.. Let's assume there's no casino in the game then, it's just all guesses and speculations with those guys ;)
